  • Jermaine Kearse leads Seahawks in targets
Jermaine Kearse 5-of-9 targets for 68 yards in Week 13 against the Panthers.

Advice: Kearse led Seattle in receiving and saw as many targets as Jimmy Graham. His usage continues to be all over the place this year. Even with a plus matchup against the Packers, Kearse isn't worth streaming in Week 14. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 9:34 pm

Ted Ginn caught 5-of-6 targets for 80 yards and a touchdown in Week 13 against Seattle.

Advice: Ginn got behind the secondary for a 55-yard touchdown at the end of the first half. He didn't have any touchdowns until Week 11, but has now scored in his last three games. Ginn is on a hot streak with at least 40 yards in seven straight games. He's a boom-or-bust WR4 for Week 14. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 9:27 pm

  • Tyler Lockett totals 138 yards, TD in win
Tyler Lockett caught 5-of-6 passes for 63 yards and scored on a 75-yard run in Week 13 against the Panthers.

Advice: It's a nice rebound after Lockett was held without a catch on six targets last week. Lockett had multiple chunk plays, ripping off a 40-yard screen in addition to his 75-yard run. He was still the No. 4 option behind Jimmy Graham, Doug Baldwin, and Jermaine Kearse. Lockett is an upside WR4 against the Packers in Week 14. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 9:20 pm

Doug Baldwin caught seven passes for 65 yards in Week 13 against the Panthers.

Advice: Baldwin finished behind Jimmy Graham and Jermaine Kearse in targets. He killed the Panthers on third down and had a couple nice runs after the catch. Advice: Benjamin led the Panthers in targets, but couldn't get on the same page with Cam Newton. He was overthrown on two end-zone shot and didn't look fully healthy after landing on his shoulder in the third quarter. • Cecil Shorts has severe knee injury
The Bucs fear WR Cecil Shorts tore "all" the ligaments in his right knee and dislocated it on Sunday's Week 13 injury.

Advice: The injury occurred on a monster hit by head-hunting Chargers S Jahleel Addae in the first half of Sunday's game. Shorts is certainly done for the season. The question now becomes whether he'll ever play in the NFL again. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 5:37 pm

  • Odell Beckham draws 16 targets in Week 13
Odell Beckham nabbed 10-of-16 targets for 100 yards Sunday in the Giants' Week 13 loss to the Steelers.

Advice: Somehow Beckham was targeted just once in the first half. He made up for it by drawing 15 targets after halftime, but his lack of involvement in the early portion of the game was puzzling to say the least. Beckham salvaged the day with a big fourth quarter, producing 47 yards on five catches over the final 15 minutes. OBJ now has over 1,000 yards receiving, making him the fourth player in NFL history to reach that mark in each of his first three seasons. Beckham will be a no-brainer WR1 against Dallas in Week 14. Advice: Goodwin entered this one with a minor wrist issue, but he ended up leading all Bills receivers in snaps with Robert Woods (knee) and Percy Harvin (illness) out. • Watkins goes 3-38 on nine targets in defeat
Sammy Watkins caught 3-of-9 targets for 38 yards in the Bills' Week 13 loss to the Raiders.

Advice: After playing just 25-of-55 snaps in his Week 12 return, Watkins was in on 49-of-72 snaps in this one. He's obviously still not 100 percent coming off a broken foot, but the Bills need Watkins to be out there with Robert Woods (knee) and Percy Harvin (illness) out. Watkins' nine targets were a team-high, but he wasn't able to make much happen against Oakland's physical cornerbacks. Watkins will be an upside WR2/3 next week against the Steelers. Advice: Jones dominated early in the first quarter against the Chiefs, but he faded fast on Sunday and was in and out of the game in the fourth quarter with what appeared to be a foot or ankle issue. "It's football," Jones said. "You're going to get banged up. You're going to get little nagging injuries here and there from the game. I'm OK. I'll be good to go." Jones should be fine for Week 14. Advice: Now playing ahead of Travis Benjamin, Inman starred early in this game with both of his catches coming in the first quarter, including a 35-yard touchdown where Bucs CB Alterraun Verner fell down on the play. Mike Evans caught 3-of-6 targets for 38 yards in the Bucs' Week 13 win over the Chargers.

Advice: He did tack on a two-point conversion catch after a Cameron Brate touchdown, but Evans was shut down by Chargers CB Casey Hayward in this game. Hayward added an interception and drew an offensive pass interference flag on Evans on an end-zone target. Evans is headed for a likely bounce back in Week 14 against the Saints, but Hayward got the individual matchup win and the Bucs got the real-life victory in Sunday's 28-21 upset. Kenny Stills snared two-of-five targets for 21 yards Sunday in the Dolphins' Week 13 loss to the Ravens.

