Degenerates knock off Gurley Man for eighth straight win, 86.98-81.68
Degenerates extended their win streak to eight games with a hard-fought victory over Gurley Man, coming out on top with an 86.98-81.68 win. Degenerates grabbed an early 5.50-point lead on Thursday. Gurley Man came back to take the lead during the early games on Sunday, powered by O.J. Howard (12.7 points) and John Brown (10.2). Unphased, Degenerates got it going later that afternoon, as Christian McCaffrey (23.1 points) and Robert Woods (13) put them back on top for good. This marks the second time this season Degenerates have knocked off Gurley Man, after winning 132.52-100 in their last matchup. Degenerates (9-1) will look to build on their success against meninblack's Team, while Gurley Man (6-4) try to get back on track against Mark jr's Cool Team.
Myers (2-2 FG, 46 long, 3-3 XP) scored 11 points against the 49ers in Week 10. His scoring output was 33.4% more than his 8.24-point projection and was much higher than his 7-point season scoring average. Myers ranks #10 among fantasy Ks this season and will face the Eagles next week.
Listen Degenerates, I'm a glass-half-full kind of coach. While others may harp on the fact that our scoring output has declined a bit lately, I'll choose to spin this in a positive direction. Averaging 118.92 points through Week 9, our crew has shown it's more than capable of outperforming the 86.98 we needed to win this past week!
Unless Gurley Man wants to go diva-mode on us, then "not seeing many chances" doesn't fly as an excuse this week. Our trio of pass-catchers (two WR and one TE) collectively got a respectable 30 targets in Week 10. Those players might need to hit the practice field, considering they hauled in just 14 receptions.
