• Jeremy Maclin catches one pass Week 3
Jeremy Maclin hauled in 1-of-5 targets for eight yards in the Ravens' Week 3 loss to the Jaguars in London.

Advice: Maclin left the game in the second quarter to be evaluated for a concussion, but he was cleared after halftime. It did not matter much in a game where Joe Flacco struggled to complete a pass -- he airmailed Maclin on what could have been a long gain in the first quarter -- and the receiver's only catch came courtesy of Ryan Mallett late in the blowout. With the passing game struggling, Maclin will be no better than a FLEX option next week against the Steelers. Rotoworld.com 42 minutes ago

  • Chris Ivory sees eight touches in big win
Chris Ivory rushed six times for 17 yards and hauled in both his targets for 25 yards in the Jaguars' Week 3 win over the Ravens in London.

Advice: T.J. Yeldon was once again a healthy scratch, leaving Ivory as the clear backup behind Leonard Fournette. He made the work count against Baltimore, ripping off a 14-yard gain on a screen pass early in the game and adding a nine-yard run in the second half, but he will at best be a 10-touch player while Fournette is healthy. His only fantasy value is as a handcuff in deeper leagues. Rotoworld.com 58 minutes ago

  • Marqise Lee catches four passes in blowout
Marqise Lee hauled in 4-of-7 targets for 65 yards in the Jaguars' Week 3 win over the Ravens in London.

Advice: Lee had a great release on the second play of the game to get open down the sideline, and Blake Bortles hit him with a nice throw for a 35-yard gain. That was just the start for Lee, who dominated the first half with four catches for 65 yards. Unfortunately, he was not targeted after the break with the Jaguars up big, leaving him with a pedestrian fantasy day. Even so, Lee looks like the No. 1 option in the passing game with Allen Robinson out for the year, and he will be a WR3 next week against the Jets. Rotoworld.com Today, 9:29 am

  • Marcedes Lewis scores three TDs in London
Marcedes Lewis hauled in 4-of-5 targets for 62 yards and three touchdowns in the Jaguars' Week 3 win over the Ravens in London.

Advice: To call this performance a shock would be an understatement. Despite entering the game with zero catches through two games, Lewis was involved early, catching a pass across the middle on the opening drive and capping that series with a 23-yard touchdown, his first since Week 2 of last season. Lewis did a great job selling the play action on the score, allowing him to get wide open in the end zone. The tight end was not done, either, getting open deep down the middle of the field for a second touchdown after halftime and adding a third on a four-yard fade the next drive. Lewis had three touchdowns total since 2013 entering the game. While it will be tempting to chase these points, Lewis will not be a fantasy option next week against the Jets. • Blake Bortles throws four TDs in London
Blake Bortles completed 20-of-31 passes for 244 yards and four touchdowns Week 3 against the Ravens in London.

Advice: Bortles started out strong, hitting Marqise Lee with a great throw down the right sideline for a 35-yard gain on the opening field-goal drive, and it only got better from there. Bortles looked comfortable against the formerly stingy Ravens defense, creating yards with his legs and consistently hitting the open man. His first touchdown came after a great play-action fake and nice throw to Marcedes Lewis, and the second was a strike in the back of the end zone to Allen Hurns. With the Jaguars in complete control, Bortles was only asked to throw seven times in the second half before being pulled in the fourth quarter, but he put a nice touch pass right on Lewis down the middle of the field for a third score shortly after the break and hit the tight end again on a fade route for his fourth touchdown on the next drive. It was a great performance from the embattled quarterback which should quiet any benching rumors for at least the next week. Rotoworld.com Today, 9:06 am

Robby Anderson (knee) is active against the Dolphins for Week 3.

Advice: He was given a big opportunity to start the preseason, but Anderson just can't get open and he's seen Jermaine Kearse run away with the top receiver spot. The Jets offense isn't strong enough to have more than one reliable receiver in fantasy. Rotoworld.com Today, 8:45 am

  • Cam Newton 'disappointed' with performance
Cam Newton said he is "disappointed" with his performance through two weeks.

Advice: It is not a huge surprise after sitting out the offseason program and much of camp recovering from shoulder surgery, but Newton has struggled with his accuracy through two weeks, most notably missing a wide-open Ed Dickson Week 1 and Christian McCaffrey Week 2 for what would have been touchdowns. "Missing layups like that, it’s uncalled for," Newton said. "I wish I had about two or three balls back." Newton should improve as he gets more reps under his belt, but his upside is limited by an offense which wants to ride the run and a defense which is good enough to keep them in positive game scripts. Advice: Gordon couldn't get anything going on the ground against Ndamukong Suh, who was blowing up the run game. Gordon was lucky to get his touchdown on a one-yard plunge; the Chargers gave it to the fullback from the one-yard line on the previous two plays only to see him fail both times. Advice: Smith was more involved this week, but didn't make much of an impact. He benefitted from a pass-heavy gameflow, finishing behind Alshon Jeffery (13) and Zach Ertz (10) in targets. Smith should be avoided for Week 3 against the Giants. Rotoworld.com Sunday, 2:39 pm

  • DeMarco Murray sluggish in win over Jaguars
DeMarco Murray totaled 25 yards on nine carries while securing one-of-two targets for three yards Sunday in the Titans’ Week 2 win over the Jaguars.

