  • Tomlin in wait-and-see mode with Martavis
Steelers coach Mike Tomlin said he is in wait-and-see mode with suspended WR Martavis Bryant.

Advice: Bryant applied for reinstatement earlier this month, and Tomlin said he is "hopeful" the receiver will be allowed back in the league. As we have learned from Aldon Smith, being eligible for reinstatement does not guarantee it will happen, but Bryant seems to have taken the necessary steps during his ban. Tomlin's hope could end up being well-founded. Today, 9:26 am

  • Report: Browns 'very likely' to tag Pryor
Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports reports the Browns are "very likely" to place the franchise tag on Terrelle Pryor.

Advice: After locking up Jamie Collins to a long-term contract, Pryor is the next order of business for Cleveland. La Canfora believes it "would be crazy" for Pryor to sign a contract right now, suggesting he thinks the receiver will cash in as a free agent, but Pryor has already told his agents he wants to stay in Cleveland. It is not out of the question the two sides work out a deal. The tag should be worth north of $15 million for receivers in 2017. Yesterday, 7:11 pm

  • Beat writer believes D-Jax a fit for Los Angeles
ESPN's Alden Gonzalez considers impending free agent DeSean Jackson a "natural fit" for the Rams.

Advice: Jackson grew up in Los Angeles and the Rams just hired his former offensive coordinator Sean McVay as head coach. Meanwhile the Rams are looking for a top wideout to replace Kenny Britt, who is expected to sign elsewhere in free agency. Alshon Jeffery, Terrelle Pryor, Pierre Garcon and Kenny Stills are a few of the other big-name wideouts slated to hit the open market this offseason. Yesterday, 12:45 pm

  • Jets sign WR Hammond to reserve/future deal
Jets signed WR Frankie Hammond to a reserve/future contract.

Advice: Hammond was out of the league last season after being part of the Chiefs' final cuts. He appeared in 25 games for Kansas City from 2014-15, catching four passes for 45 yards while mainly pitching in on special teams. Yesterday, 8:58 am

  • Brown held to 77 yards in season-ending loss
Antonio Brown pulled in seven-of-nine targets for 77 yards Sunday in the Steelers' AFC Championship Game loss to the Patriots.

Advice: As expected, Brown drew shadow coverage from Malcolm Butler whenever he was lined up outside. The Steelers were wise to shuffle Brown around the formation and he made a few nice plays out of the slot. Brown was a little sluggish in the first half but got going late with four catches for 51 yards after halftime. It wasn’t the ending he had hoped for, but the 2016 season proved once again that Brown is a rare talent and one of the most consistent receivers in all of football. He probably won’t go first overall like he did in most leagues last summer, but Brown remains a consensus top-five pick in all fantasy formats. Sunday, 7:44 pm
