• Cole Beasley manages four yards in victory
Cole Beasley caught his lone target for four yards in the Cowboys' Week 3 win over the Cardinals.

Advice: He was barely even noticeable Monday night. Dak Prescott only attempted 18 passes and was going deep to Brice Butler at times or hitting Dez Bryant and Terrance Williams over the middle. Beasley is only worth owning in deeper PPR leagues. The good news is the Cowboys' schedule starts to soften. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 9:36 pm

  • J.J. Nelson goes catch-less in loss to Dallas
J.J. Nelson failed to catch any of his three targets in the Cardinals' Week 3 loss to the Cowboys.

Advice: Nelson played through a hamstring injury and saw his normal complement of snaps, but he simply couldn't make anything happen on the outside while Larry Fitzgerald (13-149-1) dominated the middle of the field. Nelson nearly made a great catch on a deep sideline shot, but replay overturned the grab, and Carson Palmer missed Nelson on another sideline shot a couple plays later where Nelson had a step. Nelson will be a boom-bust WR3/4 next week against the Niners. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 9:33 pm

  • Witten cools off with one-catch night in win
Jason Witten caught just 1-of-4 targets for three yards in the Cowboys' Week 3 win over the Cardinals.

Advice: The one-catch night is really disappointing after Witten managed a combined 17-156-2 line through the first two games. A cool-down was obviously coming soon, and the Cardinals are one of the best teams at defending tight ends. Witten will be a borderline TE1/2 next week against the Rams at home. • Jaron Brown catches touchdown in MNF loss
Jaron Brown caught 2-of-6 targets for 27 yards and one touchdown in the Cardinals' Week 3 loss to the Cardinals.

Advice: Brown looked like he might be headed for a big night, beating Anthony Brown for a 25-yard touchdown in the first quarter. He found the end zone again in the first half, but it was called back on a holding penalty by RT Jared Veldheer. Brown was barely heard from again. Terrance Williams caught 3-of-4 targets for 47 yards in the Cowboys' Week 3 win over the Cardinals.

  • Gresham posts 5-47 line in loss to Cowboys
Jermaine Gresham caught 5-of-9 targets for 47 yards in the Cardinals' Week 3 loss to the Cowboys.

Advice: Making his return from a ribs injury, Gresham was second on the team in targets behind Larry Fitzgerald's 15. But Gresham struggled mightily in pass protection and dropped a pass on Monday night. He has plenty of flaws, but Gresham is an every-down player in a pass-happy offense. • Brice Butler catches two long balls in win
Brice Butler caught both of his targets for 90 yards and one touchdown in the Cowboys' Week 3 win over the Cardinals.

Advice: Talk about making the most of your targets. Butler scored a 37-yard touchdown on his first reception, catching a beautiful ball from Dak Prescott who was on the run, and Butler then hauled in a 53-yard bomb over the top of Tyrann Mathieu in the fourth quarter to set up Ezekiel Elliott's game-sealing eight-yard touchdown two plays later. • Andre Ellington totals 81 yards in MNF defeat
Andre Ellington rushed five times for 22 yards and caught 5-of-8 targets for 59 yards in the Cardinals' Week 3 loss to the Cowboys.

Advice: It's a step up from Week 2, and Ellington led all Cardinals' backs in snaps this week, getting in on 49 plays to Chris Johnson's 31, Elijhaa Penny's two, and Kerwynn Williams' one. The Cardinals were playing catch-up in the fourth quarter, giving Ellington all of the run, but he severely out-produced Johnson, who managed just 21 yards on 13 touches. • Zeke totals 94 yards, TD in win over Arizona
Ezekiel Elliott rushed 22 times for 80 yards and one touchdown in the Cowboys' Week 3 win over the Cardinals.