Advice: Four of his targets came after halftime with Miami in catch-up mode. As you can see by his paltry stat line, Stills wasn’t able to take advantage. He was the intended receiver on Ryan Tannehill’s third interception of the game. Stills has topped 50 yards receiving just once in his last five games and is barely a WR5 in fantasy. • Brandin Cooks totals 77 yards vs. Lions
Brandin Cooks caught 7-of-9 targets for 73 yards in the Saints' Week 13 loss to the Lions.

Advice: Cooks added a four-yard rush. Cooks was supposed to be the "squeaky wheel" after complaining about his role, but instead saw zero targets in the game's first 29 minutes. A healthy amount of his production came with the game already decided in the fourth quarter. The reality is, Cooks has been surpassed by Michael Thomas for No. 1 status in the Saints' receiver corps, and isn't as far ahead of Willie Snead as fantasy owners would like. DeAndre Hopkins caught 2-of-7 targets for 55 yards and a touchdown Week 13 against the Packers.

Advice: Hopkins ran a bad route on one of this first-half targets, but the other two were late sideline throws by Brock Osweiler that probably should have been picked off. He did record a catch early in the third quarter, but he dropped another pass that should have been a long gain, although the throw was slightly behind him. He was on his way to another terrible game, but Hopkins saved it with a 44-yard, catch-and-run touchdown in garbage time. • Randall Cobb saves fantasy day with touchdown
Randall Cobb hauled in all three of his targets for 19 yards and a touchdown Week 13 against the Texans.

Advice: Cobb was not asked to do much of anything, but he did save his fantasy owners with a nine-yard touchdown in the second quarter. Aaron Rodgers was able to escape pressure to his left on the play, and Cobb did a good job to find space in the end zone for the score. It was his fourth touchdown of the season but his first since Week 9. He also has recorded 41 yards or fewer in three of his last four games. • Julio goes 7-113, but bothered by injury late
Julio Jones caught 7-of-9 targets for 113 yards in the Falcons' Week 13 loss to the Chiefs.

Advice: Jones was dominating early, catching four passes for 52 yards on the Falcons' opening drive. That would end up the highlight. He started seeing the occasional shadow from Marcus Peters, and was in and out of the game late with a foot or ankle issue. Jones' snaps were very limited down the stretch. He also had a would-be 40-yard reception wiped out by intentional pass interference from the Chiefs. Nevertheless, the 100-yard game was his seventh of the season. • Jordan Matthews officially inactive at Cincy
Jordan Matthews (ankle) is officially inactive for Week 13 at Cincinnati.

Advice: Zach Ertz should be the Eagles' primary pass catcher in plus draw. The rest of the Eagles' inactives are RB Ryan Mathews, DE Steven Means, OL David Andrews, OL Dillon Gordon, OL H(insert spelling) Vaitai, and DT Taylor Hart. Daily Slant: It’s a great spot to fire up Dorial Green-Beckham in addition to Ertz, as he should see an uptick in production as well. Carson Wentz has very few options outside of those two. Last week, with Matthews shuffling in and out of the game, DGB caught 6-of-10 targets for 82 yards. He had a 5/54/1 line against a tough Seahawks defense a week prior. Today, he has a nice matchup against a Cincinnati defense that ranks 17th in pass DVOA, according to Football Outsiders. NFL Network's Ian Rapoport believes the Saints could explore trading Brandin Cooks this offseason.

As Rapsheet puts it, "there are only so many balls to go around." With Willie Snead still playing a major role and rookie Michael Thomas emerging as one of Drew Brees' favorite weapons, it makes sense for the Saints to see what they can get for Cooks this offseason. He tried to practice on Thursday but never felt right. Beat writer Eliot Shorr-Parks of NJ Advanced Media called him a "true 50/50 game-time decision" for Week 13, but it looks like the decision has already been made. • Brandin Cooks admits he expressed frustration
Brandin Cooks admits he expressed frustration with his role following Sunday's zero-target game.

Advice: "Closed mouths don't get fed," was Cooks' ridiculously-quotable quip. "This is a very emotional game. And every once in a while you've got to express that. And you've gotta express what you want," Cooks, not incorrectly, reasoned. We've got a classic squeaky wheel situation set up for Sunday against the Lions, though Michael Thomas is still the preferred play in fantasy.

