  • Report: Julio playing through 3 foot injuries
FOX's Jay Glazer reports Julio Jones is playing through three separate foot injuries in Sunday's NFC Championship Game.

Advice: Per Glazer, Jones has two ligament issues in his toe in addition to a "mid-foot" ailment. Glazer says Jones is playing though a "lot" of pain. Jones caught two passes on Atlanta's opening drive, so the injuries haven't been an issue on the field yet. Rotoworld.com Today, 12:18 pm

Falcons declared RB Terron Ward, WR Nick Williams, CB Blidi Wreh-Wilson, S Dashon Goldson, LB Josh Keyes, OL Wes Schweitzer, and TE DJ Tialavea inactive for the NFC Championship Game against the Packers.

Jordy Nelson (ribs, illness) is active for Sunday's NFC Championship Game against the Falcons.

Advice: So are Davante Adams (ankle), Geronimo Allison (hamstring), Morgan Burnett (thigh) and Quinten Rollins (neck, concussion). Nelson missed Friday's practice with the flu but was limited at the Packers' other two sessions this week. He plans to play with a Kevlar vest to protect his broken ribs. Christine Michael (back) is active for the NFC Championship Game against the Falcons.

Advice: Michael was added to the injury report with a back issue on Saturday, but he finished off his pre-game warm-up with a backflip, indicating he is just fine. Michael played limited snaps and did not touch the ball last week, however, so betting on him in DFS is a risky proposition. • Nelson, Adams, Allison all active for NFCCG
Jordy Nelson (ribs) is active for the NFC Championship Game against the Falcons.

Advice: As are Davante Adams (ankle) and Geronimo Allison (hamstring). Despite being active, Nelson's ability to play a full complement of snaps is in serious question despite a Kevlar vest which he hopes will protect his broken ribs. Nelson is a dart throw at best in DFS, but he is a high-upside one. Rotoworld.com Today, 10:37 am

Geronimo Allison (hamstring) is active for the NFC Championship Game against the Falcons.

Advice: Allison will suit up despite sitting out the entire week of practice. With both Jordy Nelson (ribs) and Davante Adams (ankle) also active, Allison's role is unclear, but it would not be surprising if either Nelson or Adams (or both) were not able to finish the game. • Martellus likely to undergo offseason surgery
NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports Martellus Bennett will likely undergo offseason ankle surgery.

Advice: Rapoport revealed that Bennett has a cracked bone in his ankle and also has bone chips that will need to be cleaned out. It's pretty evident that Bennett has been playing at well less than 100 percent this season, but he still has yet to miss a game. Bennett was listed as questionable this week after briefly exiting with a knee issue during the Divisional Round, but should play his usual snaps in Sunday's AFC title game versus Pittsburgh. Daily Slant: Hobbled up over the past four games, Bennett averaged 2.0 receptions and 22.75 yards. Now that New England has a fully healthy arsenal of receivers, there may not be enough passes to go around for him to be productive, especially in his condition. His ability to score could potentially save his fantasy day, he scored three times in the final four games of the season, and it seems like he’ll need one to be valuable. Rotoworld.com Today, 9:27 am

  • Falcons expected to explore extension for Ryan
NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports the Falcons are expected to "explore" a contract extension with Matt Ryan this offseason.

Advice: After this season, Ryan will have two years remaining on his five-year, $103.75 million contract. Rapoport expects Ryan's agent Tom Condon to capitalize on his career-best season with the goal of making Ryan the league's highest-paid quarterback, a title currently held by Andrew Luck. Ryan's current annual salary is 11th-highest among NFL signal-callers. Ryan carries a $23.75 million cap hit for next season and an extension could help to reduce that number. Advice: He was a DNP at practice this week but will give it a go in Sunday's do-or-die game at the Georgia Dome. Allison played the Falcons in his NFL debut, catching two-of-four targets for 21 yards and a touchdown back in Week 8. Playing at much less than 100 percent, Allison will be a tough sell as a DFS dart throw this week. Rotoworld.com Today, 7:21 am

Davante Adams (ankle, questionable) is expected to play in Sunday's NFC Championship Game against the Falcons.

Advice: The Packers' receiving corps is pretty banged up but it looks like they'll have all their heavy hitters on hand for Sunday's NFC title game. That includes Adams, who went for 74 yards on 12 catches against Atlanta when he faced them in Week 8. It's fair to wonder how effective Adams will be after missing all three practices this week. Palmer's last words to Arians before the offseason were "I'll let you know soon." Larry Fitzgerald has also been noncommittal about returning and it's possible that if one goes, the other will too. • Jordy (ribs) expected to play with Kevlar vest
Jordy Nelson (ribs, illness, questionable) is expected to play with a Kevlar vest in Sunday's NFC Championship Game against the Falcons.

