  • Schefter: Eagles haven't made final call on Hurts
ESPN's Adam Schefter reports the Eagles "want to see how [Jalen] Hurts is feeling on game day before making any final decisions about the QB’s status."

Advice: Schefter conceded Hurts "very well" could miss the team's Week 13 game against the Jets with a sprained ankle, as veteran Eagles reporter Derrick Gun reported Saturday evening. Keep in mind that Gunn literally works for the team. Fantasy managers should consider Hurts a long shot to suit up. With Minshew under center, expect the team to lean on Miles Sanders and Boston Scott, who is questionable with a non-COVID illness. The Eagles have a bye in Week 14.  NBCSportsEDGE.com Today, 4:04 pm

  • Eagles: Scott (illness) game-time call vs. Jets
Eagles team reporter Derrick Gunn reports Boston Scott (non-COVID illness) will be a game-time decision against the Jets.

Advice: Scott finally returned to practice on Friday, likely putting him on the right side of questionable. His health has taken on much greater importance with Jalen Hurts (ankle) reportedly poised to sit. With Jordan Howard (knee) already ruled out, Scott will be in line for another 12-15 — and perhaps beyond — touches against the sorry Jets. If Scott can't go, Philly will have no choice to shovel what could be 20-plus touches Miles Sanders' way. The game kicks off at 1PM ET, so we will thankfully know Scott's status when setting morning lineups.  NBCSportsEDGE.com Today, 3:49 pm

  • Gunn: Jalen Hurts (ankle) out for Week 13
Eagles reporter Derrick Gunn reports Jalen Hurts (ankle) is out for Week 13 against the Jets.

Advice: Gunn also reports Boston Scott (illness) will be a game-time decision. Gunn is literally employed by the team, so you can say he's a solid source. By all accounts, Hurts got in a decent week of practice, but it's not surprising the Eagles are declining to push it against the pathetic Jets, especially with their bye on tap for Week 14. Not that Philly will simply march to victory with Gardner Minshew. It's a massive fantasy downgrade in the quarterback department, but check-down king Minshew should actually boost Devonta Smith and Dallas Goedert's target floors. They can be fired up with confidence. We would assume Hurts will be back for Week 15 vs. the Football Team.    NBCSportsEDGE.com Today, 3:42 pm

  • RB Qadree Ollison promoted to active roster
Falcons activated RB Qadree Ollison to the active roster for Week 13.

Advice: In the Falcons' ongoing quest to never put the ball in Mike Davis' hands, Ollison is likely to take 1B duties behind Cordarrelle Patterson in Week 13 against Tampa. Head coach Arthur Smith said in late November that Ollison -- who missed last week's game against Jacksonville -- had "earned more carries." • Trey Sermon (ankle) lands on injured reserve
49ers placed Trey Sermon (ankle) on injured reserve.

Advice: Sermon's disastrous rookie campaign takes another bleak turn. Sermon was carted off the field last week against the Niners with what appeared to be a serious ankle injury. Probably we won't see him again in 2021, as Elijah Mitchell serves as the team's workhorse and Jeff Wilson functions as the No. 2 back. Sermon is a long shot to be fantasy relevant in 2022.  NBCSportsEDGE.com Today, 1:45 pm

  • Schefter: Ben done in Pittsburgh after 2021
ESPN's Adam Schefter reports Ben Roethlisberger "privately has told former teammates and some within the organization that he expects this to be his final season playing quarterback for the Steelers."

Advice: The rapidly declining Roethlisberger was never likely to play another season for the Steelers after he took a pay cut to come back for one more run at a championship this year. Schefter's reporting insinuates Roethlisberger might not retire but seek to continue his NFL career with another (quarterback-needy) franchise. With zero mobility and fledgling arm strength at 39 years old, Roethlisberger would do well to call it a career, even if the Steelers make the postseason. His last home game could be January 3 against the Browns. Roethlisberger's heir apparent likely isn't on the Steelers roster today.  NBCSportsEDGE.com Today, 1:21 pm

  • Melvin Gordon (hip) ruled out for Week 13 vs. KC
Melvin Gordon (hip) was ruled out for Week 13.

