    James Palmer confirms the Chiefs are expecting Rashee Rice to be suspended for his role in an alleged April street race.

    Elliott's agent will meet with the Cowboys in Dallas on Wednesday, Josina Anderson of CBS Sports reports.

    Advice: The two sides have been connected throughout the offseason, as Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.com reported last month that Elliott and the Cowboys had mutual interest in a reunion. The Cowboys lost Tony Pollard to the Titans in free agency and only added end-of-roster types Royce Freeman and Snoop Conner to a running back room that includes Rico Dowdle, Deuce Vaughn and Malik Davis.   • Report: Cowboys meeting with Zeke
    CBS Sports’ Josina Anderson reports the Cowboys are meeting with free agent RB Ezekiel Elliott before the NFL Draft.

    Advice: While previous reports from the offseason indicated interest in a reunion between Elliott and the Cowboys, Anderson confirms that the two parties are meeting the day before the NFL Draft. Elliott began his career with the Cowboys, spending seven seasons in Dallas and earning three Pro Bowls, a first-team All-Pro, and a second-team All-Pro honor during his time. He spent last season with the Patriots, totaling 184 carries for 642 yards and three touchdowns. The 28-year-old has a lot of tread on his tires but could return to a familiar place in Dallas. The Cowboys currently have Royce Freeman, Rico Dowdle, and Deuce Vaughn in the backfield.   • Schefter: No deal imminent for Jared Goff
    ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports there is no contract extension “imminent” for Jared Goff.

    Advice: The Lions just signed Penei Sewell and Amon-Ra St. Brown to massive extensions, but it sounds like Goff will have to wait. Schefter did note that the two sides have spoken about an extension, though “no deal is close at this time.” Goff is set to enter the final year of his current contract. After getting his team a few plays away from a Super Bowl appearance last year, he is rightfully looking for a new contract before the start of the upcoming season.   • Inks extension with Baltimore
    Bateman signed a two-year contract extension Wednesday.

    Advice: Bateman was already under contract through the upcoming season in the final year of his rookie deal, but the Ravens had until May 2 to decide whether to exercise the receiver's $14.44 million team option for 2025. By reaching an extension with Bateman, the Ravens will no longer have to decide on whether to exercise or decline the option, as he's now on the team's books through 2026. The 24-year-old appeared in 16 of the Ravens' 17 regular-season games this past season, catching 32 of 56 targets for 367 yards and one touchdown. Despite Bateman's underwhelming production during his third NFL season, head coach John Harbaugh noted earlier in the offseason that he views the wideout as a candidate to "take a big step" forward in 2024, per Ryan Mink of the Ravens' official site. The Ravens' pass-catching corps should look mostly similar in 2024 as it did in 2023, as No. 1 wideout Zay Flowers is entering his second season and standout tight end Mark Andrews is back in the fold, though Odell Beckham is currently a free agent and may not be brought back.     Ravens signed Rashod Bateman to a two-year contract extension.

    Advice: Bateman’s rookie deal was set to expire after the 2024 season if the team didn’t pick up his fifth-year option. The option would have Baltimore $14.4 million for the 2025 season alone, making them unlikely to pick it up. Instead, they get to keep Bateman around for a few more years on a cheap deal while Bateman gets more guaranteed money down the road. Head coach John Harbaugh already talked him up this offseason, saying he will see the ball “a lot more” in 2024. Bateman has had a sluggish start to his career because of injuries and a lack of playing time. He peaked at 515 yards on 46 catches as a rookie.