Advice: Nelson practiced twice this week but wasn't cleared for any contact. Under normal circumstances Nelson would likely have been ruled out, but instead he'll wear a protective vest made from Kevlar. Tony Romo wore a similar vest when he played through broken ribs a few years ago. Nelson is putting it all on the line for Sunday's NFC Championship tilt but it's unclear how effective he'll be or if the Packers plan on using him as a decoy. • Amendola or Floyd likely to be a healthy scratch
ESPN Patriots reporter Mike Reiss expects either Danny Amendola or Michael Floyd to be a healthy scratch for Sunday's AFC Championship Game against the Steelers.

Advice: The Patriots listed Amendola as questionable with an ankle injury but he's healthy enough to play. The question is whether he'll be active with Chris Hogan (thigh) and Malcolm Mitchell (knee) both expected to suit up. There have been rumblings that Floyd has been practicing with the special teams unit following an abysmal performance in last week's win over Houston. • Nelson, Adams, Allison will be available Sunday
According to the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel, Jordy Nelson (ribs, illness, questionable), Davante Adams (ankle, questionable) and Geronimo Allison (hamstring) will all be available for Sunday's NFC Championship Game against the Falcons.

Advice: Morgan Burnett is also expected to play after exiting last week's game with a thigh injury. Out of those four, only Burnett and Nelson were able to practice this week. Coach Mike McCarthy has acknowledged that if this were a regular season game, the receiving trio of Adams, Allison and Nelson would all be out this week. Jordy and company deserve credit for gutting it out at much less than 100 percent, but it's anyone's guess how long each player will last or how effective they'll be. • Hogan, Bennett, Mitchell all expected to play
ESPN's Adam Schefter reports Chris Hogan (thigh, questionable), Martellus Bennett (knee, questionable) and Malcolm Mitchell (knee, questionable) are all expected to play in Sunday's AFC Championship Game against the Steelers.

Advice: Danny Amendola (ankle) wasn't mentioned, but he should be out there as well. With the exception of Rob Gronkowski (back surgery, I.R.) it looks like Tom Brady will have his full complement of weapons on Sunday. With Mitchell returning from a two-game absence, Michael Floyd could end up being a healthy scratch for the AFC title game. Daily Slant: Hogan and Mitchell are solid tournament options. Both have big play ability and we’re projecting low ownership for each receiver. Prior to injuring his thigh last week, Hogan had four catches for 95 yards. Mitchell earned Brady’s trust during a four-week span this season when he had at least four receptions and 40 yards in each game and added four total touchdowns. Our model gives a slight edge to Mitchell. Rotoworld.com Today, 5:11 am

  • Christine Michael added to injury report
Packers added Christine Michael to the injury report as questionable with a back injury.

Advice: The timing suggests he suffered the injury late in the week. Michael did not touch the ball in limited snaps last week against Dallas, but his absence would still be a blow to an already banged-up offense. Ty Montgomery should dominate the backfield touches against the Falcons. Daily Slant: Montgomery had three total touches in the red zone and scored two touchdowns inside the 3-yard line against Dallas, which is an encouraging sign that he’ll continue to get the RB work in scoring position. TyMont has also become increasingly involved in the passing game - he caught six of seven targets for 34 yards last week - and Atlanta struggles to defend receiving RBs. They've allowed the most receptions (6.59), 2nd-most receiving yards (52.76), and 2nd-most receiving touchdowns (0.35) per game to the position. Montgomery is in a great spot, especially for full PPR scoring. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 10:33 am

Pro Football Talk believes Falcons director of football operations Nick Polk could be a candidate for the 49ers' vacant general manager position.

Advice: After both Eliot Wolf and Brian Gutekunst decided to stay with the Packers, the 49ers have to look further down their list. Vikings assistant GM George Paton would seem to be the favorite, but it makes sense for San Francisco to find someone presumptive coach Kyle Shanahan is comfortable working with. • GM 'definitely' wants to re-sign Jack Doyle
Colts GM Ryan Grigson said he "definitely" wants to re-sign impending free agent TE Jack Doyle.

