• Tyler Conklin draws only three targets vs. Niners
Tyler Conklin caught 2-of-3 targets for 25 yards in the Vikings' Week 12 loss to the 49ers.

Advice: All three of Conklin's targets came on the same fourth quarter drive. The missed connection was a third down look in the end zone. Conklin did convert a 3rd-and-9 with a rugged 17-yard grab. He fumbled two plays later, but Minnesota recovered. With Dalvin Cook (shoulder) staring at a potentially lengthy absence, Conklin's TE2 targets floor should remain stable. Detroit is on tap for Week 13.  NBCSportsEDGE.com 59 minutes ago

  • George Kittle held to one catch in win over MIN
George Kittle caught 1-of-2 targets for 13 yards in the 49ers' Week 12 win over the Vikings.

Advice: The 49ers' run-heavy ways finally caught up to Kittle in fantasy, as he commanded just two of Jimmy Garoppolo's 26 pass attempts. That is still an unacceptably low target share, a mistake we would not expect to be repeated going forward. Week 13 opponent Seattle entered Week 12 surrendering the ninth most tight end fantasy points. Fantasy managers should still consider Kittle a top-five option for that matchup.   NBCSportsEDGE.com Today, 5:11 pm

  • Noah Fant catches three passes in Week 12 win
Noah Fant caught 3-of-4 targets for 12 yards in the Broncos' Week 12 win over the Chargers.

Advice: The four targets tied Javonte Williams for the team lead, but Fant's yards were sixth on the Broncos on a day they threw for just 155 yards. No. 3 TE Eric Saubert vultured a one-yard score in the second half. Fant has a shot at a ceiling game next week against the Chiefs, but there are so many capable pass-catchers in this offense, and OC Pat Shurmur doesn't like to throw the ball. Jared Cook caught 2-of-5 targets for 25 yards and one touchdown in the Chargers' Week 12 loss to the Broncos.

Advice: Cook out-targeted Donald Parham 5-1 in this one and snagged a jump-ball 16-yard touchdown in the fourth quarter. It was Cook's third touchdown of the season and first since Week 6. He'll be a higher-end TE2 next week against the Bengals. NBCSportsEDGE.com Today, 4:44 pm

Geoff Swaim caught an eight-yard pass in the Titans' Week 12 loss to the Patriots.

  • Jonnu Smith goes 3/49 vs. former team
Jonnu Smith caught 3-of-4 targets for 49 yards in the Patriots' Week 12 win over the Titans, adding a nine-yard rush.

Advice: Patriots coach Bill Belichick told the CBS booth during the week that he wanted to get Smith an early touch vs. his former team, and he obliged with a first quarter sweep. The 49 receiving yards were actually Smith's second most of the season, which tells you all you need to know about how his fantasy campaign has been going. • Dan Arnold ends the day with one catch
Dan Arnold (knee) caught his only target for nine yards before exiting the Jaguars' Week 12 loss to the Falcons with a knee injury.

Advice: Arnold went down in the second quarter and was unable to return. He suffered the injury while being tackled during his only cath. James O'Shaughnessy ran a route on 82 percent of his team's passing plays with Arnold off the field for most of the day. He caught three passes for 29 yards. O'Shaughnessy has some deep TE2 potential if Arnold is sidelined in Week 13 but fantasy managers can probably find better options off the wire. • Hunter Henry overshot on potential TD vs. Titans
Hunter Henry caught 2-of-5 targets for 16 scoreless yards in the Patriots' Week 12 win over the Titans.

Advice: Live by the touchdown, die by the touchdown, but in Henry's defense, he was wide open for a 26-yard score in the second quarter. Mac Jones simply missed him, cratering Henry's box score and leaving fantasy managers with close to zero points. Frustrating, but Henry will continue to be prioritized the closer the Pats get to the end zone. He will be a touchdown-based TE2 for Week 13 vs. Buffalo.  NBCSportsEDGE.com Today, 3:26 pm

C.J. Uzomah caught all three of his targets for nine yards in the Bengals' Week 12 win against the Steelers.

Advice: Uzomah has has 42 receiving yards over his past three games. He's little more than a desperation streaming option in deeper formats. Next week, he plays a Chargers team that's allowed the most (9) tight end touchdowns in 2021.  NBCSportsEDGE.com Today, 3:10 pm

  • Pitts' slump continues versus Jags with 2-26 line
Kyle Pitts caught 2-of-6 targets for 26 yards in the Falcons' Week 12 win over the Falcons.