Advice: Javonte Williams drafters are partying in the streets with the rookie set to handle a full workload for the first time. The rookie should be treated as a borderline RB1 against Kansas City. He shouldn't be game script sensitive if he absorbs most or all of Gordon's pass-catching role (both Denver backs have a 9 percent target share on the year). A date with the Chiefs is hardly the best spot for Williams, as KC's defense has allowed the 11th lowest expected points added against the rush since Week 8. Williams, one of the league's preeminent RB big play threats, should see an elite workload though.  NBCSportsEDGE.com Today, 1:09 pm

SNY's Jeane Coakley reports the Jets cut K Matt Ammendola.

Advice: The Ammendola era in New York ends after six misses on 19 field goal attempts through Week 12. He made only five of his nine kicks of more than 40 yards this season. Alex Kessman will start for the Jets Sunday against the Eagles. He's not a fantasy option.  NBCSportsEDGE.com Today, 1:08 pm

  • DeVante Parker activated from injured reserve
Dolphins activated DeVante Parker (hamstring) off injured reserve.

Advice: Parker hasn't played since Week 8, when he caught eight of 11 targets for 85 scoreless yards against the Bills. The oft-injured Parker is always an in-game injury risk but should be a fine WR4 option this week against the Giants. • Darren Waller (knee) declared out for Week 13
Darren Waller (knee) is out for Week 13 against the Football Team.

Advice: Waller was never going to suit up against Washington after suffering a knee injury on Thanksgiving against Dallas. Waller could very well miss Week 14 too. Foster Moreau, a capable tight end who caught six passes for 60 yards in a touchdown in his Week 7 start against the Eagles, is a top-12 option against Washington. Advice: Nwangwu, an outstanding return man who was expected to see some run with Dalvin Cook (shoulder) sidelined, is now questionable for Week 13 against the Lions. Fullback C.J. ESPN's Jeremey Fowler reports Curtis Samuel (groin) will play in Week 13 against the Raiders.

Advice: In his first action following an extended absence, Samuel in Week 12 caught his lone target for nine yards on six pass routes against the Seahawks. He ran four of those six routes from the slot. In a run-heavy Washington offense, Samuel can't be trusted yet as a fantasy option.  NBCSportsEDGE.com Today, 11:20 am

The Athletic's Dan Duggan said John Ross (quad) is expected to play in Week 13.

Advice: One would think Ross would see more involvement in the Giants offense with Sterling Shepard and Kadarius Toney listed as doubtful to play the Dolphins this week, but one would be wrong. Ross ran just six pass routes and caught both of his targets for 28 yards last week with Toney and Shepard sidelined. He's not a fantasy option this week.  NBCSportsEDGE.com Today, 11:17 am

Washington promoted RB Wendell Smallwood from the practice squad.

Advice: With J.D. McKissic sidelined, Smallwood is expected to see pass-game reps over Jaret Patterson. Antonio Gibson should still run the majority of routes in this backfield and could push for an 80% snap share against the Raiders. Gibson saw a season-high usage as a pass catcher with McKissic going down last week, catching all seven of his targets for 35 yards in a win over Seattle. Advice: Peterson is expected to play Sunday despite being in Seattle for less than a week. It's unclear how much of a role he'll have with Alex Collins (core), Rashaad Penny (hamstring), and Travis Homer (calf) all questionable. Peterson plodded his way to 82 yards (3.0 YPC) and a touchdown in three games with the Titans before getting waived last month. Advice: Boyle, who missed the second half of 2020 with a knee injury and opened the year on IR, made his debut in Week 11. • Carroll: Realistic Peterson could play this week
Seahawks coach Pete Carroll said it is realistic Adrian Peterson could play this week against the 49ers.

Advice: Peterson played just a few days after signing with the Titans earlier this season, so it is not out of the realm of possibilities he is able to suit up. Working against him, however, is a backfield that looks suddenly healthy. Alex Collins (abdomen), Rashaad Penny (hamstring), and Travis Homer (calf) are all officially questionable but look likely to play. Advice: All aboard the Javonte Williams hype train. A highly efficient player on limited touches so far as a rookie, Williams is now going to get full starter's touches in a matchup against a poor run defense. He is a must-start option this week. Advice: Scott didn't practice on either Thursday or Friday and is truly unclear for Philadelphia's elite matchup against the Jets. With Miles Sanders removed from the injury report altogether and Jordan Howard (knee) officially ruled out, the Eagles may have no choice but to lean on Sanders heavily as an opportunity-based RB2. Advice: Vic Fangio said Gordon is "50-50" to play on Sunday night but those odds seem lower after Gordon failed to practice at any point throughout the week. Javonte Williams, totaling 17 touches for 111 yards and a touchdown in Week 12, is an all-too-obvious RB1 if/when Gordon is eventually ruled out. Advice: Samuel was limited throughout the week and is expected to play. How much his reps increase remains to be seen after he logged 20 snaps (24%) in his first game action since Week 5. Speaking Friday, Ron Rivera indicated that RB Wendell Smallwood would play ahead of Jaret Patterson in the J.D. McKissic role.