Advice: Murray was scarcely used in the second half, managing just two carries for four yards after halftime. The Titans rode the hot hand with Derrick Henry, who outplayed Murray all afternoon. Tennessee was up big and probably didn’t want to risk Murray getting hurt, especially given his lengthy injury history. With that said, Henry has become a real threat to Murray’s workload. Murray may be in for another rough game with Seattle coming to town in Week 3. Rotoworld.com Sunday, 2:29 pm

  • Ivory earns nine touches in loss to Tennessee
Chris Ivory delivered 17 yards on six carries while snagging three-of-four targets for 31 yards Sunday in the Jaguars’ Week 2 loss to the Titans.

Advice: All of his carries came in the first half as Jacksonville put an emphasis on its running game early on. Once the Titans started putting points on the board (they won 37-16 after leading 6-3 halftime), the Jaguars had to counter by airing it out, which essentially took Ivory out of the game. Ivory has clearly distanced himself from T.J. Yeldon, who was a healthy scratch on Sunday, but he’s still just a change-of-pace option behind starter Leonard Fournette. He’ll get the Ravens in Week 3. Rotoworld.com Sunday, 2:17 pm

  • Marqise Lee targeted 12 times in Week 2
Marqise Lee nabbed seven-of-12 targets for 76 yards Sunday in the Jaguars’ Week 2 loss to the Titans.

Advice: It was a roller coaster afternoon for Lee. He committed an ugly drop after beating his man in coverage in the first quarter and was also the intended receiver on one of Blake Bortles’ interceptions. The ball deflected off Lee’s hands after Bortles threw it behind him and was eventually pulled in by Da’Norris Searcy. Still, Lee produced solid counting stats thanks to a heavy second-half workload (seven targets). He’ll get the Ravens in Week 3. Rotoworld.com Sunday, 2:12 pm

  • Blake Bortles commits three turnovers Sunday
Blake Bortles completed 20-of-34 passes for 223 yards with one touchdown and two interceptions while adding 29 yards on four carries Sunday in the Jaguars’ Week 2 loss to the Titans.

Advice: He also lost a fumble and was sacked twice for a loss of 12 yards. Bortles endured a dismal first half, completing just 5-of-12 passes for 41 yards before the break. His first pick came on a pass that was tipped at the line of scrimmage while his second came on a play where he missed Marqise Lee on what should have been a simple crossing route. The Jaguars usually do their best to hide Bortles but they had to lean on their passing game after falling way behind in the second half. Bortles salvaged his stat line by leading a pair of garbage-time scoring drives, but it was still a dreadful performance by the former third overall pick. He could be playing for his job against Baltimore next week. Rotoworld.com Sunday, 2:10 pm

  • Jordan Howard spotted with right arm in sling
Jordan Howard rushed nine times for seven yards in the Bears' Week 2 loss to the Bucs, and was spotted afterward with his arm in a sling.

Advice: Howard declined to talk to the media. Things basically couldn't have gone worse for Howard in Tampa, as he was held without a catch on one target in the passing game while rookie Tarik Cohen out-touched him 15-9. The sling is ominous because Howard was already dealing with a shoulder issue. Coach John Fox is a Venus flytrap of injury information, so we might not really get an update on Howard's status until Wednesday's injury report. If he suits up, Howard will have a rough Week 3 matchup in the Steelers. He's tumbling toward low-end RB2 status. Rotoworld.com Sunday, 1:53 pm

  • Phillip Dorsett questionable with knee injury
Phillip Dorsett exited Week 2 against the Saints with a knee injury.

Advice: New England also lost Rob Gronkowski and Rex Burkhead in this game, and Chris Hogan is playing through an injury as well. Perhaps Gronk and Dorsett would have returned in a more competitive game, but the Patriots have serious injury concerns at the skill positions. They probably will add some bodies this week. On the bright side, Dorsett caught three passes for 68 yards before leaving. Rotoworld.com Sunday, 1:07 pm

  • Newton struggles as Panthers sneak by Bills
Cam Newton completed 20-of-32 passes for 228 yards, zero touchdowns and zero interceptions in the Panthers' 9-3, Week 2 win over the Bills.

Advice: Newton did add five rushes for 27 yards, but was extremely inaccurate as a passer. He could have ended the game on 3rd-and-goal from the Bills' two with 2:43 remaining, but committed a comical overthrow of a wide open Christian McCaffrey. As they have been for much of his career, overthrows were a major problem for Newton today. He also almost got Kelvin Benjamin killed on a first half hospital ball. Last but not least, he was getting walloped behind the Panthers' shaky line, absorbing six sacks for a whopping 50 yards. Newton has a get-right Week 3 matchup in the Saints, but he hasn't looked like himself through his first two games. Rotoworld.com Sunday, 1:06 pm

  • Jeremy Maclin returns after shoulder scare
Jeremy Maclin returned to Sunday's Week 2 game against the Browns after missing a few snaps with a shoulder stinger.

