  • Trevor Siemian (foot) doing a 'lot better'
Speaking Monday, Broncos coach Gary Kubiak said Trevor Siemian (foot) is doing a "lot better."

Advice: NBC Denver has reported there's "hope" Siemian returns against the Titans. He has shed his walking boot. The Broncos desperately need Siemian back. Paxton Lynch isn't ready for prime time, to put it mildly. Siemian's status will be updated no later than Wednesday, when the Broncos return to practice. Rotoworld.com 31 minutes ago

  • Julio Jones has turf toe, expected to be fine
Julio Jones is dealing with a case of turf toe, but is expected to be fine.

Advice: Speaking Monday, coach Dan Quinn stressed the issue wasn't believed to be serious, but allowed it will be "monitored." Turf toe can be extremely tricky. Jones barely played down the stretch of Sunday's loss to the Chiefs, and was in clear discomfort on the sideline. It's definitely not a settled issue. Jones' practice reps figure to be extremely limited this week, though as of now, we can take Quinn at his word that Jones will probably suit up for Week 14. Rotoworld.com Today, 11:40 am

  • Rex offers cryptic comments on Tyrod Taylor
Speaking about Tyrod Taylor's play following Sunday's loss, Bills coach Rex Ryan said "look, let's just let this play out."

Advice: "We feel pretty comfortable with Tyrod," Ryan said. "There's a lot of factors that go into everything." Taylor had a strong first quarter Sunday, but then melted down as the Bills blew a big lead. Taylor's play has really started to ebb in recent weeks after a more consistent middle stretch of the season. Writing about the performance on Monday, respected Bills beat writer Joe Buscaglia said "if it’s me, as of right now, I would be moving on from Taylor." The Bills will owe Taylor $27.5 million if he remains on the roster through the fourth day of the 2017 league year. Rotoworld.com Today, 11:39 am

  • 'Real chance' Griffin III starts this week
ESPN's Adam Schefter reports there's a "real chance" Robert Griffin III (shoulder, injured reserve) is the Browns' Week 14 starter.

Advice: Griffin has yet to even be formally activated off injured reserve, but most signs are pointing toward him starting against the Bengals. The lost-year Browns might as well take a four-game look — if Griffin can stay healthy that long — headed into the offseason. We'd consider the odds heavily stacked against Griffin being the team's 2017 quarterback. Rotoworld.com Today, 11:06 am

  • Victor Cruz upset about his role
Victor Cruz plans to talk to coach Ben McAdoo about his role after playing just 26-of-60 snaps in Sunday's loss.

Advice: "We'll take it from there," Cruz said. "But I'm not angry. I'm not a disgruntled employee. I'm not like, 'Screw this.' I'm a team guy first and I just want to make sure that everybody's interests are at heart." The simple truth is that, now 30 and coming off a major injury, Cruz is no longer a good player. • Cecil Shorts has career-threatening injury
Bucs WR Cecil Shorts tore his right ACL, MCL and PCL, and dislocated his knee.

Advice: It's a career-threatening injury. Going on 29 with a long and winding injury history, the odds are against Shorts ever playing another NFL snap. It's a shame for a player who had a useful peak, one that could have been much better without all the injuries. Rotoworld.com Today, 10:40 am

  • Rivera: Maybe we pushed Benjamin too hard
Panthers coach Ron Rivera said maybe the team "got ahead of ourselves" in Kelvin Benjamin's recovery from an ACL tear this offseason.

Advice: "Maybe we did get him out there too soon, too much," Rivera said. Benjamin has not been spectacular, but he has actually caught a larger percentage of his targets and averaged more yards per catch this year than his rookie season. He also is dealing with a shoulder injury which likely has nothing to do with being pushed back "too soon." The Panthers will look for answers after this lost season, but Benjamin has been fine. Saints TE Josh Hill suffered a broken fibula Week 13 against the Lions.

Advice: Hill also suffered an ankle injury, but it is not believed to be broken. It is a tough turn of events for a player who had been taking over the starting job in the last several weeks. With Hill out for the season, Coby Fleener should have steadier snap and route totals moving forward. • 'All signs point' to RG3 starting this week?
ESPN's Pat McManamon wrote "all signs point" to Robert Griffin III getting the start this week.

Advice: Hue Jackson has yet to name a starter, and McManamon's prediction comes with the important caveat of "provided he makes it through practice and looks like he has shaken off three months of rust." Still, it makes sense for the Browns to see what Griffin can do, especially considering they averaged fewer than 10 points in their last four games. Even if Griffin gets the nod, the offense around him is too poor and the chance of an in-game injury is too high to trust him in the first-round of the playoffs. Rotoworld.com Today, 8:27 am

Advice: Bibbs reportedly suffered a high-ankle sprain against the Jaguars, meaning he is going to be out at least a couple weeks. • James Starks held to seven snaps Week 13
James Starks played 7-of-58 (12%) snaps Week 13 against the Texans.

