• Jags and Lawrence agree on $275M extension
Jaguars signed QB Trevor Lawrence to a five-year, $275 million contract extension.

Advice: Lawrence gets $200 million in guaranteed money with this deal, with $142 million guaranteed at signing. His $55 million AAV ties Joe Burrow for the highest of any player in the league. It’s a steep but not surprising price to pay for Lawrence, who was drafted No. 1 overall by the Jaguars in 2021. Lawrence has thrown for 11,770 yards, 58 touchdowns, and 39 interceptions in 50 career games and has led his team to a 17-16 record in two years under current head coach Doug Pederson. Lawrence will play under the terms of his rookie deal in 2024 and under a fifth-year option in 2025, meaning the base salary for his new deal won’t kick in until 2026. Rotoworld Thursday, 4:01 pm

  • Inks rookie deal with Buffalo
Coleman signed a four-year rookie contract Wednesday, Alec White of the Bills' official site reports.

Advice: Coleman, selected 33rd overall in April, has a good chance to be the team's No. 1 or No. 2 receiver right out of the gate, as the Bills lack a proven guy in the entire wideout corps after trading away Stefon Diggs and not re-signing Gabe Davis during the offseason. The Bills now have all 10 of their 2024 picks signed to deals. Rotowire.com Thursday, 3:25 pm

  • Could practice, team being cautious
Hall (lower body), who has been sidelined at mandatory minicamp, said Wednesday he "could practice right now" but that "the coaches are really cautious," John Pullano of the Jets' official site reports.

Advice: "I do all the walkthroughs and stuff we've been doing," Hall said. While he's been present for the offseason program, Hall has been limited to work on the side due to what coach Robert Saleh called "some lower half stuff." The featured RB said he feels "a lot leaner this offseason" and that his knee "feels a lot better" than during the 2023 campaign. He's set lofty goals for improvement during the 2024 season, saying his targets are to earn his first All-Pro and Pro Bowl honors and match the standard of superstar 49ers running back Christian McCaffery. Fantasy managers have similarly high expectations for Hall heading into Year 3, as he's one of the few backs commonly in contention to come off the board early in Round 1 of fantasy drafts, along with McCaffrey and Bijan Robinson. • Dropped by Denver
The Broncos waived Leonard (undisclosed) with an injury settlement Thursday, Parker Gabriel of The Denver Post reports.

Advice: The 6-foot-5 tight end went undrafted out of Georgia Tech this past offseason before being picked up by the Broncos. Both the nature and severity of Leonard's injury are currently unknown, but he will be able to sign elsewhere once he proves that he's medically ready to return to the field. • Not practicing at minicamp
Hall (lower body) won't practice Tuesday, Zack Rosenblatt of The Athletic reports.

Advice: Hall missed some OTA practices in May and now will sit out the first day of June minicamp. There's been no indication of a serious injury, but it'll be something to keep an eye on ahead of training camp in late July. With Hall absent Tuesday, rookies Braelon Allen and Isaiah Davis should have opportunities to work with the first-team offense as they continue their competition for the No. 2 running back role. • Not attending minicamp
Higgins hasn't signed his franchise tag and isn't attending June minicamp, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.

Advice: Higgins would need to sign the tag before practicing and can't be fined while he's technically not under contract. He reportedly asked for a trade in March, but in April he told reporters that he expected to play for the Bengals this season. There's a July 15 deadline for franchise-tagged players to sign long-term contracts. Rotowire.com Tuesday, 6:38 am
