  • Andrew Luck ready to go for Monday night
Andrew Luck (concussion) was not listed on the final injury report and will play Monday night against the Jets.

Advice: "I’ll be full go during camp next year," said Smith. "Other than that, just taking it week by week. No need to rush it." An impending free agent, Smith will be eight months removed from surgery in July. With Bryce Petty and Christian Hackenberg under contract, Smith will likely be playing for a different team in 2017. Tom Brady (knee) is questionable for Week 13 against the Rams.

Advice: Brady sat out Wednesday's session but practiced on a limited basis on Thursday and Friday. He's in no danger of missing Week 13. • Broncos to start Paxton Lynch against Jaguars
The Broncos will start rookie Paxton Lynch at quarterback in Week 13.

Advice: The talented Jaguars pass defense has been tough on quarterbacks this season, allowing just one opposing signal caller to top 280 yards against them on the year. Lynch struggled against a weaker pass defense at home against Atlanta in Week 5, managing 223 yards on 35 attempts with one touchdown and one pick. He took six sacks behind a sub-par Broncos offensive line. Lynch will be a low-end two-quarterback-league play in Jacksonville. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 10:25 am

  • Broncos rule out Trevor Siemian for Week 13
Trevor Siemian (foot) didn't practice Friday and is out for Week 13 against the Jaguars.

Advice: While the Broncos have said Siemian could play without practicing, it's clear he has a significant injury and won't be playing against the Jags. It's a shame as Siemian is coming off his best game of the season. He's dealing with a sprained left foot and it's unclear how long the injury will linger. Advice: Coach Chuck Pagano did not commit to Luck playing against the Jets when quizzed on Friday, but he will if Luck passes this final hurdle. Luck has been able to practice all this week, and the Colts waived third-string quarterback Stephen Morris on Thursday. • Checkdowns, no balance: Bradford dinks, dunks
Sam Bradford completed 32-of-45 passes for 247 yards and a touchdown in the Vikings' 17-15, Week 13 loss to the Cowboys.

Advice: Awful line play, receivers not making plays, bad penalties on his teammates, missed calls by the refs: This one had all the usual Bradford alibis. They still couldn't obscure a simple truth: Bradford wasn't very good. Dinking and dunking like he was still with the 2010 Rams with OC Pat Shurmur, Bradford rarely threatened a thoroughly unimposing defense. He should have thrown an interception, but it was called back by a silly Cowboys penalty. Bradford did have a nice final drive with the Vikings desperately needing a touchdown, but it was the definition of too little, too late. Bradford doesn't scare opposing defenses. They sit and wait for him to check the ball down. Bradford won't be a recommended QB2 for next week's road trip to Jacksonville. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 8:43 pm

  • Prescott struggles as Cowboys eke out victory
Dak Prescott completed 12-of-18 passes for 139 yards and a touchdown in the Cowboys' 17-15, Week 13 win over the Vikings.

Advice: He added six carries for 37 yards, lost a fumble and committed second fumble late that the Cowboys were able to recover. It was probably Prescott's second worst start of the season, but it came in a victory all the same. Having trouble hitting big plays against the Vikings' elite defense, Prescott did manage to extend a few drives with his legs. The uninspiring performance was hardly all Dak's fault, and it was not a concerning outing. Prescott should bounce-back to QB1 status against the Giants next Sunday night. Advice: At this point, Siemian is looking unlikely to suit up against the Jaguars, even though coach Gary Kubiak has claimed he could play without practicing. Speaking Thursday, Jets OC Chan Gaily called No. 4 QB Christian Hackenberg a "developmental player."

Advice: "There's a lot of talent there," Gailey claimed. "The sky's the limit. Still don't know." If the Jets truly believed the sky was the limit for the No. 51 overall pick, they would have already thrown him out there. Ryan Fitzpatrick is a failed state, Geno Smith is injured and Bryce Petty is not a legit NFLer. Thomas is certainly an interesting size/speed prospect at 6-foot-6, 248 pounds with 4.61 wheels. Despite Pryor's success, most of these kinds of position shifts fail. Advice: Rodgers needed treatment on the sidelines during the game, but the injury never appeared to be a real concern. • Wentz gets little help in MNF loss to Packers
Carson Wentz completed 24-of-36 passes for 254 yards, no touchdowns, and one interception in the Eagles' Week 12 loss to the Packers.