Advice: Starks opened the game with the starters, but he was benched the entire second quarter and only saw one carry after halftime. Ty Montgomery ended up playing 29 snaps and was the preferred back as the Packers tried to salt away the clock in the fourth quarter. Christine Michael was also much more involved than Starks. • Tyrod Taylor turns it over in loss to Raiders
Tyrod Taylor completed 18-of-35 passes for 191 yards, no touchdowns, and one interception in the Bills' Week 13 loss to the Raiders.

Advice: He added 30 yards rushing and one touchdown on three attempts. The touchdown run was a great read-option keeper where Khalil Mack crashed hard and didn't hold the edge, letting Taylor walk in easily. Mack later got his revenge, though, getting to Taylor to tip a pass, causing his interception deep in Buffalo territory, and then recording a strip-sack and recovering the fumble. Buffalo held a 24-9 lead at one point, but allowed 29 unanswered points to fall to 6-6. They need wins from here on out. Taylor will be a borderline QB1 next week against the Steelers. Julio Jones caught 7-of-9 targets for 113 yards in the Falcons' Week 13 loss to the Chiefs.

Advice: Jones was dominating early, catching four passes for 52 yards on the Falcons' opening drive. That would end up the highlight. He started seeing the occasional shadow from Marcus Peters, and was in and out of the game late with a foot or ankle issue. Jones' snaps were very limited down the stretch. He also had a would-be 40-yard reception wiped out by intentional pass interference from the Chiefs. Nevertheless, the 100-yard game was his seventh of the season. "I am sure he has to get the rust off a little bit, but hopefully, we will see where he is, and if they clear him for contact, then we will know more as we move forward." Averaging less than 10 points a game over the last month, the Browns might as well see what Griffin can do. Rotoworld.com Tuesday, 6:30 am

  • Starks manages 41 yards on 17 carries in win
James Starks rushed 17 times for 41 yards in the Packers' Week 12 win over the Eagles.

Advice: He caught 5-of-5 targets for 27 yards. Since coming back from his knee injury, Starks hasn't been able to do much on the ground, but he does have 13 catches in three games, providing a nice floor in PPR leagues. Even with Christine Michael active, Starks dominated running back snaps, though he was vultured by FB Aaron Ripkowski for a one-yard touchdown in the fourth quarter. It was the first rushing touchdown by a Packers running back this season. Starks has a stranglehold on things in this backfield and will be an RB2 at home against the Texans in Week 13. • Kapri Bibbs gets nine carries in Week 12
Kapri Bibbs rushed nine times for 22 yards in Week 12 against the Chiefs.

Advice: Bibbs was checked for a concussion in the first quarter, but only missed a series. He struggled to do anything with his limited carries and continued to get out-touched by Devontae Booker. Bibbs isn't more than an RB4 stash. Rotoworld.com Nov 27, 10:06 pm

  • Kapri Bibbs briefly exits Week 12
Kapri Bibbs left Week 12 against the Chiefs with a possible concussion.

Advice: Bibbs was injured on a helmet-to-helmet hit from Eric Berry in the first quarter. He was cleared to return after missing one series. Rotoworld.com Nov 27, 6:07 pm

  • Greg Olsen has tough day in Week 12 loss
Greg Olsen caught 4-of-5 targets for 45 yards in the Panthers' Week 12 loss to the Raiders.

Advice: Olsen had a really tough day. He dropped a pass on the final drive on 3rd-and-10 with the Panthers trailing by three. Cam Newton was strip-sacked on the next play to end the game. Olsen also was unable to hang onto a two-point conversion earlier in the half. Since his monster Weeks 5 and 6, Olsen has averaged 36 receiving yards per game over his last five. He's also scored just one touchdown in that span. Olsen will look to rebound next week on the road at Seattle. He's still a weekly must-start at such a shallow position. Rotoworld.com Nov 27, 5:22 pm

  • Kelvin Benjamin catches 44-yard TD in loss
Kelvin Benjamin caught 2-of-5 targets for 53 yards and one touchdown in the Panthers' Week 12 loss to the Raiders.

Advice: Benjamin was held catch-less on two targets in the first half and experienced a ton of frustration on the sidelines in the second half after being taken off the field. He was seen yelling at the coaching staff and had to be consoled by WRs coach Ricky Proehl. Benjamin later answered back with a 44-yard touchdown over the top of Sean Smith in the fourth quarter. He also appeared to aggravate his left shoulder injury from Week 11. Benjamin has seen a total of nine targets the past two games. He'll be a mere WR3 next week at the Seahawks. • Ginn goes 4-115-1 on 10 targets in defeat
Ted Ginn caught 4-of-10 targets for 115 yards and one touchdown in the Panthers' Week 12 loss to the Raiders.