RotoGrinders.com Daily Slant: This is a great week for GPP players to hop back aboard the Cooks train. After his zero-target outing in Week 12, the masses may be hesitant to go back to Cooks with Michael Thomas and Willie Snead either priced similarly or cheaper on most outlets. • Odell Beckham not listed on injury report
Odell Beckham (thumb) was not listed on the injury report Wednesday.

Advice: Beckham said the thumb was an issue before he aggravated it against the Browns, but he plans to play through it the rest of the season. "Not really much you could do at this point in time," Beckham said. "You have to just play with it. It happened to me in college and high school." Beckham's admission the thumb is actually injured will likely force the Giants to list him on Thursday, but there is no reason to worry about his availability. He will be a high-end WR1 against the Steelers. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 2:11 pm

Kelvin Benjamin (shoulder) is not practicing Wednesday.

Advice: Benjamin initially hurt his shoulder in the Week 12 win over the Saints. He again hurt it last Sunday against the Raiders, but was able to play through the issue to a catch a 44-yard touchdown. Benjamin should play against the Seahawks but he'll be hard to trust as anything more than a WR3. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 12:28 pm

  • Update: Watkins' foot sore, DNP Wednesday
Updating a previous item, Sammy Watkins did not practice Wednesday after feeling soreness in his foot.

Advice: Wonderful. Watkins was fully expected to be a limited participant in practice, but the Bills held him out entirely. Watkins played 45 percent of the snaps last week in his return from I.R. He was expected to see an increase in playing time in Week 13. That's difficult to see happening at this point. • Payton 'not concerned' with Cooks frustration
Coach Sean Payton said he's "not concerned" with Brandin Cooks becoming frustrated with his role on offense.

Advice: "He's been explosive this season, he's certainly a primary target for us with what we do, and I think that's evident," Payton said. Coach chalked up Cooks' zero-target Week 12 as something "a little unusual," but did note that the first play of the game was supposed to go to him. • Report: Brandin Cooks is upset with his role
ESPN's Mike Triplett reports Brandin Cooks has "growing frustration" with his role in the Saints' offense.

Advice: Triplett cites the receiver himself and "sources." Per Triplett, "this isn't a new issue." Cooks somehow wasn't targeted in Sunday's 49-21 drubbing of the Rams, and is averaging fewer weekly looks than Michael Thomas and Willie Snead. In theory, we'd like to be sympathetic to Cooks' cause, but there isn't an obvious fix. Drew Brees has three excellent receivers and is wisely spreading the ball around. That being said, it's hard not to envision the squeaky wheel getting some grease this week against the Lions.Daily Slant: This appears to be the perfect time to hop aboard the Brandin Cooks bandwagon. The Rams made a concerted effort to eliminate him Sunday, giving him the star receiver treatment despite Michael Thomas being arguably the more complete pass-catcher. Even as the Saints moved Cooks around the field, the Rams continued to throw heavy coverage at him. Rotoworld.com Tuesday, 12:24 pm

  • J-Matt (ankle) not expected to miss any time
Jordan Matthews has been diagnosed with a sprained right ankle but is expected to play against the Bengals in Week 13.

Advice: Matthews suffered the injury in the first half of Monday's loss to Green Bay. He played one series in the second half before returning to the sidelines, where he spent the remainder of the night. Matthews will surely miss practice time this week but should be able to go Sunday against Cincinnati. With Matthews hurt and Nelson Agholor benched, Dorial Green-Beckham and Bryce Treggs functioned as the Eagles' top wideouts in Week 12. Rotoworld.com Tuesday, 9:18 am

  • Jordan Matthews goes 4-47, injures ankle
Jordan Matthews (ankle) caught 4-of-4 targets for 47 yards in the Eagles' Week 12 loss to the Packers.

Advice: This is more of an update on his previous blurb, as we noted Matthews left in the second quarter with an ankle injury. He returned for the start of the second half, catching a two-yard pass before then bowing out for the rest of the game. In his absence, the Eagles used multiple tight end sets and two receivers with Dorial Green-Beckham and Bryce Treggs. Those two did virtually nothing and the offense went into the gutter with Matthews out. On a short week ahead of a Week 13 road date with the Bengals, Matthews will be up against it to be ready. • Cobb catches six balls in Week 12 victory
Randall Cobb caught 6-of-7 targets for 41 yards in the Packers' Week 12 win over the Eagles.

