In the I LOVE THIS GAME Fantasy IDP league, The Allenihilator took the stage with the 6th pick in the draft order. With 24 rounds to navigate, they managed to secure a solid B draft grade. Projected to finish 4th with a record of 8-6-0, this team is ready to unleash their unique brand of chaos on the league. Despite facing the 6th toughest schedule, The Allenihilator is determined to prove that they are a force to be reckoned with.

While there were a few questionable picks, The Allenihilator's best pick came at number 70 with Cam Akers. This player, with an ADP of 56, is set to exceed expectations and make a significant impact on the team. On the other hand, their worst pick came at number 54 with Jared Goff, who had an ADP of 127. It seems like The Allenihilator couldn't resist the allure of drafting three players from the same team, with Jared Goff, Alex Anzalone, and Tracy Walker III all joining forces. Will this trio bring harmony or chaos to the team? Only time will tell, but one thing's for sure - The Allenihilator is ready to annihilate the competition!

Inside the Draft

Player Outlooks

WR - Round 1, Pick 6 - Bye 10

2023 Rank: 3 - 2022 Rank: 19

Hill's record of exceptional on-field play has been consistent enough that his first year in Miami may actually be flying under the radar. Wide receivers usually see a dip in production in their first year with a new team, but Hill's inaugural season with the Dolphins saw him rack up a career-high 1,710 receiving yards (11th most in NFL history) to go with eight total touchdowns. The speedster managed that feat despite enduring tumultuous injuries at the quarterback position, and catching passes from a third-stringer by the end of the season. Part of the credit needs to go to coach Mike McDaniel's outstanding offensive scheme, and to Tua Tagovailoa's play under center. But the ultimate takeaway is that Hill is a game-breaker still in his prime. In 17 games last season, Hill broke 100 yards on seven occasions and led the entire NFL with 3.20 yards per route run. He seems a likely candidate for positive touchdown regression, especially if Tagovailoa can put together an fully healthy season. With Jaylen Waddle present to keep defenses honest but no other target competition of real significance, Hill finds himself in the perfect situation to once again produce Top-5 wide receiver stats.

QB - Round 2, Pick 11 - Bye 13

2023 Rank: 24 - 2022 Rank: 2

Allen has been strikingly consistent the last three seasons, though his 4,283 passing yards in 2022 took a slight dip, after he finished with over 4,400 the previous two years. He's had 37, 36 and 35 passing touchdowns consecutively, and his 2022 rushing line of 124-762-7 was almost identical to 2021's mark. Consistency and excellence don't often overlap, but it's a feat that Allen has unquestionably managed. The Bills are likewise running it back with a relatively similar roster, despite having yet again failed to advance past the AFC divisional round, though the addition of first-round TE Dalton Kincaid certainly provides upside. Allen managed to excel in 2022 despite playing through a serious elbow injury, though he's expected to be fully healthy by Week 1. Stefon Diggs and Gabe Davis return as his top receivers, while tight ends Dawson Knox and Kincaid should perform well as a tandem, even if the learning curve for rookies at the position is steep. Damien Harris could be a more helpful power rusher than Devin Singletary, who departed in free agency, but the stage is set for Allen to once again thrive on the ground as much as through the air.

WR - Round 3, Pick 22 - Bye 7

2023 Rank: 11 - 2022 Rank: 33

The 17th overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, Lamb's numbers have climbed steadily through his first three seasons. He emerged as Dak Prescott's clear top option in 2022 after Amari Cooper was traded to the Browns. Lamb's production really took off last year once Prescott put a thumb injury behind him, and after the Cowboys' Week 9 bye, the wideout averaged nearly 90 yards a game through 11 regular-season and postseason contests while finding the end zone seven times. That breakthrough was more impressive considering the Oklahoma product was essentially a one-man show downfield for Dallas last year, as the front office never found an adequate replacement for Cooper, but that shouldn't be an issue in 2023. Lamb's supporting cast got a significant boost in the spring with the addition of Brandin Cooks, whose ability to stretch the field should open things up underneath on the routes where Lamb thrives. While it is hard to project Lamb's target volume to increase much beyond the 9.2 passes per game he saw in 2022, his efficiency might find another gear if Cooks can draw attention from defenders.

RB - Round 4, Pick 27 - Bye 6

2023 Rank: 16 - 2022 Rank: 16

Not much went right for the Raiders in 2022, but Jacobs' season was one glaring exception. After a merely 'good' first three years to his NFL career, Jacobs went nuts and matched or set career highs in all of carries (340), rushing yardage (1,653), rushing touchdowns (12), yards per carry (4.9), targets (64) and receiving yardage (400) in 2022. Jacobs also logged a career high in snaps, his 783 in 2022 blazing past the previous high of 616 (2020). As much as coach Josh McDaniels struggled to run the Raiders in general, there does seem to be a solid link between the arrival of McDaniels (and Davante Adams) and this new level of production from Jacobs. McDaniels seems to have found a collection of playcalls that allows the two threats to play off of each other, keeping defenses off balance despite knowing either Jacobs or Adams will get the ball on most plays.

