Led by a Stellar WR Corps, Noel's Nice Team Is a Team to Watch Out For

Draft Summary

Noel's Nice Team took a high draft pick and turned it into a playoff-caliber squad with a projected record of 9-5-0 (1,536). They should be able to roll through most of Yahoo Public 861403 League on their way to a projected fourth-place finish. They used their first three picks on wideouts Antonio Brown (1st overall), Mike Evans (20th), and Sammy Watkins (21st), giving them a competitive "500" team that should dominate the playground in no time. If these players can play up to expectations, Noel's Nice Team can have some success. They are the most prolific group of WRs in the league.

Not bad, but you've still got room for improvement. Becoming a Toyota Hall Of Famer would certainly qualify. Nominate yourself now.

Noel's Nice Team should use Week 8 to finally build that mini trainyard. Really just about anything other than checking fantasy football will do. Their top three projected scorers (Ben Roethlisberger, Ryan Tannehill and Antonio Brown) will be on bye that week. Based on their opponents' projected points, they have one of the weakest slates. Along with having the second-easiest overall schedule, Noel's Nice Team has the easiest first four games of the season.

Draft Notes

  • Brett Favre is Just a Phone Call Away

Noel's Nice Team grabbed a couple of QBs (Ben Roethlisberger and Ryan Tannehill) that'll both be on bye in Week 8, and will be looking for a signal-caller. You can call Brett, but texting him isn't exactly recommended.

  • On Autopilot

Choosing which WRs to start should be pretty obvious most weeks for Noel's Nice Team, as projections show a healthy point difference between their third-ranked (Sammy Watkins) and fourth-ranked (DeSean Jackson) wideouts.

  • Big D

Noel's Nice Team elected to go with two DEFs instead of loading up at other spots.

  • Mr. Mendoza

Ryan Tannehill is owned in only 10% of all Yahoo! leagues. Let's hope that a.) Noel's Nice Team has some solid inside information, or b.) he's a close friend of the family.

Player Analysis

    • Antonio Brown, WR
    • Round 1, Pick 1
    Get a Grip

Check that dude for stickum! Antonio Brown figures to be a PPR monster this season, with an NFL-leading 131 projected catches.

    • Mike Evans, WR
    • Round 2, Pick 20
168 Excuses to Cheer for Mike Evans

Evans ranks 10th in the Yahoo Public 861403 League among wideouts with 168 projected fantasy points.

    • Sammy Watkins, WR
    • Round 3, Pick 21
    The Alchemist

Noel's Nice Team chose a WR who's highly likely to turn a deep ball into TD gold. Sammy Watkins is projected to rank fourth among NFL WRs in plays over 40 yards with 6.1 and TDs over 40 yards with 2.3.

    • B. Roethlisberger, QB
    • Round 4, Pick 40
    Like a Prancing Unicorn

Ben Roethlisberger is a fantasy dream. He's predicted to finish third in the NFL in passing TDs and second in passing yards. If he lives up to those numbers, it should mean good things for Noel's Nice Team.

    • Julius Thomas, TE
    • Round 5, Pick 41
    Taking a Chance

With their fifth-round pick, Noel's Nice Team threw caution to the wind. They took Julius Thomas at pick number 41 despite an ADP of 81.6 across all Yahoo! leagues.

How We Grade

Draft grades are based strictly on teams' draft performances. This is calculated by counting the number of fantasy points teams are projected to score over the course of the season using their optimal line-ups. The grades do not take schedule into account. Because of bye weeks and other variables it is possible to earn a high grade yet be projected to finish in the middle of the pack. The opposite is also true. Bottom line: Fantasy Football is like the real game. You can draft the greatest talent in the world but you still need to manage your team every week to get the most out of that talent. As a wise man once said, "On any given Sunday..."