  • Ravens WR Maclin suffers shoulder stinger
Jeremy Maclin exited Sunday's Week 2 game against the Browns with a shoulder stinger.

Advice: His return is uncertain. Joe Flacco completed a 19-yard pass to Maclin on the Ravens' opening drive, and Maclin went down in pain before exiting the field under his own power. We will update when more information comes available. Rotoworld.com Sunday, 10:13 am

  • Jordan Howard officially active for Week 2
Jordan Howard (shoulder) is active for Week 2 against the Bucs.

Advice: Howard's shoulder isn't a major concern as the Bears roll into Tampa as considerable road 'dogs. The matchup is, as well as Tarik Cohen. Cohen could end up leading the Bears in targets. Howard should still receive in the range of 15 touches. He remains firmly in the mid-range RB2 mix despite his minor injury and matchup. Rotoworld.com Sunday, 8:31 am

  • Schefter: Jordan Howard is expected to play
ESPN's Adam Schefter confirms Jordan Howard (questionable, shoulder) is expected to play in Week 2 at Tampa Bay.

Advice: Howard showed up as "limited" on injury reports this week, but there was never any doubt about his Week 2 availability. Whether he will produce against a tough Bucs defense while sharing time with Tarik Cohen is another story. Rotoworld.com Saturday, 10:30 pm

  • Phillip Dorsett will be Patriots' No. 3 WR
Phillip Dorsett is currently the Patriots' No. 3 receiver.

Advice: With Danny Amendola (concussion, knee) out and Matthew Slater a special teamer, Dorsett is currently just behind Brandin Cooks and Chris Hogan, although the Patriots could add someone on Saturday. That should result in more than the 18 snaps he played in the season opener, but it is difficult to imagine Dorsett racking up the targets just two weeks after joining the team. New England should heavily utilize their running backs and tight ends in the passing game on Sunday. Rotoworld.com Saturday, 8:23 am

  • J. Howard expected to play; could be limited?
The Chicago Tribune's Rich Campbell expects Jordan Howard (questionable, shoulder) to play in Week 2 at Tampa Bay.

Advice: However, Campbell left open the possibility Howard could see limited snaps by saying it was "fair" to expect a downtick in playing time after Howard did very little in practice all week. It's not inconceivable rookie Tarik Cohen winds up leading the Bears' backfield in snaps after leading them in Week 1 targets. Rotoworld.com Friday, 1:37 pm

  • Bears list Jordan Howard as questionable
Jordan Howard (shoulder) is questionable for Week 2 against the Buccaneers.

Advice: A shoulder injury has limited Howard at practice this week but there's never been much concern about his status for Sunday's game in Tampa Bay. Fantasy owners who scooped Tarik Cohen off the waiver wire should be feeling even more confident this week with Howard nicked up. Rotoworld.com Friday, 11:30 am

  • Newton (shoulder) upgraded to full practice
Cam Newton (shoulder) was removed from the Panthers' injury report for Week 2 against the Bills.

Advice: He was a full participant at Friday's practice after being limited on Thursday. The Panthers are wisely monitoring Newton's practice reps coming off offseason shoulder surgery, but his status for Sunday's home opener was never in doubt. He's RotoPat's No. 8 quarterback for Week 2. Rotoworld.com Friday, 10:32 am

  • Panthers to limit Cam Newton's practice reps
Panthers coach Ron Rivera called Cam Newton's (shoulder) limited practice on Thursday the "new normal."

Advice: The Panthers are continuing to take things slow with Newton as he works back from offseason shoulder surgery. "All part of the protocol that has been set up by our doctors and trainers," said Rivera. "This is going to be part of his maintenance as we go through the season." Newton looked rusty in last week's opener, completing just 14-of-25 passes for 171 yards with two touchdowns and one interception against the Niners. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 1:36 pm

  • Cam Newton (shoulder) limited on Thursday
Cam Newton (shoulder) was limited at Thursday's practice.

  • Jordan Howard remains 'limited' on Thursday
Jordan Howard (shoulder) remained "limited" in Thursday's practice.

Advice: There's been no indication it's a serious issue. Bears coach John Fox routinely makes a mockery of the injury report, and won't say anything of value when he meets with the press. For now, fantasy owners should proceed as if Howard will be ready for his normal role on Sunday, which right now appears to be two-down hammer. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 11:37 am

  • Cam Newton not forcing the ball to anyone
Cam Newton said he is not going to force the ball to anyone.

Advice: "When that play call is called, it’s up for me to go wherever the defense dictates the ball to go," Newton said. "And not picking any favors, not picking any type of person that hasn’t touched the ball, yet. I’ll leave that solely up to [OC Mike] Shula and his staff." Greg Olsen and Kelvin Benjamin combined for just three catches in Week 1, but the low totals can at least partly be explained by Cam's struggles early in the game as well as Newton only throwing 25 passes total in the win. Even with Christian McCaffrey seeing 7-plus targets every week, there should be enough to go around most games. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 6:41 am
