  • Mark Ingram to pay through questionable tag
NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports Mark Ingram (toe/knee, questionable) is expected to play in Week 14 at Tampa Bay.

Advice: Ingram took Thursday's practice off, but he turned in "limited" sessions on Wednesday and Friday and was always seen as likely to play. Ingram played through his toe injury in Week 13 and left the field at one point, but returned. Per Rapoport, Ingram "should be moving better" in this week's game against the Bucs. • Vikings preparing without FS Smith
Minnesota is preparing for Week 14 with Anthony Harris at safety due to FS Harrison Smith's (ankle) absence.

Advice: Smith suffered a Grade 3 high-ankle sprain in Week 13 and won't see any action during the final weeks of the regular season. The Vikings are prepared to move on with Harris filling-in. "Anthony is a little quicker with understanding the different nuances of things he has to do," coach Mike Zimmer said. The Vikings D/ST will be a top-tier fantasy option in Week 14 against Jacksonville and QB Blake Bortles, who leads the NFL in interceptions and has turned the ball over multiple times in three of the last four weeks. ESPN's Adam Schefter reports the Falcons aren't sure if Julio Jones (questionable, toe) will play Sunday.

Advice: Jones is a game-time decision after not practicing all week. He might not be more than a decoy if active. The Falcons have a late game against the Rams, but there should be an update on Jones early Sunday. Jones will be a high-risk WR1 if he plays. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 5:46 pm

Rob Kelley has rushed for under four yards on 23 of his last 28 carries.

Advice: Kelley has a 4.1 YPC outside of a 66-yard run against the Packers. Despite the negative trends, coach Jay Gruden wants Kelley "more involved." Kelley has an appealing Week 14 matchup against a downward-spiraling Eagles defense. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 3:39 pm

Cleveland has allowed 100 or more rushing yards in seven consecutive games.

Advice: The Browns have coughed up more than 100 yards on the ground in 10 of 12 games this season, and own the NFL's second-worst run defense. Opponents are breaking off 4.5 yards per carry against Cleveland, who will host Cincinnati in Week 14 in likely snowy conditions. The Arizona defense has allowed just 10 touchdown passes in 2016 while not allowing a single 300-yard passing performance.

Advice: "It shows the guys we have in the secondary and the faith the D-coordinator has in the secondary to continue to dial up pressure and leave us out on an island," said CB Patrick Peterson. Tyrann Mathieu (shoulder) has been ruled out for Week 14 and is reportedly contemplating surgery, so Tyvon Branch should see additional work when Arizona takes on Miami. • Ladarius Green's snap total might be capped
ESPN Steelers reporter Jeremy Fowler believes 30-40 snaps is Ladarius Green's "range because of the Steelers’ run-heavy sets."

Advice: Green saw his snap share jump to 48 percent last week against the Giants, but that might be his ceiling if Fowler is correct. The good news is Green runs a route on almost all of his snaps, giving him plenty of target opportunities despite the limited snap percentage. With a pretty favorable schedule down the stretch, Green should be a solid TE1 the rest of the way. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 9:29 am

  • Forsett familiar with 99 percent of offense
Justin Forsett said 99 percent of the Broncos' offense is the same as the system he ran under Gary Kubiak in Baltimore.

Advice: "You gotta be patient with decisive decision-making," Forsett said. "I love it because it gives you a lot of options and freedom that some of the other schemes don’t allow you to have." The familiarity should allow Forsett to take on a big role right out of the gate, with Kubiak expecting him to "split" work with Devontae Booker this week against the Titans. • O'Brien calls Grimes a 'situational player'
Texans coach Bill O'Brien called Jonathan Grimes a "situational player."

