  • Report: 49ers may go 'hard' after Cousins
ESPN's Adam Schefter reports the 49ers would go "hard" after Kirk Cousins if he is available.

Advice: Even if the Redskins hit Cousins with another franchise tag, Schefter reports the 49ers may be willing to part with a trade package that includes the No. 2 overall pick to land the quarterback. With former offensive coordinator Kyle Shanahan almost certain to take over as head coach, Cousins would likely be open to a move to San Francisco. There is little doubt Washington will place the exclusive franchise tag on Cousins if the two sides cannot work out a long-term deal, but even that might not be the end of the saga. Today, 9:22 am

  • Tom Brady has thrown 19 TDs, 0 INTs vs Tomlin
Tom Brady has thrown 19 touchdowns and zero interceptions in six games against the Steelers with Mike Tomlin as the head coach.

Advice: Brady has also averaged 314.8 yards per game and owns a passer rating of 127.5 in those contests. This Steelers defense is better than some of the units Brady has faced in the past, but that kind of success is at least worth noting. With both Aaron Rodgers and Matt Ryan likely to be higher-owned, Brady could be a somewhat sneaky option in DFS this weekend. Today, 7:37 am

  • Bucs add QB Sean Renfree on futures deal
Bucs signed QB Sean Renfree to a reserve/future contract.

Advice: Renfree has been out of the league since getting cut in the preseason. He was a backup for two years in Atlanta. Renfree could open training camp as the No. 3 quarterback behind Jameis Winston and Ryan Griffin. Yesterday, 5:02 pm

  • Aaron Rodgers says he's 'under the weather'
Aaron Rodgers admitted to reporters that he felt under the weather on Friday.

Advice: "Rest fluids, all that stuff," Rodgers replied when asked what measures he's taken to deal with the illness. "We'll be okay. Jordy (Nelson) had it. Mason (Crosby) had it. I got it. We'll deal with it." Rodgers confirmed a flu or cold has been going around the team. It prevented Nelson from practicing on Friday. Rodgers did practice fully Friday and is not listed on the injury report. Yesterday, 12:47 pm

  • Retirement a possibility for Tony Romo?
Bryan Broaddus of the Cowboys' official website believes retirement is a serious possibility for Tony Romo this offseason.

Advice: Romo has already said he plans to keep playing, but that could always change as he closes in on his 37th birthday, is coming off multiple back injuries, and is being squeezed out of Dallas. Jerry Jones' main goal is to send Romo to a place he wants to play, so we ultimately expect him to play at least another year. Yesterday, 6:45 am