Advice: He was able to help fantasy owners some with four rushes for 33 yards and one touchdown on the ground. His touchdown run was super impressive on the Eagles' first series, diving head-first into the end zone to answer the Packers' opening score. But Wentz got very little help from his supporting cast, especially after Jordan Matthews left in the second quarter with an ankle injury. Wentz was left with Dorial Green-Beckham and Bryce Treggs out wide. Wentz was under serious pressure in the second half as well, taking four sacks in total. Aaron Rodgers completed 30-of-39 passes for 313 yards and two touchdowns in the Packers' 27-13, Week 12 win over the Eagles on Monday night.

Advice: This might have been his best performance of the season. The 76.9 percent completion rate is a new single-game high, while the 8.0 YPA is his third-best mark of the year. Rodgers was near-flawless in this one, threading the needle with a beautiful 20-yard touchdown pass to Davante Adams on his second score after drilling Adams on a 12-yard slant pattern touchdown on the first. He made things happen with his legs, as usual, escaping the very minimal pressure he faced Monday, and finding open receivers downfield. Rodgers appeared to injure his left hamstring at one point and had to go into a mysterious black tent on the sideline to get a pad put beneath his pants. • Derek Carr not concerned about finger injury
Derek Carr doesn't expect his finger injury to be a concern for Week 13.

Advice: "It's a little sore, but that's expected," Carr said in a radio interview. "But should be good. Just get some swelling down and we'll be alright." Carr might get in a limited practice on Wednesday, but there's little doubt about his status after he played through the issue against the Panthers. Rotoworld.com Monday, 10:49 am

  • Lions add 'TE' Logan Thomas to practice squad
Lions signed former quarterback Logan Thomas to their practice squad as a tight end.

Advice: Thomas' quarterback career was doomed from the start by significant accuracy issues, but he is a solid athlete and has great size at 6-foot-6, 248 pounds. Thomas is nothing more than a developmental project, but he is a worthy one for a team which has very little behind Eric Ebron. Rotoworld.com Monday, 10:03 am

Colts coach Chuck Pagano expects Andrew Luck (concussion) to play Monday night against the Jets.

Advice: Luck said after practice he feels "100 percent" and "ready to go." Luck still has at least one hurdle to jump in the concussion protocol, but there is little doubt he will be ready for Monday night. He will be a high-end QB1 against the Jets. Rotoworld.com Monday, 8:39 am

Andrew Luck (concussion) returned to practice Monday.

  • Tom Brady says knee 'better than last Monday'
Tom Brady said his knee is "better than last Monday."

Advice: Brady was clearly affected by the injury against the Jets, but he was able to find his form for a game-winning touchdown drive in the fourth quarter. • Sam Bradford wants to throw more downfield
Sam Bradford said he wants to push the ball downfield more often moving forward.

Advice: Bradford was efficient dinking and dunking against the Lions on Thanksgiving, but it did not lead to any offensive success. "I think schematically, that was just kind of how we decided to attack [the Lions]," Bradford said. "But I think after last week, we realized that we've got to be a little more balanced in how we go out there and do that." Bradford has actually been successful down the field this season, completing 53.1 percent of his throws which traveled 15 yards or more according to ESPN Stats and Info, but the offensive line has prevented the Vikings from taking many deep shots. Perhaps the Cowboys' limited pass rush will afford Bradford the time to push the ball downfield on Thursday. Rotoworld.com Monday, 6:22 am

  • Bowles declines to name starting quarterback
Jets coach Todd Bowles declined to name a starting quarterback following the team's Week 12 loss to the Patriots.

Advice: "I'll evaluate everything this week going forward," Bowles said. "I'm not going to make a decision today, or a rash decision one way or another." Ryan Fitzpatrick had one of his best games of the season against the Patriots, but he lost a costly fumble late in the close game. Fitzpatrick clearly gives the Jets their best chance to win, but that does not matter much with the playoffs out of reach. New York needs to see what they have in Bryce Petty, and now is as good a time as any. If Fitzpatrick does keep the starting job, he will be an interesting streaming option against the Colts. • Alex Smith manages Chiefs to overtime win
Alex Smith completed 26-of-44 passes for 220 yards and a touchdown in Kansas City's Week 12 overtime win over the Broncos.