Advice: This, of course, assumes Grigson will still be the general manager, but it looks like he is safe at this point. Doyle had a breakout 2016, hauling in 59 passes for 584 yards and five touchdowns. All three numbers eclipsed his career totals entering the year. Doyle is not the type of dynamic receiving threat which commands big dollars on the open market, but he should be looking for more than the three-year, $13-million deal Brent Celek landed last January. Advice: He was limited at practice, just as he is most weeks. Bennett tweaked his knee late in Saturday's win over Houston but should play his usual snaps in Sunday's AFC Championship. He had a very quiet game against Pittsburgh earlier this year, hauling in just one-of-two targets for five yards in Week 7. • Julio 'limited' Friday, but will play vs Pack
Updating a previous item, the Falcons listed Julio Jones (toe) as "limited" in Friday's practice.

Advice: Julio was listed as DNP on Wednesday and Thursday. Early-Friday reports had him returning to a full practice, but Julio was officially limited. Either way, Julio is going to play against the Packers. While his health remains a lingering question mark, Julio's mere presence on the field -- even if for some reason he isn't heavily targeted -- is a massive boon to Atlanta's offense. Daily Slant: Jones is expected to be followed by Ladarius Gunter, who allowed Dez Bryant a 6/85/2 line in his coverage last weekend. However, his use as a scorer limits his ceiling. Atlanta has an arsenal of playmakers and as a result, Jones has scored seven touchdowns this year. That's a 17% share of his team’s receiving scores whereas Antonio Brown’s 14 is a 40% share. In addition to Jones’ injury, this could be a useful tiebreaker when deciding between the two, especially in cash games. Rotoworld.com Friday, 12:42 pm

Advice: Coach Dan Quinn said he looked good and won't have any limitations in Sunday's NFC Championship Game versus Green Bay. That's good to hear after Jones played just 58.3 percent of the team's offensive snaps in last week's win over Seattle. Jones had a tough time when he faced the Packers in Week 8, securing just 3-of-5 targets for 29 yards in the Falcons' one-point victory. He's yet to practice, and will be held out on Friday, as well. If Adams suits up against the Falcons, he'll almost certainly be on a snap count. • Ladarius Green downgraded to 'DNP' Thursday
Ladarius Green (concussion, illness) was downgraded to "DNP" on Thursday.

Advice: It's the worst possible news after Green got in a "limited" session on Wednesday, though the flu is apparently going through the Steelers' locker room. Either way, with his latest head injury continuing to linger, Green is unlikely to suit up for the AFC Championship Game, leaving Jesse James as the Steelers' No. 1 "seam stretcher." The Steelers' offense has been operating at an extremely high level, but lacks viable weapons behind Le'Veon Bell and Antonio Brown.Daily Slant: If he's ultimately unable to suit up, Jesse James would start at tight end and be a viable option in GPPs given the lack of quality choices at the position. Still, our ownership projections don't display a large gap between James and Jared Cook - about 38% for Cook vs. 20% James - meaning there's not a huge advantage to be gained from a game theory perspective by pivoting to the lesser TE. Advice: Neither Adams nor Allison practiced on Thursday, and aren't expected to do so until Saturday's walk-through. McCarthy's comments indicated all three players will play, but none of them are anywhere close to 100 percent. Advice: A high ankle sprain was at least partially to blame for Adams' disappointing sophomore campaign, from which he rebounded to rank second in the NFL in touchdown catches (12) this season behind only teammate Jordy Nelson (14). Per the Journal-Sentinel, Adams "is going to have to prove he can be an effective player in order to be cleared" for the NFC Championship Game. The Packers have ruled out Adams from this week's practices. He needs to practice on Saturday and look competent doing it in order to get the Week 20 green light. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 6:06 pm

  • Jordy worked 'slowly' into Packers practice
Jordy Nelson (broken ribs) admitted he worked "slowly" back into Wednesday's practice.

Advice: Officially, he was listed as "limited." Either way, it was a step in the right direction. "I just caught some balls, tried to slowly work back in to it and feel things out," Nelson described. Nelson admitted he is entering unknown territory in his "hopeful" quest to play against the Falcons. "I've never played receiver with broken ribs," said Jordy. "We'll find out, hopefully. ... It's one of those things that you'll figure out when you get there. If it happens, we'll see how it goes." Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 5:58 pm

  • Jordy Nelson listed as limited Wednesday
Jordy Nelson (ribs) was limited in Wednesday's practice.

Advice: It's a step in the right direction after Nelson worked with the rehab group all last week. Nelson is still looking on the doubtful side for the NFC Championship. Davante Adams and Geronimo Allison are also up in the air. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 3:32 pm

  • Geronimo Allison dealing with hamstring issue
Geronimo Allison (hamstring) didn't practice Wednesday.