Advice: He caught 3-of-4 targets for an additional 14 yards. The Cardinals really bottled up Elliott in the first half, allowing a 30-yard run but limiting Elliott to just one yard on his other seven carries. The Cowboys kept feeding him, though, and Arizona eventually started to break down. Elliott's eight-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter between RG Zack Martin and RT La'El Collins sealed the 11-point win. Elliott should have an easier time next week at home against the Rams. • Chris Johnson leads Cardinals with 12 carries
Chris Johnson rushed 12 times for 17 yards in the Cardinals' Week 3 loss to the Cowboys.

Advice: He added one catch for four yards on two targets. Johnson got the start for Arizona and led all Cardinals' backs in carries, but Andre Ellington out-snapped him 49-31. Kerwynn Williams played just one snap. Johnson seemed to be phased out in the second half, as he was getting nothing going on the ground, and the Cardinals were playing from behind much of the fourth quarter. • Dez catches two balls, scored TD in MNF win
Dez Bryant caught both of his targets for 12 yards and one touchdown in the Cowboys' Week 3 win over the Cardinals on Monday night.

Advice: Dak Prescott threw the ball just 18 times and only six times before halftime, as the Cowboys barely possessed the ball in the first half. Bryant made the most of his targets, however, turning the second one into a bully-ball 15-yard touchdown where he ran through Antoine Bethea and Tyrann Mathieu plus a couple other defenders on his way to the goal line. Bryant had a tough Weeks 1-3 schedule but came out of it with two touchdowns. Things will start to soften up a bit starting in Week 4 with a home date against the Rams. Kerwynn Williams played just 1-of-81 offensive snaps in the Cardinals' Week 3 loss to the Cowboys.

Advice: He rushed the ball for three yards on his one carry. Williams started Week 2 against the Colts in the aftermath of the David Johnson (wrist) injury, but he was awful against Indianapolis and was relegated to return-man duties in this one. Even Elijhaa Penny played more snaps (two) than Williams. Chris Johnson and Andre Ellington are the top two backs in the desert. Williams can safely be dropped in all formats. • Jordan Howard absent from Wk 4 injury report
Jordan Howard (shoulder) is absent from the Bears' Week 4 injury report.

Advice: It's a major surprise given the way Howard was favoring his shoulder on Sunday. Either way, Howard produced like he was at full health against the Steelers, and will be needed for a major workload in Thursday's game against the Packers. There's still volatility here — the Bears' offense is a weekly threat to go off the rails, and Tarik Cohen should remain the preferred passing-down back — but Howard has re-established himself in the top 20. • Howard beats Steelers with walk-off touchdown
Jordan Howard handled 23 carries for 138 yards with two touchdowns and a lost fumble while adding five catches for a team-high 26 yards on five targets Sunday in the Bears’ Week 3 win over the Steelers.

Advice: Playing with a sprained AC joint in his shoulder, Howard was nothing short of spectacular in Sunday’s victory, which happened to be the Bears’ first of the season. Howard got Chicago on the board early with a three-yard touchdown early in the first quarter and put the game on ice with a walk-off 19-yard score less than two minutes into overtime. His 28 touches Sunday were more than he had in his previous two games combined. Howard’s shoulder was definitely bothering him, particularly in the second half when he was slow to get up almost every time he got hit, but he gutted it out and came up big when the Bears needed him. Wendell Smallwood rushed 12 times for 71 yards and caught 1-of-2 targets for nine yards in the Eagles' Week 3 win over the Giants.

Advice: Smallwood was forced into a bigger role after Darren Sproles (wrist) went out early and capitalized with some explosive between-the-tackles runs. Ezekiel Elliott rushed nine times for eight yards in the Cowboys' Week 2 loss against the Broncos.

Advice: The Cowboys went away from their usual power-run offense, instead oddly deciding to spread it out. A lot of five-wide formations against a difficult pass defense hurt Elliott, and played into Denver's hands. Elliott struggled to get much of anything going as the offense was hardly on the field, unable to consistently convert on third down. It was one of Elliott's worst games as a pro. The sling is ominous because Howard was already dealing with a shoulder issue. Coach John Fox is a Venus flytrap of injury information, so we might not really get an update on Howard's status until Wednesday's injury report. • Chris Johnson best RB on field for Cards
Chris Johnson rushed 11 times for 44 yards in the Cardinals' Week 2 win over the Colts.

