  • Michael Thomas adds 10 pounds to frame
Michael Thomas has bulked up from 210 pounds to 220.

Advice: By Pro Football Focus' count, Thomas broke 20 tackles as a rookie, fourth most amongst receivers. He will now be even harder to take down. The WR9 by total points last season, Thomas could explode to truly elite status in 2017 with Brandin Cooks out of the picture. Thomas led New Orleans in catches, targets and touchdowns last year. • OC 'really pleased' with Treadwell's progress
Vikings OC Pat Shurmur said the team has been "really pleased" with Laquon Treadwell's progress this offseason.

Advice: "He came back and he was really on point with what he’s supposed to be doing mentally," Shurmur said. "He’s been out here competing and doing a nice job running routes and catching the ball." The comments came after a practice in which Treadwell ran with the first-team offense. The Vikings brought in contingency plans this offseason, but Treadwell seems to be doing his part to ensure they are not needed. Today, 9:13 am

  • Paxton Lynch worked with first-team Wednesday
Paxton Lynch worked with the first-team during Wednesday's practice.

Advice: Trevor Siemian opened OTAs with the first-team, but the pair were always expected to alternate days. Denver7's Troy Renck added the Broncos "could not be happier" with Lynch's "work ethic, attitude and play," echoing 9 News Denver's Mike Klis rebuttal of a critical report earlier this offseason. Siemian is the slight favorite, but Lynch will get every opportunity to unseat him. Today, 7:28 am

  • Devin Funchess sitting out with ankle injury
Devin Funchess is sitting out Thursday's OTA practice with an ankle injury.

Advice: Funchess reportedly rolled his ankle during Wednesday's session. This appears to be a minor injury, but it a bad start for a player who has disappointed through two seasons. Funchess has a chance to play a bigger role this year, but he will need to stay healthy to earn targets. Today, 6:35 am

  • Arians optimistic about Jaron Brown progress
Cardinals coach Bruce Arians indicated he is optimistic about WR Jaron Brown's (ACL) health.

Advice: Brown was poised to assert himself into a bigger 2016 role before tearing his ACL late last October. The Cardinals liked him enough to sign Brown to a one-year extension less than a month later, ensuring he spent another year with the club. "We’re keeping him out of team drills because I don’t want to see him cut, but he’s running routes full speed," Arians said. "He looks great. Actually, his computer numbers are faster than they’ve ever been." Yesterday, 9:31 pm