Advice: It was a signature game from Smith, who averaged 5.0 YPA. Smith struggled to get anything going before leading the Chiefs to a game-tying touchdown drive on a three-yard pass to Tyreek Hill. He managed Kansas City to a win in overtime behind two field goals. Smith's running game continued to be a non-factor. He'll be a back-end QB2 for Week 13. Rotoworld.com Sunday, 9:45 pm

  • Trevor Siemian throws 3 TDs in Week 12
Trevor Siemian completed 20-of-34 passes for 368 yards and three touchdowns in Week 12 against the Chiefs.

Advice: Siemian struggled early, leading the Broncos to a field goal and taking three sacks from Justin Houston. He turned it around in the second half, hitting on two deep touchdowns and a red-zone score. Denver’s pass protection was shaky all night, but Siemian made some nice plays outside the pocket, rushing for a season-high 23 yards on five carries. Siemian has multiple touchdowns in three straight games, but won't be more than a low-end QB2 for Week 13 against Jacksonville. Rotoworld.com Sunday, 9:36 pm

  • Fitzpatrick holds his own against New England
Ryan Fitzpatrick completed 22-of-32 passes for 269 yards with two touchdowns and one lost fumble and rushed twice for one yard Sunday in the Jets' Week 12 loss to the Patriots.

Advice: He was sacked once for no loss. Fitzpatrick outplayed Tom Brady for most of the day on Sunday but still came up a bit short. Trailing by five with under two minutes to go, Fitzpatrick coughed up a costly fumble that essentially clinched the win for New England. Fitzpatrick played conservatively on Sunday, mostly sticking to checkdowns and underneath passes. His first touchdown came on a one-yard strike to Brandon Marshall on the first play of the second quarter. Fitzpatrick later connected with Quincy Enunwa for a 21-yard score in the fourth quarter. Officials initially ruled Enunwa out of bounds but it was overturned and called a touchdown on review. Fitzpatrick will be a solid QB2 and a potential streaming option next week against the Colts. • Brady leads New England to comeback win
Tom Brady completed 30-of-50 passes for 286 yards and two touchdowns while adding three rushes for -4 yards Sunday in the Patriots' Week 12 win over the Jets.

Advice: Brady was not at his best on Sunday, which should come as no surprise after being listed as questionable with a knee injury. He was especially sluggish in the first half when he threw for just 117 yards on 15-of-25 passing. It didn’t help that Brady played most of the game without Rob Gronkowski, who bowed out with a back injury late in the first quarter. But as Brady often does, he turned it on when the game mattered most. He was terrific on the final drive, completing six-of-nine passes for 83 yards and the game-winning touchdown, which came on an eight-yard strike to Malcolm Mitchell. Brady extended the drive by slinging a four-yard pass to James White to convert on fourth down. The MVP frontrunner will be a no-brainer QB1 against Los Angeles in Week 13. • Carr throws for 315 yards, 2 TDs thru injury
Derek Carr completed 26-of-38 passes for 315 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception in the Raiders' 35-32, Week 12 win over the Panthers.

Advice: Carr's first touchdown was a two-yard hookup with Seth Roberts on the opening series, tossing it up over CB Robert McClain in the back of the end zone. A short Latavius Murray touchdown and a Khalil Mack pick-six got the Raiders out to a 24-7 lead at half. Carr then dislocated his pinkie finger on his throwing hand in the third quarter, forcing him to miss one series in the locker room. On his first possession back, Carr threw a pick to Thomas Davis, setting the Panthers up to take a 25-24 lead. Carr marched the Raiders back, however, hooking up with Clive Walford for a red-zone touchdown over the middle. The 9-2 Raiders keep rolling and will host the Bills in Week 13. • Seahawks held to five points in Week 12 loss
Russell Wilson completed 17-of-33 passes for 151 yards and two interceptions while rushing eight times for 80 yards in the Seahawks' Week 12 loss to the Bucs.