Advice: Johnson was the Cardinals' best runner in this game, and although he opened the contest behind Kerwynn Williams, Johnson wound up starting the second half and handling clock-milking work. Still, the Cardinals' backfield has almost no fantasy appeal because of the wide-ranging rotation. None of its members finished with more than 11 touches in Sunday's 16-13 victory. • Jaron Brown leads Cards with 11 targets
Jaron Brown caught 4-of-11 targets for 73 yards in the Cardinals' Week 2 win over the Colts.

Advice: The Colts focused their defensive attention on Larry Fitzgerald, which opened things up for Brown and J.J. Nelson on the outside. Both ripped off chunk-yardage gains, and Brown led the team in targets. Brown's fantasy outlook is still very much tied to John Brown's (quad) health. If John is out for Week 3 against the Cowboys, Jaron will be worth WR4/flex consideration. Rotoworld.com Sep 17, 1:32 pm

  • J.J. Nelson erupts for 5/120/1 on 7 targets
J.J. Nelson caught 5-of-7 targets for 120 yards and a touchdown in the Cardinals' Week 2 win over the Colts.

Advice: Nelson was the best player on the field in this one, creating separation almost at will against the Colts' overmatched secondary. Nelson nearly had two TDs, but he couldn't get both feet in on a first-half end-zone catch. Nelson atoned with a 45-yard scoring rope from Carson Palmer later in the game. Especially if John Brown (quad) can't play, Nelson will be a high-upside WR3/flex option in Week 2 against the Cowboys. Rotoworld.com Sep 17, 1:21 pm

  • Cards declare Gresham inactive against Colts
Cardinals TE Jermaine Gresham (ribs) is inactive for Week 2 against the Colts.

Advice: He'll be joined in street clothes by QB Blaine Gabbert, WR John Brown, LB Deone Bucannon, RB D.J. Foster, LT D.J. Humphries, and LG Mike Iupati. J.J. Nelson and Jaron Brown will start in three-receiver sets alongside Larry Fitzgerald. Rotoworld.com Sep 17, 8:34 am

  • Jordan Howard officially active for Week 2
Jordan Howard (shoulder) is active for Week 2 against the Bucs.

Advice: Howard's shoulder isn't a major concern as the Bears roll into Tampa as considerable road 'dogs. The matchup is, as well as Tarik Cohen. Cohen could end up leading the Bears in targets. Howard should still receive in the range of 15 touches. He remains firmly in the mid-range RB2 mix despite his minor injury and matchup. Rotoworld.com Sep 17, 8:31 am

  • Chris Johnson to back up Kerwynn Williams
NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports Chris Johnson will back up starter Kerwynn Williams Sunday against the Colts.

Advice: Andre Ellington will be the primary back on third downs with Johnson handling change-of-pace duties behind Williams. Johnson won't be an appealing fantasy option, even in a plus matchup against a Colts squad that let up 46 points in Week 1. Rotoworld.com Sep 17, 6:34 am

  • Terrance Williams likely to play Sunday
Terrance Williams (questionable, ankle) is expected to play Sunday against the Broncos.

Advice: T-Will returned to a limited practice on Friday and should be ready to roll for Sunday's 4:25 PM ET start in Denver. Facing arguably the league's best secondary on the road, fantasy owners shouldn't be pursuing Williams this week. Rotoworld.com Sep 17, 5:08 am

  • Schefter: Jordan Howard is expected to play
ESPN's Adam Schefter confirms Jordan Howard (questionable, shoulder) is expected to play in Week 2 at Tampa Bay.

Advice: Howard showed up as "limited" on injury reports this week, but there was never any doubt about his Week 2 availability. Whether he will produce against a tough Bucs defense while sharing time with Tarik Cohen is another story. Rotoworld.com Sep 16, 10:30 pm
