Wolfpack must have done something to anger the Fantasy Gods this week, as they lost to Just Soda 89.38 to 78.36. Just Soda is now coming out on top with regularity and is on a four-game win streak. Following a 111.36 to 107.08 win against Sugarbears, Wolfpack saw their scoring drop substantially this week. On top of the loss, Wolfpack had a starter score zero points (Sammie Coates). Just Soda (4-2, 661.76 points) climbs into fourth place and Wolfpack (1-5, 607.54 points) sinks into last place.

Smooth Moves by Just Soda

  • Just Soda scored massive brownie points with the Toyota Hall of Fame this week. Too bad brownie points don't count as real points. Not that you need help.
  • Not quite the best, but pretty darn good. Lamar Miller had the third-highest RB score of the week and the sixth-highest RB score in the league this season with 36.80 points.
  • Just Soda won despite having only 2 of their 8 starters exceed their projected points.
  • Jimmy Graham has now overachieved in four straight games after scoring 14.90 points against a projected 10.76.
  • Just Soda won even though all three of their WRs scored below their projected points.

Toyota Roster Tune-up

  • Sometimes 78.36 is enough. Unfortunately, the Toyota Hall of Fame has confirmed this time it's a smaller number than 89.38.
  • Missed out on an opportunity by leaving the 23.50 points scored by Matt Jones on the bench this week. He outperformed his projected point total by 219.7%, the third-highest percentage in the league.
  • Picked up the Kansas City Chiefs Defense but left them on the bench, where they scored 10.00 points against a projected 5.46.
  • Wolfpack could have used more points from the TE position, where Just Soda beat them 14.90 - 3.50.
  • It's times like these when it's important to support your players when they're down. So move the mouse pointer away from the DROP button. Aaron Rodgers scored a season-low 14.46 points, 61.0% of his projected 23.69, which is his lowest percentage of the year.

What If

  • If Just Soda played Wolfpack every week, they'd be 4-2 this year.
  • Besides Wolfpack, Just Soda would have beaten only three other teams this week.
  • Had they played each other last week, Just Soda would have defeated Wolfpack 117.46 - 111.36.
  • Just Soda would be 3-2 if they played the same schedule as Wolfpack.
  • If Just Soda had played every team in the league each week, they would be 29-37.
  • Wolfpack would have lost to nine other teams besides Just Soda this week.
  • Wolfpack would be 3-2 if they played the same schedule as Just Soda.
  • Wolfpack would be 21-45 if they played every team every week.

Game Notes

  • The 89.38 points scored by Just Soda is the lowest winning score in the league this season.
  • With the win, Just Soda has a four-game win streak, currently the longest in the league.
  • Just Soda was able to win with little help from Chris Boswell, who had a season-low 1.00 point and is on a five-week underperforming streak.
  • At 11.02 points, the margin of victory was the tightest of the week.
  • Wolfpack had their lowest output of the season with 78.36 points.
  • The wideouts for Wolfpack combined to score 42.40 points, 54.1% of the team's total score.
  • Ryan Tannehill did little to help Just Soda, underperforming versus projections for the third straight game with 10.38 points against a projected 19.73.
  • Just Soda underachieved in the win, improving to 1-2 when failing to reach their projected points this season, while Wolfpack falls to 0-4 when scoring below their projected points.

Fantasy MasterpiecesWeek 6

LaDainian Tomlinson SD - RB 2005 vs. Oakland 179 yards from scrimmage, 1 TD rush, 1 TD reception, 1 TD pass In his Week 6 contest against the Raiders in ’05, Tomlinson became just the seventh player in NFL history to throw for a TD, run for a TD and catch a TD pass in the same game.

And, while his effort stands as a great testament to LT’s all-around skills, it goes down as just the eighth-best fantasy performance by a running back since the AFL-NFL merger. In fact, Tomlinson managed to one-up himself in Week 6 in each of the following two seasons, rolling up 135 total yards and four scores against San Francisco in ’06, and 214 total yards and four touchdowns against Oakland (again) in ’07 – which stands as the top Week 6 RB fantasy performance.
Each week of the season we will bring you the top fantasy football performances of the past 10+ years for that week.