Advice: Grimes averaged a healthy 8.6 yards on five carries last week against the Packers with most of those runs converting long third downs, but it does not look like he is headed for a bigger workload. "If there's a bunch of situational plays in the game, he's going to come up big for us," O'Brien said. "He's come up big for us on third down. He does certain things on first and second down, two-minute drill. I mean the guy does a little bit of everything for us and that's a guy that is very valuable to a pro football team." Advice: "For a big back, he’s got some quickness. He gets through the hole quickly, especially when we block it up the right way," Loggains said. "I think he has really good vision and I think he has really good feet for a big back." This has been a lost season for the Bears, but the emergence of Howard is one of the most promising developments. • Report: Julio Jones will be 'a decoy at best'
    D. Orlando Ledbetter of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports Julio Jones will be "a decoy at best" Week 14 against the Rams.

Advice: Ledbetter is doubling down on his Friday report that Jones will not play. Coach Dan Quinn said Friday he "anticipates" Jones will be active, but Ledbetter says he is "calling coach's bluff." Playing in an afternoon kick and potentially limited to decoy status, Jones looks way too risky to trust in the first week of the fantasy playoffs. Owners should find other options.Daily Slant: It’s a great spot to fire up Taylor Gabriel in tournaments. Mohamed Sanu has already been ruled out and if Jones is a decoy, Gabriel would become the de facto number one receiver. His role has increased over the past four games; he’s seen at least five targets in each and caught three touchdowns in that stretch. If Jones starts, Gabriel will have a nice matchup with E.J. Gaines, who has allowed 0.43 fantasy points per route defended, the third-most in the league. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 7:10 am

Advice: The transaction is not yet official, but it is expected to come "barring anything unforeseen" during Saturday's practice. Vereen is also expected to be active Sunday night against the Cowboys, but his role is questionable in an already jumbled backfield. Vereen is a fine stash in PPR leagues, but he is too risky to trust in the first week of the playoffs. Vereen's presence makes Rashad Jennings an even lower floor RB3. • Lombardi: CLE will 'go hard after' Garoppolo
Fox Sports' Mike Lombardi said the Browns will "go hard after" Jimmy Garoppolo this offseason.

Advice: Lombardi has worked for both organizations recently, so this is likely not just idle chatter. "I think Cleveland understands, Hue Jackson specifically understands he needs a quarterback. I think they’ll be very aggressive," Lombardi said. "I think Jimmy Garoppolo’s on top of their list, and I think they’ll go hard after him." With Tom Brady showing no signs of slowing down and Garoppolo set to be a free agent in 2018, it makes sense for the Patriots to move the young quarterback this offseason. The Browns have the picks to make a big move if Garoppolo is really their guy. Advice: That puts him on track to play Sunday against Tampa Bay. Ingram has had some big weeks recently, but his usage remains somewhat of a guessing game. • Julio Jones in danger of missing Week 14?
    D. Orlando Ledbetter of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution tweeted Friday that he is not anticipating Julio Jones (toe, questionable) will play in Week 14 against the Rams.

Advice: This is just a beat writer guess, but reinforces that Julio is no lock to be active against the Rams after he did little to nothing during the practice week. Officially, Jones was listed as "DNP" all three days. Coach Dan Quinn said Friday that he "anticipates" Julio playing, but that may be mere coachspeak. If Julio is indeed active, he will be a boom-bust WR1. It's a very tough situation in the fantasy playoffs because Falcons-Rams doesn't kick off until 4:25 PM ET. Rotoworld.com Friday, 10:59 am

  • Julio Jones to be a game-time decision
Julio Jones (turf toe, questionable) will be a game-time decision Sunday in Week 14 against the Rams.

Advice: Jones is dealing with turf toe and didn't do much at practice this week. It's a dicey situation for fantasy owners with the Falcons not playing until 4:25 PM ET on Sunday. Coach Dan Quinn is "anticipating" that Jones will be available on Sunday, though he'll obviously be at far less than 100 percent. Fantasy owners need to have a backup plan in place. ESPN's Adam Schefter has reported the Falcons are "optimistic" Jones will suit up against the Rams, but he's genuinely questionable. Even if he does play, it's quite possible he'll be a decoy. Advice: Forsett was just claimed off waivers on Monday, but he knows Kubiak's offense after playing for him with the Texans earlier in his career. Booker has averaged a pitiful 2.80 YPC in the five games since taking over as the Broncos' starter, and it appeared Kapri Bibbs was getting set to overtake him before landing on I.R. earlier this week. "We ideally would like to get that running game going a little bit more," Gruden said, "more touches for Robert because he’s been very good as far as running the football." Devontae Booker has struggled mightily in five straight games (2.80 YPC), while Forsett has full knowledge of Kubiak's offense after playing for him in Baltimore and enjoying the best year of his career with Kubiak coordinating the Ravens' 2014 offense. Ladarius Green delivered six catches for a career-high 110 yards and one touchdown on 11 targets Sunday in the Steelers' Week 13 win over the Giants.