Advice: His seven targets were second-most on the team behind Jordy Nelson's 12, but Cobb was the least productive of the Packers' three-wide set. Nelson managed 91 yards while Davante Adams popped off for 5-113-2 on six looks. Cobb caught a ton of his balls around the line of scrimmage and was forced to make defenders miss. After averaging 12 targets per game Weeks 5-7, Cobb has averaged 5.25 over the last four. He's settling in as more of a WR3 heading into Week 13 against the Texans. Rotoworld.com Monday, 9:20 pm

Jordan Matthews exited Week 12 against the Packers with a right ankle injury.

Advice: Matthews left late in the second quarter after making a 20-yard catch to get the Eagles out from the shadow of their own goal posts. He looked like he shook it off at first, but Matthews went to the sideline of the next play and eventually limped to the locker room. Before leaving, he caught three balls for 45 yards. • Payton blames Cooks' goose egg on coverages
Saints coach Sean Payton attributed Brandin Cooks' zero-target Week 12 to the Rams' coverages.

Advice: "I think part of it's the result of some of the coverages," Payton said, unconvincingly, Monday. "There were certainly calls with his name and number on it, and periodically once in a while that can happen." Teams always scheme for Cooks. It doesn't fully explain how Drew Brees failed to look his way a single time. With Michael Thomas ascendant and Willie Snead not going away, Cooks will be a mid-range to low-end WR2 against the Lions at home in Week 13. Rotoworld.com Monday, 11:38 am

  • Sammy Watkins plays 45% of snaps Week 12
Sammy Watkins played 25-of-55 (45%) snaps Week 12 against the Jaguars.

Advice: More importantly, Watkins escaped his first game action in two months without suffering any setbacks, saying after the game he felt as healthy as he has in "a long time." Watkins might not be a full-time player this week against the Raiders, but he should play more snaps and proved he can be impactful even with limited work. He will be an upside WR2 against Oakland. Devin Funchess caught 2-of-2 targets for 19 yards in the Panthers' Week 12 loss to the Raiders.

  • Kelvin Benjamin catches 44-yard TD in loss
Kelvin Benjamin caught 2-of-5 targets for 53 yards and one touchdown in the Panthers' Week 12 loss to the Raiders.

Advice: Benjamin was held catch-less on two targets in the first half and experienced a ton of frustration on the sidelines in the second half after being taken off the field. He was seen yelling at the coaching staff and had to be consoled by WRs coach Ricky Proehl. Benjamin later answered back with a 44-yard touchdown over the top of Sean Smith in the fourth quarter. He also appeared to aggravate his left shoulder injury from Week 11. Benjamin has seen a total of nine targets the past two games. He'll be a mere WR3 next week at the Seahawks. • Ginn goes 4-115-1 on 10 targets in defeat
Ted Ginn caught 4-of-10 targets for 115 yards and one touchdown in the Panthers' Week 12 loss to the Raiders.

Advice: Ginn was targeted relentlessly on deep balls, and he and Cam Newton finally hooked up on one in the second half for an 88-yard touchdown. Ginn absolutely torched T.J. Carrie on the play. His 10 targets led the team. Ginn has now scored long touchdowns in back-to-back games, and he is averaging just over seven targets in his last six games. • Mike Evans smokes Seahawks for 8/104/2
Mike Evans caught 8-of-11 targets for 104 yards and two touchdowns Week 12 against the Seahawks.

Advice: Evans opened the game on fire, grabbing a 26-yard pass on the first series before capping that drive with a short touchdown. He found the end zone again on the next drive, beating Richard Sherman before hauling in a perfect pass from Jameis Winston down the left sideline. Evans was held to 20 yards in the second half as the Bucs reined in the offense, but he still managed to top 100 yards for the third time in four games. This performance puts him at 1,020 yards on the year, making him just the fourth receiver in NFL history to record at least 1,000 yards in each of his first three seasons. He should be able to keep it going next week against the Chargers. Evans will be a high-end WR1 in that matchup. Rotoworld.com Nov 27, 5:02 pm

Jermaine Kearse hauled in 1-of-5 targets for 18 yards Week 12 against the Bucs.

Doug Baldwin hauled in 7-of-8 targets for 34 yards Week 12 against the Bucs.

Advice: With Russell Wilson under constant pressure and struggling downfield, Baldwin's short catches were about the only thing working for the offense. His longest grab went for just 12 yards, and he was held to less than five yards on four of his catches. Baldwin did manage to draw a long defensive pass interference call early in the game, but that was his only contribution downfield. • Tyler Lockett catch-less on six targets Wk 12
Tyler Lockett did not catch any of his six targets Week 12 against the Bucs.

