    • Will be ready for training camp
Colts general manager Chris Ballard said Monday in an appearance on "The GM Shuffle with Michael Lombardi and Femi Abebefet" podcast that Richardson (shoulder) will "be full go" for training camp.

Advice: Richardson had rest days mixed into his on-field work during OTAs and mandatory minicamp as a result of shoulder soreness, but those bouts of fatigue don't seem to have represented an actual setback. Instead, the Colts are simply trying to take a cautious approach with Richardson as he recovers from October surgery on his right throwing shoulder. By the time training camp kicks off in late July, Richardson should be at full strength, but if he's still having to take days off at that time, it could represent more cause for concern. At full health, Richardson's combination of arm strength, size, and speed provide him with a tremendous fantasy ceiling, especially with rookie second-rounder Adonai Mitchell joining Michael Pittman, Josh Downs and Alec Pierce. • Kyren Williams hopes to showcase receiving skills
Rams RB Kyren Williams said rookie RB Blake Corum “can run the ball very well and hopefully it allows me to get to the slot or run routes out of the backfield.”

Advice: The Rams added Corum to a backfield dominated by Williams last season. Williams has been dealing with a foot issue in the offseason while Corum has been asked to develop a three-down skillset. The two backs could complement each other in the Rams offense. It is most notable that Williams said Corum’s addition as a runner could help him showcase even more as a pass-catcher after catching 32 passes for 206 yards last season. Though Corum’s addition has Williams optimistically thinking about their complementary roles, Williams has a notable injury history and is a risky gamble at cost for fantasy football with the added competition for touches. Corum will see the field next season, but expect Williams to be the lead back. If his comments are any indication, Williams’ pass-catching upside could see a bump for 2024. Rotoworld Tuesday, 5:04 pm

    • Remains in lead for starter gig
Wilson remains the clear favorite to start Week 1 under center for Pittsburgh and has made a good impression on his new coaching staff throughout OTAs and June minicamp, Chris Ward of SteelersNow.com reports.

Advice: Wilson has impressed with arm talent and leadership throughout spring activities, per Mark Kaboldy of The Athletic, and he's reportedly dominated first-team reps to this point. Justin Fields could push for more opportunities during training camp, but for the time being, there's been nothing to suggest any shift from coach Mike Tomlin's remark early in the offseason that Wilson is in the "pole position" to start Week 1 under center. Experience and consistency alone could make enough difference for Wilson, a 35-year-old veteran, to win the starting gig over Fields, but he'll face pressure to keep Pittsburgh in the playoff race, given that he's playing on only a one-year contract. • Aiyuk and 49ers scheduled to meet with one another
Speaking on NFL Live, Ryan Clark reported that Brandon Aiyuk and the 49ers were scheduled to meet with one another on Monday.

Advice: According to Clark, this is a meeting . He also added that Aiyuk has taken contract negotiations with the team as “personal” over the last several months. Aiyuk posted a video to his social media account last week of him telling Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels that the 49ers “said they don’t want me anymore.” The team when it was reported they still wanted Aiyuk, but not at the price he is asking for. At this time, Aiyuk is set to play out 2024 under the franchise tag, where he’ll earn roughly $14 million. The veteran receiver caught 75 passes for 1,342 yards and seven touchdowns last season and could likely get signed to his desired contract by another team if the 49ers were open to dealing him. Clark said Aiyuk would prefer to remain with the team but is open to playing elsewhere if the team opts to trade him. We expect to know more about this situation in the near future. • Excels during OTAs and minicamp
Tucker blew by the Raiders' defensive backs during spring practices, according to Paul Gutierrez of ESPN.com.

Advice: Granted, it's not unusual for small, fast receivers to excel in early offseason practices without tackling. The Raiders seem optimistic it will carry over in this case, with coach Antonio Pierce saying Tucker is a "different dude" who plays like "the biggest guy out there" despite being 5-foot-9, 185 pounds. Tucker opened last season as the team's fourth/fifth WR after being a third-round pick, eventually working his way up to the No. 3 role and then catching 11 of 15 targets for 170 yards and two touchdowns over the final four weeks. He now seems to be holding off Michael Gallup for that No. 3 role, but it probably won't come with too many snaps or targets in an offense that has Davante Adams and Jakobi Meyers at wide receiver and Brock Bowers and Michael Mayer at tight end. • Tucker ticketed for more ‘multidimensional’ role?
ESPN’s Paul Gutierrez believes second-year Raiders WR Tre Tucker has "(solidified) his hold not only on a roster spot but also on a more multidimensional role beyond speed.”

Advice: 5-foot-9, 4.4-speed Tucker caught just 19 balls as a third-round rookie last season, though 11 of those came over his final four games. Per Gutierrez, he has been “blowing by poor defensive backs” and “stopping on a dime to run comebacks and outs.” He’s caught the attention of coach Antonio Pierce. “Tre Tucker, different dude,” Pierce gushed. “Looks different. Acts different. Runs different. Catches the ball different. Don’t look at the size; don’t mention that. Watch him play. He’s the biggest guy out there.” Tucker is a distant third on the depth chart behind Davante Adams and Jakobi Meyers, but his No. 3 job certainly sounds secured. He’s a late-round freebie behind his older teammates. Rotoworld Thursday, 3:07 pm

    • Wilson ‘clearly’ playing better than Fields
The Athletic’s Mike DeFabo says Russell Wilson “has clearly been the better quarterback” during the Steelers’ offseason.

Advice: DeFabo added that there doesn’t be much of a competition at quarterback at this time, noting that Wilson “has taken the overwhelming majority of meaningful reps, including on the final day of minicamp, when almost every veteran took off.” He also said Fields “doesn’t often shine in seven-on-seven situations,” which isn’t a great endorsement for him with training camp a month away. Both Wilson and Fields are in career-rebuilding mode after flaming out at their previous stops. Neither is going particularly high in fantasy drafts, with Wilson currently going outside of the top 24 in most best ball drafts. Fields’ rushing ability makes him a potentially high-upside fantasy stash whenever he gets a chance to start, but it sounds like Wilson has a good grip on the job heading into training camp. • Beat: Jeudy could open as Browns’ primary slot WR
The Athletic’s Zac Jackson writes, “It’s my belief that the Browns plan to open the season with Jeudy in the slot and Amari Cooper and Cedric Tillman out wide.”

Advice: The Browns went out and acquired Jeudy from the Broncos earlier this offseason and signed him to a three-year extension soon after. Jeudy has lined up in the slot on 52.5 percent of his snaps during his career and played from the slot on 59.1 percent of his snaps last season. It also sounds like Tillman, a second-year receiver, could be in line for significant snaps this season, but the speedster was targeted on just 11.7 percent of his 358 routes last season. Cooper, Jeudy, and Tillman serving as the Browns’ primary receivers in 11 personnel could leave Elijah Moore on the outside looking in with regards to targets and snaps after he went for 59-640-2 in his first year with the Browns.