Advice: After seeing limited snaps in his first few games, the training wheels came off for Green on Sunday. With the Giants putting all their time and energy into shutting down Antonio Brown, Green had free reign on Sunday. He was seemingly wide open on every pass that was thrown to him, breaking off gains of 37, 33 and 20 yards. Landon Collins missed his assignment on Green’s only touchdown of the afternoon, which came late in the third quarter. • Rob Kelley rushes for 63 on just 14 carries
Rob Kelley rushed 14 times for 63 yards Week 13 against the Cardinals.

Advice: Kelley looked great against a tough run defense. He had a spectacular jump cut through a hole and into space on a 19-yard run in the second quarter, and he came up just inches short of a touchdown right after halftime. It actually looked like Kelley got in on the play, but the Redskins did not challenge. Kirk Cousins vultured him on a QB sneak the next play. The problem is Kelley offers nothing in the passing game -- he had a bad drop in the end zone which would have been called back by a penalty anyway -- and is subject to disappear if the Redskins are forced to throw. That likely will not be the case in Philly next week, however, making Kelley a solid RB2. Rotoworld.com Dec 4, 5:21 pm

Jarvis Landry pulled in 11-of-14 targets for 87 yards Sunday in the Dolphins' Week 13 loss to the Ravens.

Advice: Landry did almost all of his damage after halftime as the Dolphins attempted 26 second-half passes. He made a boneheaded play in the first half by stepping out of bounds on third down with 1:06 remaining. That gave Baltimore enough time to boot a field goal to end the half. Landry was also the intended receiver on the second of Ryan Tannehill’s two interceptions. The 14 targets and 11 catches were both season-highs. The per-carry average wasn't great, but Howard ran hard all game and faced stacked fronts trying to kill the clock late. Ingram absolutely tore it up in last week's romp over the Rams, but it's fair to wonder how often he'll get the ball at less than 100 percent. Our guess is that Hightower will probably win the touch war, making him the slightly better fantasy play. Ingram is on the RB2 borderline for Week 13. Tim Hightower would handle most of the backfield work if Ingram can't get cleared for Sunday's game against Detroit. Ingram is coming off a two-touchdown, 167-yard performance against Los Angeles in Week 12. Rotoworld.com Dec 1, 12:17 pm

  • Jets: Hackenberg still 'developmental player'
Speaking Thursday, Jets OC Chan Gaily called No. 4 QB Christian Hackenberg a "developmental player."

Advice: "There's a lot of talent there," Gailey claimed. "The sky's the limit. Still don't know." If the Jets truly believed the sky was the limit for the No. 51 overall pick, they would have already thrown him out there. Ryan Fitzpatrick is a failed state, Geno Smith is injured and Bryce Petty is not a legit NFLer. Hack seems on his way to joining Petty, which of course would surprise no one who watched his college film. The Jets have been straight up giving away draft picks the past few years. • McAdoo says Vereen is 'in good condition'
Giants coach Ben McAdoo said Shane Vereen (triceps, injured reserve) looked to be "in good condition" in his first practice Wednesday.

Advice: Conditioning can be a concern coming out of a long injury layoff, but Vereen's triceps injury did not affect his ability to run. He will still have to prove his strength is back before the Giants allow him on the field, but it looks like he has a good shot to return next week against the Cowboys. Vereen is worth a look in PPR formats. Rotoworld.com Dec 1, 6:34 am