Advice: Lockett's only touch came on a carry early in the game, but it was not really his fault. Russell Wilson just missed him downfield on several throws including what would have been an elusive third-down conversion. Lockett was also the target on Wilson's game-ending interception. Wilson should play better moving forward, but Lockett is not getting consistent enough targets to trust in standard-sized leagues. Rotoworld.com Nov 27, 4:37 pm

Jeremy Kerley caught 2-of-4 targets for 24 yards in the 49ers' Week 12 loss to the Dolphins.

Advice: It was an improvement on Kerley's 0-of-6 Week 11. Kerley hasn't been a factor since the 49ers benched checkdown king Blaine Gabbert. That's unlikely to change down the stretch. Rotoworld.com Nov 27, 3:31 pm

  • Do you believe in miracles? Torrey scores TD
Torrey Smith caught 3-of-7 targets for 24 yards and a touchdown in the 49ers' Week 12 loss to the Dolphins.

Advice: Amazingly, Smith's third score of the year — and ninth as a 49er — was a one-yard strike from Colin Kaepernick. So much for being a deep threat. Even with Kap's play taking off in recent weeks, Smith has remained almost a complete non-factor. He'll be in the WR60-70 range for Week 13. Rotoworld.com Nov 27, 3:29 pm

Marquess Wilson caught 8-of-11 targets for 125 yards and a touchdown in Week 12 against the Titans.

Advice: Wilson was Matt Barkley's preferred option, finishing with more yards and targets than Cameron Meredith. He should have had a bigger game, but dropped two would-be touchdowns. Kenny Stills caught 3-of-6 targets for 72 yards and a touchdown in the Dolphins' Week 12 win over the 49ers.

Advice: Taking advantage of overzealous coverage from Antoine Bethea, Stills turned a third quarter dart from Ryan Tannehill into a 43-yard touchdown. Julio Jones caught 4-of-7 targets for 35 yards in the Falcons' Week 12 win over the Cardinals.

Advice: Jones was shadowed much of the day by Patrick Peterson, and Peterson won the battle for the most part, though he did take two pass-interference penalties. One was in the end zone, setting up Devonta Freeman's one-yard touchdown on the next play. Jones also had a horrible drop that popped in the air for a Matt Ryan interception. • Odell Beckham goes 6/96/2 versus Cleveland
Odell Beckham caught 6-of-11 targets for 96 yards and two touchdowns in the Giants' Week 12 win over the Browns.

Advice: Beckham was in and out of the game early with a thumb injury, but ended up having his second best day of the year. It could have been much bigger, but Eli Manning missed Beckham on a number of big early plays. Beckham roasted Joe Haden all afternoon, including on a simple crossing route he caught over the middle and turned into a 32-yard score. DeAndre Hopkins caught 5-of-10 targets for 70 yards Week 12 against the Chargers.

Advice: Hopkins was quiet in the first half, but the Texans force fed him targets coming out of the break. He had two quick catches on the first drive after halftime and ended up easily leading the team in targets. Hopkins still did not manage to post a big fantasy day and was eaten up by Casey Hayward on a couple plays, but he did top 70 yards for the first time since Week 6 and only the third time this season. • Brandin Cooks goes missing in Week 12
Brandin Cooks wasn't targeted Sunday in the Saints' Week 12 win over the Rams.

Advice: In a can’t-miss matchup against the rapidly disintegrating Rams, Cooks picked an odd week to disappear. According to Pro Football Focus, Cooks played 49-of-74 offensive snaps, which is close to his usual workload. Cooks didn’t appear to suffer any injury, which makes his lack of involvement even more inexplicable. Dontrelle Inman was cleared of a concussion after leaving late in the fourth quarter Week 12 against the Texans.

Advice: Inman was not placed in the protocol. It is a break for the Chargers, who also saw Tyrell Williams leave late with a shoulder injury. If Williams' injury turns out to be serious, Inman could end up serving as the No. 1 receiver over Travis Benjamin after exploding for 119 yards and a touchdown against the Texans. Advice: A boom-bust player on the field, Goodwin is usually a "bust" player in the box score due to his dependency on streak-route receptions in order to compile any meaningful yardage. He broke open what had been a limited passing game with a great double-move to shed Quintin Demps on a 52-yard touchdown in the second quarter. Inman stayed involved after the break, catching a perfectly thrown ball by Philip Rivers in the third quarter and converting a big third down in the fourth.
