Before the draft, no one would have expected this squad to end up with a projected finish of second. Linh's Team turned the seventh overall pick into a season potentially filled with success. They're expected to finish 10-4-0 (1,570 points) in Yahoo Public 387340 League. They clearly wanted to put together a wide receiver corps early, using three of their first five selections on DeAndre Hopkins (first round), Eric Decker (fourth round), and Randall Cobb (fifth round). A lot will be expected of this group, as they are an above-average group of WRs.
Whether by good fortune or well-planned strategy, Linh's Team has secured a favorable bye week schedule for their superstars. Of their top five players in projected points, none share a common off week. Looking at the entire season, they have one of the softest slates. Corresponding with the second-easiest overall schedule, Linh's Team also has the league's easiest first four games and softest last four games of the season.
Maybe You Should Add Tony Gonzalez While You're At It
Linh's Team must have missed the point of drafting a back-up. In Week 5, both Coby Fleener and Jimmy Graham will be on bye.
A Triumvirate of Talent
Linh's Team has three above-average positions on their roster (TE, RB, and QB).
Linh's Team elected to go with two DEFs instead of loading up at other spots.
Winner, Winner, Chicken Dinner
- D. Hopkins, WR
- Round 1, Pick 7
Guide to making the playoffs and winning the championship in your league: Step 1, create team. Step 2, draft DeAndre Hopkins. He was the fifth-most-owned player by playoff teams, as well as the third-most-owned player by championship teams.
Returning to Excellence
- Le'Veon Bell, RB
- Round 2, Pick 14
He played in only six games, but Bell joined Adrian Peterson as the only NFL running backs to rush for 90+ yards per game last season.
Like Marino in His Prime
- Drew Brees, QB
- Round 6, Pick 54
Drew Brees is projected to lead the NFL in both passing yards (4,832) and passing TDs (31.8).
A Large Target for the QB
- Coby Fleener, TE
- Round 7, Pick 67
Coby Fleener ranks fourth in the Yahoo Public 387340 League among TEs with 131 projected fantasy points.
Don't Get Too Defensive Over This
- Los Angeles, DEF
- Round 8, Pick 74
But Linh's Team drafted Los Angeles with the 74th pick, even though their ADP is only 85.1 across all Yahoo! leagues.
Linh's Team has three positions that may need to be addressed at some point, including K and DEF, which look like the biggest areas of need.
- Cairo Santos
- Rank 220, ADP 142
- Robbie Gould
- Rank 231, ADP 142
- Green Bay Defense
- Rank 236, ADP 133
- Indianapolis Defense
- Rank 243, ADP 130

How We Grade
Draft grades are based strictly on teams' draft performances. This is calculated by counting the number of fantasy points teams are projected to score over the course of the season using their optimal line-ups. The grades do not take schedule into account. Because of bye weeks and other variables it is possible to earn a high grade yet be projected to finish in the middle of the pack. The opposite is also true. Bottom line: Fantasy Football is like the real game. You can draft the greatest talent in the world but you still need to manage your team every week to get the most out of that talent. As a wise man once said, "On any given Sunday..."