Advice: Rivera indicated that Smallwood would have the McKissic role, "to a degree." Smallwood is a journeyman, who is unlikely to be able to work into a large role quickly, but he does create risk of a three-man backfield this week. Advice: Giants head coach Joe Judge said Jones has not been cleared for contact by the team's medical staff. This comes after Judge and offensive coordinator Freddie Kitchens expressed optimism Jones would practice this week and suit up against Miami. Mike Glennon will take over for Jones, making the Dolphins the week's premiere defensive option in fantasy leagues. Glennon in Week completed 64 percent of his passes against the Cowboys after Jones exited with a brain injury. Glennon threw two picks and a touchdown against Dallas. Advice: Hurts has already said that he intends to play on Sunday, but it's clear that the ankle will be a limiting factor in some ways and it opens up a wider range of outcomes around the Eagles offense against the Jets. Advice: Claypool is playing through a painful turf toe injury that had him sit out in Week 10, so this is a great sign for that injury trending in the right direction as he runs up against a Ravens defense that has not exactly impressed this year. • Curtis Samuel (groin) limited on Thursday again
Curtis Samuel (groin) was limited in Thursday's practice.

Advice: It will be news when Samuel is practicing without limits after a groin injury and aggravation that has kept him on the report for the entirety of the season. He did finally get on the field last week on a pitch count. He'll be tough to trust down the stretch or as Washington's No. 2 receiver until we see him field a full complement of routes in a game, but once he does he might be an interesting stretch run play.  NBCSportsEDGE.com Thursday, 10:25 am

  • Boston Scott (illness) does not practice Thursday
Boston Scott (non-COVID illness) did not practice Thursday.

Advice: That makes two missed practices in a row for Scott, who has a delicious matchup against a Jets defense that has only conclusively proven it can stop the Texans in 12 weeks to date. Two straight missed practices isn't great, but illness is a less concerning diagnosis than an actual injury. Friday will speak more to Scott's status for Sunday.  NBCSportsEDGE.com Thursday, 10:16 am

  • Fangio: Melvin Gordon (hip) 50-50 for Chiefs game
Speaking Thursday, Broncos coach Vic Fangio said that Melvin Gordon (hip/shoulder) would not practice today and will be "50-50" to play against the Chiefs.

Advice: Gordon has been a gamer this year and is playing quite well, but this is not great news for his Week 13 fantasy prospects. We suspect he'll be on the optimistic side of questionable if he practices on Friday, and if he plays he'll probably remain in the RB2/RB3 tier against a Chiefs defense without a lot of recent historical success against the run.  NBCSportsEDGE.com Thursday, 10:07 am

Daniel Jones (neck) was limited for Thursday's practice.

Advice: Coach Joe Judge also said Jones' status "is in the hands of the doctors now," going down to the wire as a game-time decision "if need be". • Freddie Kitchens believes Daniel Jones will start
Giants OC Freddie Kitchens said he is "expecting" Daniel Jones (neck) to "be the the New York Giants' quarterback" for Week 13 against the Dolphins.

Advice: Whether it's Mike Glennon or Jones, the latter currently battling a week-to-week neck issue, is a moot point since Miami's defense has been at full strength and terrorizing for a month now. New York's injury report will eventually reveal who managers can start among the team's receivers, though all are a tough sell in this particular matchup. NBCSportsEDGE.com Thursday, 7:59 am

  • Claypool (toe) limited Wednesday
Chase Claypool (toe) was limited in Wednesday's practice.

Advice: Claypool was limited last week but ended up being removed from the injury report before going 3-82 on eight targets against the Bengals with the Steelers chasing points all afternoon. Claypool is an upside WR2/3 for Week 13 against the Ravens. NBCSportsEDGE.com Wednesday, 3:34 pm

  • Curtis Samuel (groin) limited practice Wednesday
Curtis Samuel (groin) was limited in Wednesday's practice.