WR - Round 5, Pick 38 - Bye 7

2023 Rank: 40 - 2022 Rank: 1496

Prior to sitting out most of the 2021 season to address mental health issues and subsequently being suspended for the 2022 campaign due to gambling, Ridley had established himself as an elite wide receiver. In his last full season, Ridley posted 1,374 yards and nine touchdowns with the Falcons. He'll likely take some time to get back up to game speed after the extended layoff, but Ridley has the skills to become the favorite target for rising star quarterback Trevor Lawrence in a Jacksonville passing game that also features WRs Christian Kirk and Zay Jones, as well as TE Evan Engram. The 28-year-old Ridley should still be in his physical prime, but returning to elite form after an extended layoff isn't easy. For instance, former standout RB Le'Veon Bell was never the same after sitting out the 2018 season due to a contract dispute.

RB - Round 6, Pick 43 - Bye 7

2023 Rank: 25 - 2022 Rank: 332

Hall tore his ACL in Week 7 last season just as he was emerging as a dominant workhorse RB, making the injury all the more frustrating. The 2022 second-round pick started slowly, with less than 50 rushing yards in his first three appearances, but the Jets finally shifted gears Week 4 and handed Hall the majority of backfield work. Hall hopes to return by Week 1, and New York's offense looks primed to take a significant step forward in 2023 with Aaron Rodgers at the helm. But the Jets likely will take their time with Hall, especially after signing Dalvin Cook in August. Cook could start Week 1, and even when Hall returns could still steal touches as the No. 2. That said, if Hall returns to his pre-injury form and Rodgers indeed boosts the offense this season, Hall could even see an uptick in scoring opportunities.

QB - Round 7, Pick 54 - Bye 9

2023 Rank: 115 - 2022 Rank: 10

In many fantasy leagues, Goff was an afterthought going into the 2022 season. He ended up being a very strong fantasy performer. His 29:7 TD:INT was the best of his seven-year career. He also had an impressive 65.1% completion rate. Although that percentage was 2% lower than his previous two seasons, that could be explained away by his 7.6 yards per attempt, which was his highest in the previous four years. Goff completed 12 passes of at least 40 yards while posting 300 yards in five games. The only knock on his season was that he was very different at home versus on the road. He threw 23 touchdown passes at home but only six in away games. Goff has very good weapons going into the season, though Jameson Williams will miss the first six games (suspension). It's clear that the Detroit coaching staff is willing to let their quarterback air the ball out. Since it's possible that Goff's road struggles continue, he may be best viewed as a streaming option in leagues that require one starting quarterback.

WR - Round 8, Pick 59 - Bye 5

2023 Rank: 57 - 2022 Rank: 77

Lockett has been one of the most consistent performers in the NFL over the last four years. During that time, he's posted between 1,033 and 1,175 yards. He's also scored between 8-10 touchdowns in five straight years. His targets have also been consistent, as he has seen between 107 and 117 in three of the last four years. Last year, he had an excellent weekly scoring floor. He posted at least 60 yards in 10 games. He's going into his age 31 season, so decline is likely on the horizon, but from what we've seen, he may likely have a gradual descent opposed to a complete loss of skills. Lockett will likely be a value in drafts like he was last year, and betting on his consistency over many years seems like a safe bet.

RB - Round 9, Pick 70 - Bye 13

2023 Rank: 87 - 2022 Rank: 224

Akers had a weird 2022 season. We'll never know if he was still recovering from the Achilles injury he suffered in 2021. In Weeks 1-10, he averaged 2.83 yards per carry and was benched for two games. Although he faced four of the top 10 defenses in those seven games, he looked as if he was struggling to get to the line of scrimmage before getting hit on most carries. After his banishment, he continued to struggle, as he played 21 snaps but ran for just 2.72 yards per carry. However, he was a completely different player during the last eight games of the season. He rushed for 4.8 yards per carry, though he did that against an easy schedule. He was specifically excellent in Weeks 15 through 18 when he faced defenses in the bottom 10 in three of the four games. He had at least 100 scrimmage yards in each of those games along with a three-touchdown performance. and during that stretch, he averaged 5.47 yards per carry while also catching nine passes. So the big question becomes whether his resurgence had to do with schedule or recovering from his injury. It's likely that the answer is somewhere in the middle. ranking him around RB20 seems safe, as he should get volume, though we're unsure as to what level he'll play at. If it was just a matter of Akers getting back to full health, he will be one of the biggest steals in fantasy drafts, but there is definitely a risk.