Advice: Ginn was targeted relentlessly on deep balls, and he and Cam Newton finally hooked up on one in the second half for an 88-yard touchdown. Ginn absolutely torched T.J. Carrie on the play. His 10 targets led the team. Ginn has now scored long touchdowns in back-to-back games, and he is averaging just over seven targets in his last six games. He has developed into a fairly reliable WR4 with upside, but he faces a tough trip to Seattle next week. Rotoworld.com Nov 27, 5:10 pm

  • Doug Baldwin held to 34 yards on 7 catches
Doug Baldwin hauled in 7-of-8 targets for 34 yards Week 12 against the Bucs.

Advice: With Russell Wilson under constant pressure and struggling downfield, Baldwin's short catches were about the only thing working for the offense. His longest grab went for just 12 yards, and he was held to less than five yards on four of his catches. Baldwin did manage to draw a long defensive pass interference call early in the game, but that was his only contribution downfield. On fire entering this game, Baldwin should bounce back next week against the Panthers. Rotoworld.com Nov 27, 4:42 pm

  • Julio Jones shut down by Patrick Peterson
Julio Jones caught 4-of-7 targets for 35 yards in the Falcons' Week 12 win over the Cardinals.

Advice: Jones was shadowed much of the day by Patrick Peterson, and Peterson won the battle for the most part, though he did take two pass-interference penalties. One was in the end zone, setting up Devonta Freeman's one-yard touchdown on the next play. Jones also had a horrible drop that popped in the air for a Matt Ryan interception. Jones should bounce back next week at home against the Chiefs. LCB Marcus Peters doesn't shadow opposing No. 1 receivers. Rotoworld.com Nov 27, 2:15 pm

  • Taylor accounts for 2 TDs as Bills win
Tyrod Taylor completed 12-of-18 passes for 166 yards and a touchdown and rushed seven times for 38 yards and another touchdown in the Bills' Week 12 win over the Jaguars.

Advice: On a predictably slow passing day versus Jacksonville's solid pass defense, Taylor was still able to make do with his seven-yard rushing score and a 16-yard touchdown dart to Justin Hunter, on which Hunter executed an acrobatic catch. Sammy Watkins also returned on Sunday and got into the act with a 62-yard bomb in the third quarter. His ceiling and floor always buoyed by his rushing value, Taylor will be a fringe QB1 play when the Bills visit The Black Hole for Week 13. Rotoworld.com Nov 27, 1:17 pm

  • Browns 'hopeful' RG3 will start again this year
According to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, the Browns are "hopeful" Robert Griffin III (shoulder, I.R.) will make starts before the end of the season.

Advice: Per Rapsheet, the "caveat" would be if Cody Kessler gets on a roll. That seems unlikely given that Kessler is out with a concussion and the team has reportedly discussed shutting him down for the year. Griffin III resumed practicing this week and could be activated as soon as Week 14. Josh McCown will draw the start at quarterback Sunday against the Giants. Rotoworld.com Nov 27, 7:29 am

  • Pederson: Mathews' knee injury 'could linger'
Eagles coach Doug Pederson said Ryan Mathews is dealing with a "pretty significant knee" injury which "could linger."

Advice: Mathews was not able to practice at all this week after picking up an MCL sprain against the Seahawks. Considering his injury history and the nature of the issue, it would not be surprising if he misses multiple games. Wendell Smallwood will be a borderline RB2 this week and could hold the early-down job for several games. He needs to be owned in all leagues. Rotoworld.com Nov 26, 8:10 am

  • Ryan Mathews ruled out for Monday night
Ryan Mathews (knee) has been ruled out for Monday night against the Packers.

Advice: Despite some optimism early in the week, this was always the likely outcome after Mathews suffered a sprained MCL against the Seahawks. He could be looking at a multi-week absence. Darren Sproles (rib) should play, but Wendell Smallwood will take on the majority of Mathews' work. He is a borderline RB2. Rotoworld.com Nov 26, 7:49 am

  • Ryan Mathews (knee) DNP again on Friday
Ryan Mathews (knee) remained sidelined at Friday's practice.

Advice: Mathews is said to be dealing with a sprained MCL. A round of DNPs for the week suggests he won't play Monday night against the Packers, but we'll have to see his status on Saturday. Wendell Smallwood is in line for a larger role. Rotoworld.com Nov 25, 9:04 am