Advice: Samuel opens his second consecutive week with a limited practice. Given his health issues throughout the year, that's a good sign. Samuel was limited to 20 snaps and one target last week but his usage should slowly be scaled up as the year comes to a close. Samuel remains off the fantasy radar for now but the Football Team hasn't found consistent WR2 production from anyone this year. If Samuel can stay healthy, he will be the team's best bet to fill that role. His usage in Week 13 versus the Raiders will be worth watching. NBCSportsEDGE.com Wednesday, 2:32 pm

  • Seahawks signing Adrian Peterson to practice squad
Seahawks signed Adrian Peterson to their practice squad.

Advice: Peterson visited with Seattle earlier today and things obviously went well as Pete Carroll announced his signing a few hours later. Peterson will join the team's practice squad and be called up in short order. He was elevated to the Titans' active roster during the same week that he signed with the team. Peterson rushed 27 times for 82 yards with the Titans and was waived after three games. He will likely turn the Seattle backfield into a committee, making both him and Alex Collins easy fades in all fantasy formats.   NBCSportsEDGE.com Wednesday, 2:15 pm

  • Devin Duvernay (thigh) DNP on Wednesday
Devin Duvernay (thigh) did not practice Wednesday.

Advice: Duvernay played through a knee issue last week and saw 43 percent of Baltimore's offensive snaps. He drew Sammy Watkins to a standstill in snaps as the Ravens' WR3. Still, he was targeted twice. Duvernay remains off the fantasy radar unless something happens to one of the receivers ahead of him on the depth chart or he pulls away from Watkins.  NBCSportsEDGE.com Wednesday, 1:38 pm

  • Vikings will 'find some ways to use' Kene Nwangwu
Vikings coach Mike Zimmer said the team will "find some ways to use" RB Kene Nwangwu.

Advice: Nwangwu has two carries in five active games this season, but he has shown a lot of juice on kick returns. With Dalvin Cook (shoulder) out, Minnesota should look to get him more involved on offense. That said, Alexander Mattison should function as the clear lead back, making it unlikely Nwangwu returns consistent fantasy value.  NBCSportsEDGE.com Wednesday, 12:10 pm

Waller avoided a major injury but he still looks likely to miss Week 13. Foster Moreau played every offensive snap in his one start earlier this year and should be expected to earn the same role this week. • Rapoport: Adrian Peterson visiting Seattle today
NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports free agent RB Adrian Peterson is visiting Seattle today.

Advice: Peterson played three games for the Titans before the team waived him last week. He ran 27 times at a sluggish three yards per carry. Chris Carson is done for the year while Rashaad Penny and Travis Homer were both inactive last week because of injuries. That left Alex Collins, DeeJay Dallas, and practice squad call-up Josh Johnson on the active roster. Collins has looked like the standard backup this year, running at just under four yards per carry and topping 100 yards once in six starts. A Peterson signing would remove all fantasy value from the backfield, assuming the two split Seattle's carries.  NBCSportsEDGE.com Wednesday, 11:32 am

Advice: Gordon has been listed with an injury in nearly every practice report Denver has issued this year and has never missed time. The veteran runner turned 17 carries into 83 yards last week. Advice: With Parker's return to practice, the Dolphins have opened his window to return from injured reserve. They now have 21 days to add him to the active roster. • Hurts (ankle) taking walkthrough reps on Wednesday
Jalen Hurts (ankle) took reps in Wednesday's walkthrough.

Advice: After practice, Hurts told reporters, "I'll be ready to go." Hurts and the Eagles get the Jets in Week 13. Although the ankle issue will certainly limit his mobility, the Jets are 31st in yards per pass attempt allowed. Even if Hurts can't beat New York with his legs, he should be able to take advantage of their secondary. If he makes it through the week of practice with a clean bill of health, he'd slot in as a low-end QB1. Gardner Minshew would be a mid-QB2 option if Philly ultimately rests Hurts for the week. Advice: Ollison was expected to see a larger role in Week 12 but ended up being unavailable against the Jaguars due to an illness. He looks to be on track for Week 13, and it's possible he sees a larger role against the Buccaneers. Even if Ollison plays he will be a dart throw RB2. • Jones will practice, NYG 'not ruling anything out'
Daniel Jones (neck) will practice on Wednesday and is not yet ruled out for Week 13 against the Dolphins.