Advice: The offense (3) barely managed more points than the defense (2) in a dreadful affair. Wilson did manage to top his season total entering the game with 80 rushing yards, but they did not come under good circumstances. Wilson was under constant pressure from the first snap, and his rushing total was just the result of him having to run for his life. The pressure seemed to affect Wilson, who misfired on several passes downfield including what could have been a couple long plays to Tyler Lockett. His final interception, which also targeted Lockett deep, ended a game where the Seahawks converted once on 11 third-down attempts. Wilson struggled in this game, but he had been playing well coming into this week. He will have a good shot to bounce back on Sunday night against the Panthers. Rotoworld.com Sunday, 4:17 pm

  • O'Brien says he will not bench Brock Osweiler
Texans coach Bill O'Brien said he will not bench Brock Osweiler.

Advice: "No," O'Brien flatly said when asked about starting backup Tom Savage. "We're going to come in here tomorrow, we're going to correct mistakes, and move on to Green Bay." Osweiler threw three interceptions in Sunday's loss to the Chargers and continues to hold the offense back with his inability to consistently make the correct decision and put the ball on target. The Texans are still a half-game up in the division, but they are in real danger of falling out of the playoff picture. If Brock struggles again next week against the Packers, O'Brien could be forced to make a change. Rotoworld.com Sunday, 3:45 pm

Derek Carr (finger) returned in the third quarter against the Panthers.

Advice: Taking a snap from under center, the ball smacked right into Carr's pinkie finger on his right (throwing) hand and dislocated or broke it. He ran off the field immediately right to the Raiders' training staff on the sideline. Carr appeared to be in a great deal of pain before going to the locker room. • Jared Goff good for one half in loss to Saints
Jared Goff completed 20-of-32 passes for 214 yards with three touchdowns, one interception and a lost fumble Sunday in the Rams' Week 12 loss to the Saints.

Advice: He was sacked three times for a loss of 36 yards. It was a tale of two halves for Goff. The rookie signal-caller got off to a hot start, completing a 31-yard pass to Todd Gurley on his first pass and later capping the Rams’ opening drive with a 21-yard touchdown strike to Tavon Austin. He also connected on touchdown passes to Lance Kendricks and Kenny Britt before halftime, though he did lose a fumble on his own 10-yard line on a strip sack by Sheldon Rankins. Overall it was a great first half for Goff. He melted down after halftime, however, throwing an interception on an ill-advised pass to Kendricks and taking a pair of bad sacks. Goff looked most comfortable in the shotgun and was at his best when he looked to his second and third reads. The first overall pick has a favorable matchup against New England’s overrated defense in Week 13. Rotoworld.com Sunday, 2:40 pm

  • Barkley throws for 316 yards, 3 TDs
Matt Barkley completed 28-of-54 passes for 316 yards, three touchdowns and two interceptions in Sunday's Week 12 loss to the Titans.

Advice: Barkley struggled early with two red-zone picks. He padded stats in the second half, throwing two of his three touchdowns in the fourth quarter. It could have been a bigger game, but Barkley had a game-winning TD dropped on the final drive. Barkley looked shaky and doesn't have a supporting cast outside of Jordan Howard. Assuming Jay Cutler sits, he'll be a low-end streamer for a Week 13 matchup with the 49ers. Rotoworld.com Sunday, 2:12 pm

  • Ryan Tannehill tosses three scores in win
Ryan Tannehill completed 20-of-30 passes for 285 yards and three touchdowns in the Dolphins' 31-24, Week 12 win over the 49ers.

Advice: It was one of the best-looking starts of Tannehill's career, with the caveat that it came against arguably the most talent-less defense of the 21st century. Tannehill would have gone over 300 yards had DeVante Parker been able to get both his feet in bounds on a pair of big plays, one of which would have been a touchdown. Tanne was dropping seeds into tight windows. The most encouraging aspect is that the performance came behind an offensive line missing three starters. Tanne faces a much stiffer Week 13 road test in the Ravens. He'll be a bottom-barrel QB2 for that one. Rotoworld.com Sunday, 2:02 pm

  • Osweiler tosses three picks in Week 12 loss
Brock Osweiler completed 22-of-37 passes for 246 yards and three interceptions Week 12 against the Chargers.

