Week 6

  • 142 pts, 5-1
  • Weekly Grade
  • Okusacks
  • 129 pts, 3-3
  • Weekly Grade

Fantasy football owners will accept any point margin to keep a win streak alive, but if you are able to win in a commanding fashion, it makes the streak all the more sweet. That is what Go Ducks!!!!!!!!!! accomplished this week when they put up the second-highest score this week, and won their third win in a row, defeating Okusacks 142 to 129. They've moved from fourth place to take the top spot since the beginning of the streak in Week 4. They're doing it by scoring a lot of points and they own the highest overall point total in the league, averaging 131.50 points per matchup. Adding insult to injury, Okusacks got zero points from the Los Angeles Rams Defense. Okusacks goes to 3-3 and slides to sixth place. Go Ducks!!!!!!!!!! has recently blown through APE (155 to 67) and Asian Lives Matter (157 to 94).

Smooth Moves by Go Ducks!!!!!!!!!!

  • Even if you cried trying to win, you still won. And the Toyota Hall of Fame is proud of Go Ducks!!!!!!!!!! either way.
  • Not quite the best, but pretty darn good. Lamar Miller had the fourth-highest RB score of the week and the sixth-highest RB score in the league this season with 33 points.
  • Not quite the best, but pretty darn effective. Ezekiel Elliott had the fifth-highest RB score of the week and the 10th-highest RB score in the league this season with 31 points.
  • A good team always has a good general and Tom Brady proved that this week. He had the third-highest QB score in the league this week with 30 points.
  • Look, there in the sky. Is it a bird? Is it a plane? No, it's just Amari Cooper posterizing opponents. He had the seventh-highest score of any WR in the league this week with 17 points.

Toyota Roster Tune-up

  • 142 seems a lot higher when you're on the losing side of it. And the Toyota Hall of Fame knows you know that.
  • Did not start Rishard Matthews, who beat his scoring projection with 13 points against a projected 5.72.
  • Okusacks would have welcomed more points at WR, where Go Ducks!!!!!!!!!! topped them 22 - 8.
  • You've gotta hit rock button before you can start to rise. It was a season-low 4 points for Larry Fitzgerald this week. It was also a season-low for his performance versus projections, reaching only 34.8% of a projected point total of 11.48.
  • It's times like these when it's important to support your players when they're down. So move the mouse pointer away from the DROP button. Michael Crabtree scored a season-low 1 point, 13.5% of his projected 7.41, which is his lowest percentage of the year.

What If

  • Go Ducks!!!!!!!!!! would be 5-1 if they played Okusacks every week.
  • Besides Okusacks, Go Ducks!!!!!!!!!! would have defeated seven other teams this week.
  • Were they resting their players for this week? Go Ducks!!!!!!!!!! would have defeated Okusacks 157 - 103 had they played each other last week.
  • Go Ducks!!!!!!!!!! would be 5-0 if they played the same schedule as Okusacks.
  • Go Ducks!!!!!!!!!! would be 43-11 if they played every team every week.
  • In addition to Go Ducks!!!!!!!!!!, Okusacks would have lost to just one other team this week.
  • If they played the same schedule as Go Ducks!!!!!!!!!!, Okusacks would be 2-3.
  • Okusacks would be 26-28 if they played every team every week.

Game Notes

  • Three of the five wins for Go Ducks!!!!!!!!!! this season have come despite their opponent scoring a season-high that week.
  • The manager of Okusacks was probably the person who destroyed the curve on every test in school. They scored 129 points against a projected 91.69 and beat their scoring projection for the fifth time this season, including the last four weeks in a row.
  • Okusacks scored 129 points and lost. It is the highest losing score in the league this season.
  • With the win, Go Ducks!!!!!!!!!! has a three-game win streak, currently the longest in the league.
  • The margin of victory for the matchup ended up being the smallest in the league this week at 13 points.
  • The 47 points by the RBs on Okusacks was the season-high for combined points from the position.
  • Okusacks saw their three-game win streak come to an end.
  • Just because Robert Horry has seven NBA championship rings, doesn't mean he's one of the greats. Despite being on the winning team, Jeremy Maclin scored 4 points against a projected 10.84 and has now underachieved in four straight games.

Fantasy MasterpiecesWeek 6

LaDainian Tomlinson SD - RB 2005 vs. Oakland 179 yards from scrimmage, 1 TD rush, 1 TD reception, 1 TD pass In his Week 6 contest against the Raiders in ’05, Tomlinson became just the seventh player in NFL history to throw for a TD, run for a TD and catch a TD pass in the same game.

And, while his effort stands as a great testament to LT’s all-around skills, it goes down as just the eighth-best fantasy performance by a running back since the AFL-NFL merger. In fact, Tomlinson managed to one-up himself in Week 6 in each of the following two seasons, rolling up 135 total yards and four scores against San Francisco in ’06, and 214 total yards and four touchdowns against Oakland (again) in ’07 – which stands as the top Week 6 RB fantasy performance.
Each week of the season we will bring you the top fantasy football performances of the past 10+ years for that week.