LB - Round 10, Pick 75 - Bye 14

2023 Rank: 1207 - 2022 Rank: 39

Luvu entered the 2022 season known almost exclusively for his work on special teams. He had never totaled more than 43 tackles in any of his first four pro campaigns, but he enjoyed a breakout season with increased opportunity. Despite missing two games, he registered 111 stops to go with seven sacks - both marks were second on the Panthers - and four passes defended. Those numbers are impressive on their own, but he also displayed big-play ability by forcing a fumble and returning his only interception for a score. Looking forward, Luvu faces a transition to new coordinator Ejiro Evero's 3-4 scheme, but he is slated to start alongside Shaq Thompson at inside linebacker. Whether he can reproduce last year's success remains to be seen, but Luvu's stock nonetheless has never been higher.

S - Round 11, Pick 86 - Bye 10

2023 Rank: 589 - 2022 Rank: 244

LB - Round 12, Pick 91 - Bye 6

2023 Rank: 1098 - 2022 Rank: 97

As could be expected for a first-round pick, Walker was immediately slotted into a starting role among the Packers' linebacker corps in 2022. He led the team in tackles - an impressive feat - despite tallying five or fewer stops in six contests. That was a sign of his immaturity as a player, as were the two games from which he was ejected for making contact with an opposing coach. While there are areas to smooth out, Walker also proved quickly why he was worthy of a first-round selection. In addition to his aforementioned run-stopping ability, Walker was also able to quickly translate his athleticism into effective coverage by breaking up seven passes. Assuming he can become more consistent in his decision-making and level of play, Walker has every opportunity to vault up these rankings and is a prime breakout candidate.

S - Round 13, Pick 102 - Bye 6

2023 Rank: 592 - 2022 Rank: 110

In a move that was hotly debated, the Steelers traded a first-round pick for Fitzpatrick in 2019. He's certainly held up his end of the deal, averaging 100 tackles and four interceptions in his three full seasons with Pittsburgh. Those stats don't accurately describe the impact that Fitzpatrick has on the defense, as he's proven to be a big-play threat in coverage. He's tallied at least nine pass breakups in all but one of his seasons. In addition, his ball-hawking has translated into five career touchdowns, including a 31-yard interception return in a Week 1 win against the Bengals in 2022. That big-play potential is the secret weapon in Fitzpatrick's fantasy arsenal, something that sets him apart from most other IDP options.

LB - Round 14, Pick 107 - Bye 11

2023 Rank: 890 - 2022 Rank: 353

Andersen, a 2022 second-round pick, began his rookie season in a reserve role but steadily increased his workload as the season progressed. Ultimately, he replaced Mykal Walker as a starting inside linebacker after Atlanta's Week 14 bye and posted 21 tackles across his final four games. He finished his rookie campaign with 69 stops, one forced fumble, and one pass defended. Andersen is known for his speed, which should allow him to stick with opposing backs and tight ends in coverage. It could also mean an increase in pass-rushing responsibility, as he had zero sacks in his rookie campaign. Overall, Andersen should be viewed as a full-time starter heading into his sophomore season, though Walker remains on the roster and could be a threat to Andersen's role if he stumbles.

LB - Round 15, Pick 118 - Bye 7

2023 Rank: 1248 - 2022 Rank: 58

Kendricks has established himself as one of the premier inside linebackers across his prolific eight-year career. He can safely be penciled in for 100 tackles, as he even managed 107 stops across 11 games in an injury-plagued 2021 campaign. In addition to his run-stuffing abilities, Kendricks is also excellent in coverage, as he's managed at least six passes defended in all but two seasons. His work as a pass rusher is a bit more inconsistent, though he did rack up five sacks as recently as 2021. The one thing that has changed for the first time in his career is Kendricks' team, as he left Minnesota to join the Chargers in the offseason. That should mean little in terms of a change in role, as the team committed $13.3 million to him across the next two seasons. Despite the shift in scenery, expect more of the same from Kendricks in 2023.

DE - Round 16, Pick 123 - Bye 5

2023 Rank: 1624 - 2022 Rank: 104

QB - Round 17, Pick 134 - Bye 5

2023 Rank: 161 - 2022 Rank: 958

Howell made only one start last year as a rookie, and that came in Week 18, but the North Carolina product appears poised to begin 2023 as the starting quarterback for Washington. The team cleared the way for the 2022 fifth-round pick to take over by releasing Carson Wentz and letting Taylor Heinicke walk in free agency. Howell has the arm talent to succeed in the NFL, but he lacks game-changing mobility and has to prove he can diagnose coverage quickly enough to take full advantage of a solid group of wideouts led by Terry McLaurin and Jahan Dotson. The Commanders brought in Eric Bieniemy to run the offense, and the former Kansas City offensive coordinator will likely focus on setting Howell up for quick strikes rather than leave him hanging in the pocket behind what was one of the league's poorer offensive lines in 2022. If Howell stumbles badly, veteran Jacoby Brissett is a capable backup, but the younger QB will get every chance to show he can solve the franchise's long-running woes at the position.