Advice: Osweiler added 23 yards and a touchdown on the ground. Brock actually made some nice throws including a bomb down the sideline to Will Fuller in the first half, but he was as inconsistent as ever. He showed his trademarked lack of touch on an early incompletion to C.J. Fiedorowicz, and he flashed his trademarked lack of accuracy on several poorly placed throws including two of his interceptions. The first was thrown behind DeAndre Hopkins while Osweiler was moving left in the first half, and the second was thrown 10 feet over Fiedorowicz’s head in the fourth quarter. Osweiler has been holding this offense back all season, and that is unlikely to change even in a great matchup against the Packers next week. Rotoworld.com Sunday, 1:59 pm

  • Taylor accounts for 2 TDs as Bills win
Tyrod Taylor completed 12-of-18 passes for 166 yards and a touchdown and rushed seven times for 38 yards and another touchdown in the Bills' Week 12 win over the Jaguars.

Advice: On a predictably slow passing day versus Jacksonville's solid pass defense, Taylor was still able to make do with his seven-yard rushing score and a 16-yard touchdown dart to Justin Hunter, on which Hunter executed an acrobatic catch. Sammy Watkins also returned on Sunday and got into the act with a 62-yard bomb in the third quarter. • Rapsheet: Bears may keep Cutler in 2017
According to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, it's "far from a sure thing" that the Bears will move on from Jay Cutler this offseason.

Advice: The general consensus is that Cutler will be released after the season, which wouldn't be hard to do because all the guaranteed money from his seven-year extension has already been paid out. However, the Bears may not be able to find a better alternative in the draft with this year's class of quarterbacks considered to be unusually weak. Cutler will carry a $12.5 million base salary in 2017, which is fairly reasonable for a starting quarterback. Brian Hoyer outplayed Cutler before he got hurt, but he's likely to be a free agent casualty. Rapoport notes that coach John Fox is not Cutler's "biggest fan," though it's unclear if that will factor into the team's decision to keep him for next season. Rotoworld.com Sunday, 6:27 am

The Colts, of course, were blown out at home by the Steelers on Thanksgiving, a result which may have gone the other way if Luck had been able to play. • Prescott throws TD, runs for another in win
Dak Prescott completed 17-of-24 passes for 195 yards and one touchdown in the Cowboys' Week 12 win over the Redskins on Thanksgiving.

Advice: He also rushed for 39 yards and a second touchdown on eight attempts. Prescott couldn't get much cooking through the air, but what he did was enough to secure the victory in what turned out to be a shootout in the fourth quarter. The score was 17-6 at the end of three frames before an offensive eruption took place in the final 15 minutes, with the two teams combining for 34 points in a back-and-forth fourth. Prescott's touchdown throw was a strike to Terrance Williams in the front right corner of the end zone, as Williams did a great job dotting his toes inside the boundary. Sam Bradford completed 31-of-37 passes for 224 yards, zero touchdowns and an interception in the Vikings' 16-13, Week 12 loss to the Lions.

Advice: Like a slap hitter playing for infield singles, Bradford didn't pretend to challenge the Lions down the field. Playing behind a nonexistent offensive line — and "aided" by a typically nonexistent running game — Bradford was tasked with getting the ball out as quick as possible. It kept the chains moving between the 20s, but produced only one touchdown drive. Playing mistake free football for 59 minutes, Bradford then uncorked an awful, game-losing interception to Darius Slay, who ran Adam Thielen's route for him. Jared Goff believes he will be allowed to push the ball downfield more this week against the Saints.

Advice: Goff attempted just five passes of more than 10 yards in his first NFL start, and the majority of those came with the Rams trailing very late in the game. • Teams scheming to take away Alex Smith's legs
Chiefs co-OC Brad Childress said teams have schemed to take away Alex Smith's rushing ability this season.

Advice: "I think they’ve done a nice job of closing up some of those rush lanes," Childress said. "In a couple of cases there’s been somebody standing on the other side accounting for him … we haven’t seen as many of those giant creases." After rushing for 498 yards last season, Smith is on pace for just 90 this year. The lack of rushing has put a damper on his already minimal fantasy upside, but he has rushed for more than 10 yards the last two games and scored a touchdown last week. The upward trend could continue this week in Denver against a Broncos defense which has given up the fifth-most rushing yards to quarterbacks this season, but Smith is still not worth using in any format.
