• Dropped by Denver
The Broncos waived Leonard (undisclosed) with an injury settlement Thursday, Parker Gabriel of The Denver Post reports.

Advice: The 6-foot-5 tight end went undrafted out of Georgia Tech this past offseason before being picked up by the Broncos. Both the nature and severity of Leonard's injury are currently unknown, but he will be able to sign elsewhere once he proves that he's medically ready to return to the field. • Not practicing at minicamp
Hall (lower body) won't practice Tuesday, Zack Rosenblatt of The Athletic reports.

Advice: Hall missed some OTA practices in May and now will sit out the first day of June minicamp. There's been no indication of a serious injury, but it'll be something to keep an eye on ahead of training camp in late July. With Hall absent Tuesday, rookies Braelon Allen and Isaiah Davis should have opportunities to work with the first-team offense as they continue their competition for the No. 2 running back role. • Not attending minicamp
Higgins hasn't signed his franchise tag and isn't attending June minicamp, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.

Advice: Higgins would need to sign the tag before practicing and can't be fined while he's technically not under contract. He reportedly asked for a trade in March, but in April he told reporters that he expected to play for the Bengals this season. There's a July 15 deadline for franchise-tagged players to sign long-term contracts. Rotowire.com Tuesday, 6:38 am

  • Brissett on Maye: ‘Every day he’s gotten better’
Jacoby Brissett said of QB Drake Maye, “Every day he’s gotten better.”

Advice: Brissett also added that the team has seen Maye’s “progression come alive” in OTAs and at mandatory minicamp. Last week, Maye earned some reps with the second-team offense and was working with the same group on Monday when the team opened its first day of minicamp. Head coach Jerod Mayo said we at this time, but it’s hard to ignore what we’re seeing. It’s too early to know whether or not Maye will threaten Brissett for the Week 1 nod out of training camp, but if he’s already moved past Bailey Zappe, that leaves only one more hurdle for the No. 3 overall pick to clear in training camp. • Drake Maye advances to No. 2 role in OTAs
The Athletic’s Chad Graff reports Drake Maye ran the second-team offense during Tuesday’s organized team activities (OTAs).

Advice: Maye started OTAs playing behind starter Jacoby Brissett and backup Bailey Zappe. This should not be read as a major development as the team is likely just giving Maye an opportunity to play against higher-quality defenders and offensive coordinator Alex Van Pelt reiterated “Jacoby, again, is our starter.” Rotoworld Jun 6, 2:14 pm