  • Martellus Bennett (knee) limited in practice
Martellus Bennett (knee) was limited at Wednesday's practice.

Advice: Bennett went down late in the Patriots' Divisional Round win but was able to return. He likely won't get in much practice this week. Bennett has already said he'll be for Sunday's game. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 1:22 pm

  • Ladarius Green upgraded to limited Wednesday
Ladarius Green (concussion) practiced on a limited basis Wednesday.

Advice: It's an upgrade for Green after he missed practice all last week following a setback the previous week. Green remains in the protocol, but this at least gives him a shot to play Sunday. Consider him no better than 50-50. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 12:58 pm

  • Davante Adams (ankle) also DNP on Wednesday
Davante Adams (ankle) did not practice Wednesday.

Advice: "I'm curious to see him move," coach Mike McCarthy said. "I don't think he'll practice until Saturday." Adams hurt his ankle late in the Divisional Round win over the Cowboys and had to be helped to the sideline before returning. With Jordy Nelson (ribs) also sidelined, losing Adams would be a huge blow to Green Bay. If both sit, Randall Cobb, Geronimo Allison, Jeff Janis, Jared Cook, and Richard Rodgers would make up Aaron Rodgers' pass-game arsenal. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 11:49 am

  • Jordy Nelson still working with rehab group
Jordy Nelson (ribs) continued to work with the rehab group at Wednesday's practice.

Advice: Nelson has been labeled as a "bit of a long shot" to play in Sunday's NFC Championship game against the Falcons. Nelson worked with the rehab group last week before sitting out against the Cowboys. Jared Cook had a big day in Nelson's absence. Consider Nelson doubtful to play at this point. • Ladarius Green not expected to play vs. Pats
The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette's Ed Bouchette doesn't expect Ladarius Green (concussion) to play Sunday against the Patriots.

Advice: Bouchette is one of the most respected reporters of the last several decades and usually has a great read on all things involving the Steelers, which he sometimes divulges in a weekly fan Q & A. Asked about Green in this week's chat, Bouchette replied, "I don't think you will see him this Sunday. Not on the playing field anyway." Bouchette later said he doesn't expect Green to play at all this year. Coach Mike Tomlin confirmed Tuesday that Green has yet to pass through concussion protocol. Look for Jesse James to start at tight end in Foxboro. Rotoworld.com Tuesday, 5:31 pm

Speaking Tuesday, Chris Hogan (thigh) said he was "feeling good."

Advice: Hogan departed Saturday's Divisional Round smackdown of the Texans. "Feeling good, just had a little minor setback in the game," Hogan said. "But I’m working back every single day and feeling better every day." Hogan will undoubtedly have his practice reps rationed, but he should be out there for the AFC Championship Game. • Tomlin: Ladarius Green still in protocol
Steelers coach Mike Tomlin said Ladarius Green remains in the concussion protocol.

Advice: Green did not seem particularly close to playing in the Divisional Round, but Tomlin did say he has a chance. He will need to get in some practice reps early in the week to have any shot at returning. The Steelers could certainly use Green as they head to New England.Daily Slant: It's looking very much like we won't see Green again this postseason. His history with concussions was concerning before this season, and things haven't improved at all in his first year with the Steelers. Green was acting as the next-in-command to Antonio Brown among the receiving corps, and his presence would theoretically make it tougher for the Patriots to heavily attack Brown with double coverage. Jesse James would draw another start and while he's a good bet to play the large majority of the snaps, his volume is still concerning. You can do worse on a two-game slate if you're looking to punt the TE spot, however. Rotoworld.com Tuesday, 9:17 am

  • Julio Jones will be 'ready to rock' for NFCCG
Coach Dan Quinn said Julio Jones (toe) will be "ready to rock" for the NFC Championship game against the Packers.

Advice: Quinn did say Jones' reps will be managed this week. Jones re-injured his sprained toe in the Divisional Round win over the Seahawks, playing a season-low 58.3 percent of the snaps. But the Falcons have expressed zero concern about Jones' availability for next Sunday. Expect him to be limited in practice this week before playing next weekend. Rotoworld.com Jan 16, 9:14 am

  • Davante goes for 76 yards in win over Cowboys
Davante Adams supplied five catches for 76 yard on 10 targets Sunday in the Packers' Divisional Round win over the Cowboys.