Advice: Speaking Wednesday, Joe Judge told reporters that he expects Jones to practice all week. He went on to say that he does not believe Jones' neck injury will be season ending. The Giants signed Jake Fromm, so there is clearly concern that Jones will not be available for Sunday. At the same time, if Jones can get in a full week of practice, it remains possible that he ultimately starts against the Dolphins. Jones is facing a difficult matchup against a blitz-heavy Miami defense if he goes. It still seems most likely that Mike Glennon will be under center in Week 13. NBCSportsEDGE.com Wednesday, 7:55 am

  • Daniel Jones (neck) likely out for Week 13 vs. MIA
NFL Network's Tom Pelissero reports suffered a strained neck in Sunday's win over the Eagles and is unlikely to start Week 13 against the Dolphins.

Advice: Ouch. This explains why the Giants poached Jake Fromm from the Bills' practice squad earlier Tuesday. Jones' injury occurred on the second play from scrimmage in Week 12 when he was hit on a slide. He finished the game on Sunday but should be considered week to week while he recovers. Mike Glennon is now poised to start against the Dolphins' resurgent defense with Fromm serving as the backup. Needless to say, it's a disastrous situation for the G-Men's injury-ravaged skill corps. • Curtis Samuel catches one pass in return to lineup
Curtis Samuel caught his lone target for nine yards in Washington's Week 12 win over the Seahawks.

Advice: Seeing his first action since Week 5 thanks to multiple groin issues, Samuel was eased back into action. He did lay a key block on a J.D. McKissic touchdown. Assuming Samuel avoids setbacks, look for his role to grow over the final six weeks of the season and vault to No. 2 receiver duties at some point. Logan Thomas (hamstring) is also active after being removed from I.R. earlier in the day. Raiders coach Rich Bisaccia said Darren Waller (knee) is considered week-to-week.

Advice: Waller suffered a strained IT band in the Raiders' Thanksgiving loss to the Cowboys. Foster Moreau looks likely to draw his second start of the year in Week 13. Las Vegas takes on a struggling Washington defense, teeing Moreau up for a TE1 outing. He played on 100 percent of the Raiders' snaps and posted a 6/60/1 line in his previous start. • Jalen Hurts nursing sore ankle after Week 12 loss
Eagles coach Nick Sirianni said Jalen Hurts is nursing a sore ankle but he is "hopeful" Hurts will play in Week 13 against the Jets.

Advice: Sirianni noted that they will have more information on Hurts' status on Wednesday. Hurts finished the game on Sunday but posted one of his worst outings of the year, passing for just 129 yards while tossing the interceptions. The Eagles get their bye in Week 14 so it's possible that Hurts is given this week off to ensure his healthy to close out the season. Gardner Minshew would draw the start in his place. NFL Network's Mike Garafolo reports Curtis Samuel is expected to play in Week 13 against the Seahawks.

Advice: Samuel will play on a pitch count in his first game back from re-injuring his groin, per Washington head coach Ron Rivera. He missed the first three games of the year because of the injury. After returning, he played 32 snaps across two games before going down once again. • Melvin Gordon handles 17 carries against Chargers
Melvin Gordon rushed 17 times for 83 yards in the Broncos' Week 12 win over the Chargers.

Advice: Despite losing a critical lost fumble last time out against the Eagles, Gordon kept his role as the Broncos' 1A to Javonte Williams' 1B status. Gordon held the carries edge 17-14, but Williams got the goal-line look in the second quarter with a nine-yard score, and had 54 yards on the ground with 3-57 as a receiver. Whatever the Broncos are doing in their backfield, it's working, so we don't expect it to change. • 40-yard TD saves Brandin Cooks' fantasy day
Brandin Cooks caught 3-of-5 targets for 45 yards and a touchdown in Houston's Week 12 loss to the Jets.

Advice: Almost all of the yardage was a result of a beautiful 40-yard pitch-and-catch with Tyrod Taylor that put the Texans up 14-3. It was all downhill from there, as the Texans struggled to get Cooks involved in a deeper way and saw their underneath options with him get quickly snuffed out. The touchdown saved his fantasy day, but this is very much not trending in a direction where Cooks is trusted beyond a FLEX role against the Colts in Week 13.  NBCSportsEDGE.com Sunday, 2:30 pm

  • Claypool: 82 yards in uneven performance vs. CIN
Chase Claypool caught 3-of-8 targets for 82 yards in the Steelers' Week 12 loss to the Bengals.