Advice: The Jaguars' defensive game plan appeared to revolve around stopping Pitts and they accomplished that despite losing. Matt Ryan was even intercepted while trying to force a pass to Pitts in the first half. With Calvin Ridley away from the team, this approach has been the go-to for opposing defenses. Expect it to continue for the foreseeable future with no update on Ridley from himself of the team. Pitts plays an immense role for a tight end but every team he faces knows that, making it difficult for him to get open on any play. He remains a TE1 going forward but his floor is undoubtedly lower with no Atlanta player beyond Cordarrelle Patterson drawing the respect of defenses. NBCSportsEDGE.com Today, 3:03 pm

Chris Myarick caught 2-of-2 targets for 11 yards and one touchdown in the Giants' Week 12 win over the Eagles.

Advice: Myarick got some additional opportunities against the Eagles with Kyle Rudolph out with injury. Myarick remains off the fantasy radar, despite scoring a touchdown on his first career catch in Week 12. • Evan Engram goes 3/37 on 6 targets against Eagles
Evan Engram caught 3-of-6 targets for 37 yards in the Giants' Week 12 win over the Eagles.

Advice: Engram's most notable play of the day was a flea flicker screen pass to the tight end, which he took for 20 yards. His second most notable play was when he nearly caused an interception by letting a ball bounce off his hands, but the Eagles' defender was out of bounds. • Brevin Jordan hits as a TD-or-bust TE yet again
Brevin Jordan caught 3-of-3 targets for 23 yards and a touchdown in Houston's Week 12 loss to the Jets.

Advice: Jordan caught a checkdown on third-and-goal and rumbled past a Jets defender that had slipped on the turf to get in the end zone for the second time since being active in Week 8. Pharaoh Brown had the only other target amongst Texans tight ends. It's not pretty out there, but Jordan will belong on the TD-or-bust TE2 line against the Colts in Week 13.  NBCSportsEDGE.com Today, 2:39 pm

  • Gronk, clearly healthy, totals season-high 123 yds
Rob Gronkowski caught 7-of-10 targets for 123 yards in Tampa Bay's Week 12 win over the Colts.

Advice: Gronk's 123 yards were not only a season-high mark but the most he's recorded since coming out of retirement to reunite with Tom Brady last year. The two had no issues carving up DC Matt Eberflus' zone scheme over the middle of the field, recording long gains of 26 and 15 yards for Gronkowski along the way. He was also targeted at the goal line in the fourth quarter but was hit hard while trying to corral the ball. Ryan Griffin caught 3-of-4 targets for 20 yards in New York's Week 12 win over the Texans.

Advice: He remains the unquestioned starter, and the incompletion was a bounced pass in the end zone where Griffin was open but Zach Wilson threw late, denying the #revengegame score to the former Texan. Griffin will remain on the TE radar of deeper leagues and consistently draws 3-4 targets without Tyler Kroft, but the rest of the situation makes him a tough fantasy fit.  NBCSportsEDGE.com Today, 2:01 pm

Advice: Swaim is one of the few Titans actually healthy enough to play this week after missing Week 11. With the Titans positively desperate for reliable places to funnel looks, Swaim could actually see a decent amount of targets, but not enough to make him a compelling TE2. Advice: Henry got in limited practices every day this week. Jonnu Smith is also listed as questionable but Rapsheet didn't give an update on him. Advice: Gronkowski caught six passes and played 59% of snaps in his return to the lineup last week. The Bucs should continue to rely on him over the middle of the field with Antonio Brown (ankle) out, giving him a high target floor against the Colts. The Athletic's Greg Auman said the Bucs are "optimistic" Rob Gronkowski (back) will make a "healthy return" Monday night against the Giants.

Advice: Gronkowski was held out of Saturday's practice after full sessions on Thursday and Friday. The Bucs seem intent on managing their aging tight end's myriad injuries after rushing him back from a rib injury in October. Gronk has 16 receptions in his three full 2021 games, including two touchdowns. Tom Brady clearly misses his prime red zone target and would see his fantasy prospects rise with Gronk's return. O.J. Howard and Cameron Brate can be dropped to waivers if Gronkowski is indeed back. Advice: Swaim had caught four passes in three straight games, so it is a minor blow in TE-premium leagues, especially with a pillow-soft matchup in the Texans on deck. Bolden, meanwhile, will fall back more toward special teamer with Damien Harris (concussion) returning ahead of Rhamondre Stevenson. Inactive for the Patriots are QB Jarrett Stidham, TE Devin Asiasi, RB J.J. Taylor, OLB Ronnie Perkins and OT Yasir Durant. NBCSportsEDGE.com Thursday, 4:09 pm

  • Rob Gronkowski (back) practices in full Thursday
Rob Gronkowski (back) was a full participant in Thursday's practice.

Advice: For the first time since Week 3, it appears that Gronkowski will re-join the fantasy landscape. With Antonio Brown still a DNP and the Giants not an especially notable TE-stopping defense, Gronkowski should absolutely be on the TE1 radar this week. Tampa's beat writers have been a little less optimistic on what they've seen from Gronkowski than this injury designation appears, but the volume potential can't be denied.  NBCSportsEDGE.com Thursday, 12:57 pm