Advice: Adams nearly scored a touchdown in the second quarter but was forced out at the one-yard line. He rolled his left ankle after a 16-yard catch in the fourth quarter but returned after getting taped up. Adams matched up with Brandon Carr and played him to a draw. The talented third-year wideout has been heavily involved with Jordy Nelson hurt the last two weeks, snagging 13-of-22 targets for 201 yards and one touchdown in that span. Adams will draw the Falcons in next week’s NFC Championship game. Rotoworld.com Jan 15, 6:35 pm

  • Allison held to three catches in win over Dallas
Geronimo Allison provided three catches for 46 yards on five targets Sunday in the Packers' Divisional Round win over the Cowboys.

Advice: Allison had a big role early in the game as the Packers jumped out to a 21-3 lead in the second quarter but wasn’t targeted after halftime. The undrafted rookie has done enough to stay in the Packers’ rotation but could see his snap count significantly reduced if Jordy Nelson (broken ribs) returns to the lineup next week. • Julio Jones played just 42 snaps on Saturday
Julio Jones played just 42-of-72 offensive snaps in Saturday's Divisional Round win over the Seahawks.

Advice: He was on the field for 58.3 percent of the team's snaps, his lowest percentage of the season. Jones re-injured his toe on Saturday but still managed six catches for 67 yards and a touchdown. It's a testament to Matt Ryan and the Falcons' explosive offense that they were still able to handily defeat an experienced Seattle team with their best receiver sidelined for nearly half the game. Julio won't be 100 percent, but he'll be ready to roll in next week's NFC Championship game against either the Cowboys or Packers. Rotoworld.com Jan 15, 6:47 am

  • Martellus Bennett not worried about leg injury
Martellus Bennett (leg) said he'll be fine for next week's AFC Championship Game.

Advice: Bennett suffered a leg injury late in Saturday's Divisional Round win over Houston but only missed a handful of snaps. "I've been fighting through [expletive] the whole year. I'm not going to stop now," said Bennett. "I'm getting too close to what my goal is in life." Bennett has been hampered by ankle and shoulder issues throughout the year but has yet to miss a game. • Martellus Bennett held to 4 yards Saturday
Martellus Bennett caught 1-of-4 targets for four yards in the Patriots' Divisional Round win over the Texans.

Advice: Bennett suffered a knee injury in the fourth quarter, but jogged off and eventually came back in. Bennett just looks slow on the field at this stage of the season and hasn’t given the Patriots much in the passing game lately beyond a few red-zone scores. Bennett appeared to beat Texans ILB Bernardrick McKinney for a deep third-quarter reception, but the pass bounced out of Bennett’s hands on the way down. He should see two to five targets in the AFC Championship Game. Rotoworld.com Jan 14, 9:15 pm

  • Amendola gains 15 yards vs. Texans
Danny Amendola missed his two targets and rushed once for 15 yards in the Patriots' Divisional Round win over the Texans.

Advice: Amendola played only in four-receiver sets and wasn’t visible on special teams as Dion Lewis returned kickoffs and Julian Edelman continued to handle punts. Amendola’s highlight play was a fourth-quarter double reverse that gained 15. Amendola will remain game-day insurance behind the Patriots' featured receivers in the Conference Championship round. • Falcons say 'no concern' over Julio's injury
Coach Dan Quinn said the Falcons have "no concern" about the foot injury Julio Jones suffered in the fourth quarter of Saturday's win.

Advice: Quinn said Jones "could have come back if needed." The Falcons made quick work of the Seahawks and didn't need to push it with their fragile star receiver. Julio's feet and toes are constant sources of concern, but he should be in no danger of missing next week's NFC Championship Game. Rotoworld.com Jan 14, 5:20 pm

  • Ryan plays at MVP level as Falcons advance
Matt Ryan completed 26-of-37 passes for 338 yards and three touchdowns in the Falcons' 36-20, Divisional Round win over the Seahawks.

Advice: Ryan simply shredded the Seahawks, playing at an MVP level from the Falcons' methodical opening drive. Ryan completed passes to eight difference receivers, making Atlanta's passing attack essentially indefensible behind a rock-solid offensive line. Ryan will have a solid matchup in either the Cowboys or Packers in the NFC Championship Game. Rotoworld.com Jan 14, 4:52 pm

  • Julio Jones aggravates foot/toe ailment
Julio Jones aggravated his foot/toe injury in the fourth quarter of Atlanta's Divisional Round win over the Seahawks.

Advice: Jones pulled up gimpy earlier in the second half, but stayed in the game. He was then absent as Atlanta worked to kill the clock. He caught six passes for 67 yards and a touchdown before going down, winning matchups with Richard Sherman. FOX's Pam Oliver deemed Jones' departure precautionary, but it's a huge storyline to watch ahead of next Sunday's NFC Championship Game.