Advice: Claypool had a bad miscommunication with Ben Roethlisberger in the first quarter that led to an interception and dropped a ball on third down before the game got out of hand. Functioning as the Steelers' lone downfield threat, Claypool hauled in two deep shots -- one for 41 yards -- against the Bengals while Diontae Johnson vacuumed up most of the underneath looks. Claypool is a fine weekly WR3 option with as much upside as any receiver outside the top-20 in a Pittsburgh offense that will usually be pass heavy. Daniel Jones completed 19-of-30 attempts for 202 yards, one touchdown and zero interceptions in the Giants' 13-7, Week 12 win over the Eagles.

Advice: Jones was an effective game-manager, taking care of the ball in a low-scoring win. He did nearly throw an interception in the 2nd quarter, but the Eagles defender was out of bounds. But that throw had bounced off of Evan Engram's hands and the interception wouldn't have been completely on Jones. Jones also had a few nice rushes, including a successful QB sneak on fourth down. • Ben overwhelmed by Bengals defense in Week 12 loss
Ben Roethlisberger completed 24-of-41 attempts for 263 yards, one touchdown, and two interceptions in the Steelers' Week 12 loss to the Bengals.

Advice: Roethlisberger saved his statistical day -- and that of his pass catchers -- with a fourth quarter drive while down 38 points to Cincy. He seemed to be out of sync with Chase Claypool throughout the game, resulting in a first quarter interception on a pass to the sideline while Claypool streaked downfield. Roethlisberger's weak throwing arm wreaked havoc at the end of the first half when he tried a late throw to the boundary that was picked off for a touchdown, essentially ending the game in the second quarter. Roethlisberger was sacked thrice and pressured on nearly every drop back. • Zach Wilson game-manages first win over Texans
Zach Wilson completed 14-of-24 passes for 141 yards and an interception in the Jets 21-14 Week 12 win over the Texans, adding a rushing touchdown.

Advice: Wilson's pick will be in the discussion for Sad Quarterback Interception of the Year as he flung a pass at Ty Johnson's back only to watch it deflect into Tavierre Thomas' hands. 46 of Wilson's passing yards came on one curl route to Braxton Berrios, and he missed several open receivers. To make matters worse, Wilson came up limping on a near-sack early in the fourth quarter and it was the same leg his PCL strain was on. Advice: Although it's encouraging he's been a limited participant for back-to-back sessions, Samuel's outlook for Monday is bleak given that it will/could be his first game action since he re-aggravated his injury in Week 5. Managers can continue ignoring him on waiver wires even if he's available. NBCSportsEDGE.com Friday, 11:06 am

  • Poor o-line costing Brandin Cooks downfield looks?
The Athletic's Aaron Reiss said the Texans' porous offensive line has led to fewer deep targets for Brandin Cooks.

Advice: Reiss pointed out that Houston's offensive line is ranked 30th in ESPN's pass block win rate, which measures how often an offensive line holds its blocking for at least 2.5 seconds. The lack of time for Houston quarterbacks has flattened Cooks' fantasy production of late. A top-10 fantasy receiver for the season's first month, Cooks is now the WR22, with just one touchdown since Week 2. While he continues to dominate Houston targets and air yards, constant pressure on Tyrod Taylor could continue limiting Cooks' downfield opportunities. Eleventh in targets of more than 20 yards on the season, Cooks has seen five downfield looks over his past four outings. He's a low-end WR2 in Week 12 against the Jets.  NBCSportsEDGE.com Friday, 8:35 am

  • Darren Waller to undergo MRI on injured knee
NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports Darren Waller will undergo an MRI on his injured knee.

Advice: Waller exited the Raiders' Week 12 win against the Cowboys and didn't return after tweaking his knee on a 20-yard catch and run. Waller's absence would be a major blow to the Vegas passing offense, and would open up starter's snaps and routes for Foster Moreau. Moreau, who caught six balls for 60 yards and a touchdown in Week 7 when Waller was sidelined with an ankle injury, would be a priority waiver add if Waller misses a game or two -- or more.  NBCSportsEDGE.com Friday, 6:58 am

  • Darren Waller (knee) ruled out for rest of game
Darren Waller (knee) won't return for Week 12 against the Raiders.

