Smooth Moves by Mr. Football

  • If this were a dream sequence, you'd hear a deep voice announce, "Mr. Football, the Toyota Hall of Famer." But it's not.
  • DeMarco Murray put the team on his back with 20.70 points, the 10th-highest score among RBs in the league this week.
  • Look, there in the sky. Is it a bird? Is it a plane? No, it's just Travis Benjamin posterizing opponents. He had the eighth-highest score of any WR in the league this week with 20.70 points.
  • What do Apache helicopters, F-117 Nighthawks and Odell Beckham Jr. have in common? They are all dangerous aerial weapons. He ranked ninth in the league in scoring among WRs this week with 16.60 points.
  • Gary Barnidge scored 12.60 points against a projected 9.32 and has now overachieved in three straight games.

Toyota Roster Tune-up

  • 113.90 seems a lot higher when you're on the losing side of it. And the Toyota Hall of Fame knows you know that.
  • At the QB position, The P-Whips got outscored 15.30 - 5.64 by Mr. Football.
  • Who needs offense when the defense is so dominant!? The P-Whips got outscored 10.00 - 4.00 by Mr. Football at the DEF position.
  • The 5.64 points scored by Ryan Tannehill was a season-low for both scoring and for his performance against projections. He reached only 25.3% of his 22.33 projected points this week.
  • Gotta hit rock button before you can start to rise. It was a season-low 5.90 points for Steve Smith Sr. this week. It was also a season-low for his performance versus projections, reaching only 40.2% of a projected point total of 14.67.

What If

  • If Mr. Football played The P-Whips every week, they'd be 2-3 this season.
  • Mr. Football would have beaten four other teams besides The P-Whips this week.
  • Mr. Football would be 1-3 if they played the same schedule as The P-Whips.
  • If Mr. Football had played every team in the league each week, they would be 22-33.
  • The P-Whips would have lost to six other teams besides Mr. Football this week.
  • Timing really is everything. Mr. Football would have lost to The P-Whips 135.48 - 105.62 had they played each other last week.
  • If they played the same schedule as Mr. Football, The P-Whips would be 1-3.
  • The P-Whips would be 27-28 if they played every team every week.