WR - Round 18, Pick 139 - Bye 5

2023 Rank: 55 - 2022 Rank: 103

Evans is coming off an odd season. The numbers ended up where they needed to be, as his 1,124 receiving yards were his most since 2019. In addition, his 77 receptions and 127 targets were his most since 2018. With touchdowns being unpredictable, the fact he scored six, which was his fewest since 2017, was understandable. From a week-to-week standpoint, his performance was frustrating. He had eight games with two-to-four receptions. And over his last eight games, he surpassed 60 yards twice. And he really had just two big games all year, though one of those was in Week 17, and it may have helped win leagues, as he surpassed 200 yards with three TDs. With Tom Brady gone and Baker Mayfield in, that may not be optimal. But having shown that he hasn't slowed down entering his age-30 season, if he gets reasonable QB play, he should have a chance for a top-20 season.

WR - Round 19, Pick 150 - Bye 10

2023 Rank: 102 - 2022 Rank: 273

Brown is at his best when he's used as a downfield target, however he had a career low 6.6 yards per target and 10.6 yards per reception with the Cardinals last year. It didn't help that Kyler Murray missed the end of the season with a knee injury, but regardless, this was far from a big play offense last year. There's also concern that Murray may not be ready to start the season due to his injury. Brown did miss Weeks 7 through 11 with an injury last year, but he had been coming on just before then. He posted at least 68 yards in each of the five games leading up to week 11. And during that stretch, he averaged 11.6 targets with no fewer than nine in any game. but once he returned, and specially due to the quarterback play, he never surpassed 61 yards the rest of the way. If Murray was going to be a full go for the season, Brown's fantasy value would be much higher. but if Murray misses time, the drop off in quarterback play is so significant that it hurts Brown's fantasy value.

RB - Round 20, Pick 155 - Bye 13

2023 Rank: 36 - 2022 Rank: 140

A second-round pick in 2020, Swift flashed his talent and upside over three seasons with the Lions but also demonstrated an unfortunate propensity for getting hurt, and he got flipped to the Eagles in the offseason. Having proven he can't hold up under a big workload, the Georgia product could find himself in a somewhat ideal situation in the final year of his rookie contract, as coach Nick Sirianni has leaned toward using a backfield committee during his time at the helm in Philadelphia. The big question will be who's involved in that committee for any particular week in 2023. Miles Sanders is now in Carolina, but Swift will be joined by fellow injury-prone newcomer Rashaad Penny, and holdovers Kenneth Gainwell and Boston Scott have had their moments in an Eagles uniform. Swift's three-down skill set gives him more versatility than Penny, but the duo could both be extremely effective behind the team's elite offensive line if reduced volume allows them to stay out of the trainer's room.

LB - Round 21, Pick 166 - Bye 9

2023 Rank: 1223 - 2022 Rank: 80

Entering the 2022 season, Anzalone had shown the ability to stay on the field and produce at an elite clip on a per-game basis. However, those things had never coalesced. That changed in 2022, as he put up a career year highlighted by 125 tackles. Across two campaigns with the Lions, he has also shown significant involvement in pass defense by breaking up a combined 13 passes. Detroit acknowledged Anzalone's importance to their defensive scheme and rewarded him with a three-year, $18.75 million this offseason -- positioning him as the 13th-best paid inside linebacker in the league. With that new deal, he'll be expected to anchor a young and potential-filled linebacker corps, highlighted by Jack Campbell and Malcolm Rodriguez.

LB - Round 22, Pick 171 - Bye 5

2023 Rank: 1159 - 2022 Rank: 284

Owusu-Koramoah made an instant impact among the Browns linebacker corps as a rookie in 2021, playing 584 snaps. He was still in a rotational role in year two but was set to take a step forward before a foot injury sidelined him for the final four games of the campaign. He was on the field for OTAs, so he should be back and fully healthy for the upcoming campaign. There's no doubt that Owusu-Koramoah has a diverse skill set, and he's been asked by the Browns to fill a weakside linebacker role. That leaves him a lot of responsibility in coverage, which he's responded to by tallying a combined eight passes defended through two seasons. He similarly chips in against the run, racking up a combined 146 tackles as a pro. The only thing Owusu-Koramoah hasn't shown is consistent ability as a pass rusher, though perhaps that will come if he finds his way onto the field more in 2023.