Advice: Waller suffered a bone bruise in his left knee after coming down hard on it following a 20-yard grab in the first half. He returned from the locker room in street clothes, signaling an early end to his day. His participation in practice ahead of Week 13 will be crucial to monitor. NBCSportsEDGE.com Thursday, 3:36 pm

  • Waller (knee) questionable to return Thursday
Darren Waller (knee) is questionable to return for Week 12 against the Cowboys.

Advice: Waller struggled to stand up after having his leg rolled up on following a 20-yard catch. Foster Moreau and Daniel Helm will take his spot inline in the interim. NBCSportsEDGE.com Thursday, 2:42 pm

  • Marquise Goodwin held catch-less before foot issue
Bears WR Marquise Goodwin was held without a catch in Chicago's Week 12 win over the Lions before departing with a foot injury.

Advice: Coming off a 100-yard day, Goodwin wasn't drawing looks before suffering the lower-body injury. Those have long been an issue for the literal Olympian. Return Goodwin to the waiver wire if you took a flier after last Sunday.  NBCSportsEDGE.com Thursday, 1:51 pm

  • Cole Kmet draws career-high 11 targets
Cole Kmet caught 8-of-11 targets for 65 yards in the Bears' Week 12 win over the Lions.

Advice: The 11 targets were a new career high for Kmet just four days after he stink bombed with 1/12 on two looks. It resumes the upward trajectory the second-year pro had been on before last week's disappointment against the Ravens. Kmet still can't be trusted as a TE1, but he is firmly established as a targets-based TE2. The Cardinals are on deck for Week 13.  NBCSportsEDGE.com Thursday, 1:34 pm

  • Curtis Samuel gets in 'limited' practice Thursday
Curtis Samuel (groin) was "limited" on Thursday.

Advice: Samuel supposedly signed with the Football Team in free agency, but his Pro Football Reference page logs only five targets all year. Washington could badly use Samuel's Swiss-Army playmaking out of the backfield/at wideout, but we would not take his status for granted until we actually see him get in a full session. Samuel is not on the Week 12 fantasy radar.  NBCSportsEDGE.com Thursday, 11:15 am

  • Claypool playing through 'bad' case of turf toe
Chase Claypool confirmed he is playing through a "bad" case of turf toe.

Advice: Claypool was tackled with his toe flexed in Week 9. He missed Week 10 but has since resumed practicing in full, and caught five passes for 93 yards in Week 11. He will be a big-play based WR3 for Week 12 vs. Cincinnati's struggling defense.  NBCSportsEDGE.com Thursday, 11:11 am

  • Marquise Goodwin (shoulder) questionable for W12
Marquise Goodwin (shoulder) is questionable for Week 12 against the Lions.

Advice: Goodwin got in three full practices this week so it would be more than surprising for him to not play, despite being listed as questionable. He took on a larger role with Allen Robinson sidelined last week. The veteran speedster picked up eight targets and topped 100 yards for the first time since 2018. He is a solid DFS consideration for the three-game, Thanksgiving slate.  NBCSportsEDGE.com Wednesday, 11:05 am

  • Smith: Qadree Ollison has 'earned' more carries
Falcons coach Arthur Smith said Qadree Ollison has "earned the right for more carries."

Advice: Ollison surprisingly took over the Atlanta backfield last Thursday, seeing the same number of snaps as Mike Davis and out-carrying him 9-to-3. This statement suggests that changing of the guard could become permanent. That said, Cordarrelle Patterson appears on track to return this week, and the role behind him has not been exciting for fantasy purposes all season. Even so, Ollison is a priority add this week.  NBCSportsEDGE.com Wednesday, 8:57 am

  • DeVante Parker (hamstring/IR) not ready to return
Speaking to reporters Wednesday, Dolphins coach Brian Flores said that DeVante Parker (hamstring/IR) is not yet ready to return.

Advice: It's been 19 days since Parker was placed on IR and while he's eligible to return, the team has yet to provide a timeline or even a vague general notion of what a return would look like. Parker's hamstring injury was a common injury designation for most of the season before a setback during the leadup to Week 9. With Miami out of the playoff race, there shouldn't be much of a rush to bring Parker back.  NBCSportsEDGE.com Wednesday, 7:53 am
