  • Jaguars add pass-catching TE Mychal Rivera
Jaguars signed TE Mychal Rivera to a two-year, $6.75 million contract.

Advice: The second year of the deal is a team option. Rivera also had interest from the Jets and Colts. Jacksonville is a solid landing spot after moving on from Julius Thomas. Rivera could open the season as the Jaguars' top receiving tight end, but he is unlikely to have much of a box-score impact. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 1:50 pm

  • Mychal Rivera off to visit the Colts
Free agent TE Mychal Rivera is scheduled to visit the Colts.

Advice: Rivera met with the Jets on Monday, but he left without a deal. Not a dynamic threat as a receiver, Rivera is unlikely to make much of a fantasy impact no matter where he lands, but New York would at least offer a good shot at targets. Rotoworld.com Monday, 7:09 pm

  • Colts sign TE Brandon Williams
Colts signed TE Brandon Williams, formerly of the Seahawks.

Advice: Going on 30, the 2012 UDFA appeared in all 16 games as the No. 3 tight end for the Seahawks last season. In Indy, he'll be a body behind Jack Doyle and Erik Swoope. Williams has six career catches. Rotoworld.com Monday, 12:24 pm

  • Brandon Williams to visit Indianapolis
Free agent TE Brandon Williams will visit the Colts.

Advice: Williams logged 149 snaps as the Seahawks' third-string tight end last season. The Colts are looking for depth behind Jack Doyle after trading Dwayne Allen to the Patriots. The 29-year-old has caught just six passes over four NFL seasons. Rotoworld.com Sunday, 10:00 am

  • Ladarius Green expects to be ready for OTAs
Ladarius Green (concussion) plans to be attend offseason workouts.

Advice: Green hasn't been medically cleared, but the Steelers are expecting him back. He was effective when healthy last year despite playing only six games. There should be more clarity on Green's status before OTAs. Rotoworld.com Friday, 3:32 pm

  • Mychal Rivera visiting Jets on Monday
Free agent Mychal Rivera will visit the Jets on Monday.

Advice: Tight end has been a black hole for the Jets in recent years, and Austin Seferian-Jenkins was recently hit with a two-game substance-abuse suspension. Rivera caught just 18 passes for 192 yards last year in Oakland while grading poorly as a run-blocker. He wouldn't be much of an upgrade in New York. Rotoworld.com Friday, 8:11 am

  • Seahawks re-sign Luke Willson to 1-year deal
Seahawks re-signed TE Luke Willson to a one-year contract.

Advice: The deal includes an $800,000 signing bonus. Seattle had a brief flirtation with Jared Cook but decided to bring back Willson after Cook signed with Oakland. Per ESPN's Adam Caplan, the deal is worth "up to" $3 million. Willson will resume his role as Jimmy Graham's primary backup. 27-year-old Willson has never caught more than 22 passes in a season. • Raiders upgrade tight end corps, snag Cook
Raiders agreed to terms with TE Jared Cook, formerly of the Packers, on a two-year contract.

Advice: It's worth "up to" $12.2 million. ESPN's Josina Anderson reports it's "effectively a one-year deal." Cook reportedly turned down a big offer from the Packers, but has landed on his feet in Oakland, where he should have a meaningful pass-catching role. Cook's career has been marked by disappointment, but he was a key weapon for the Packers last season, making plays down the field/up the seam. He's an upgrade on Clive Walford, who busted hard as a sophomore. Cook turns 30 next month. He'll begin 2017 as an upside TE2 for fantasy purposes. Rotoworld.com Thursday, 2:13 pm

Cowboys TE Geoff Swaim underwent foot surgery this week and will be sidelined until training camp.

  • Seferian-Jenkins hit with 2 game suspension
NFL suspended Austin Seferian-Jenkins two games for violating the substance abuse policy.

Advice: The suspension stems from his September DUI. Seferian-Jenkins can participate in OTAs/preseason, but will miss the first two weeks. It shouldn't impact his roster spot, as he won't count against the Opening Day 53. The Jets have just Braedon Bowman, Eric Tomlinson and Jason Vander Laan behind ASJ. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 2:00 pm

  • Free agent TE Gragg visits Jaguars
Free agent TE Chris Gragg visited the Jaguars on Wednesday.

Advice: Gragg was drafted by now-Jaguars coach Doug Marrone in Buffalo in the seventh round in 2013. Billed as an athletic tight end, Gragg has just 24 career catches for 251 yards and two scores and missed all of 2016 with a torn ACL. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 10:43 am

  • Rams' McVay excited about 2nd-year TE Higbee
Coach Sean McVay said second-year TE Tyler Higbee is someone he's "looking forward to getting on the grass with" this summer.

Advice: "He can stretch the seam; a nice catch radius," McVay said. "He's got a good feel and savvy in the pass game." Following the release of Lance Kendricks, Higbee sits comfortably atop the depth chart ahead of blocker Cory Harkey and fellow sophomore Temarrick Hemingway. The Rams may add help at the position, but Higbee has a sky-high ceiling as a 6'6/250 plus athlete entering McVay's tight end-friendly offense. Higbee has a chance in 2017 to triple the 29 targets he saw as a rookie. Rotoworld.com Wednesday, 7:47 am

  • Jared Cook expected to meet with the Raiders
Free agent Jared Cook is expected to meet with the Raiders.

Advice: That's assuming he escapes Minnesota without a contract. Oakland would be a better landing spot both from a fantasy and "real life" perspective. There aren't any Kyle Rudolph-sized roadblocks with the Silver and Black, and the quarterback play is infinitely better. Rotoworld.com Tuesday, 3:51 pm

  • Vikings next up on Jared Cook's schedule
Tom Pelissero of USA Today reports free agent Jared Cook is scheduled to visit the Vikings.

Advice: That is assuming he leaves his visit with the Seahawks without a contract. Both teams already have No. 1 tight ends locked in, but both also like to use multiple-TE sets. Still, neither is likely to break the bank for a secondary option. Rotoworld.com Tuesday, 9:58 am

  • Jared Cook scheduled to visit Seahawks
NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports free agent Jared Cook is scheduled to visit the Seahawks.

Advice: It is an interesting link for a team set to pay Jimmy Graham $10 million, but Graham is in the final year of his deal while Luke Willson is a free agent. Still, Seattle would seem to be better served by finding more of a combo tight end to play behind Graham. Cook has also been linked to the Lions and Bills. Rotoworld.com Mar 13, 4:58 pm

  • Julius Thomas: I'm 100 percent healthy
New Dolphins TE Julius Thomas insists he's 100 percent healthy.

Advice: Injuries have been a constant presence in Thomas' six-year career. He missed 11 combined games his two seasons in Jacksonville. He's reuniting with a coach in Adam Gase who, along with Peyton Manning, coaxed monster numbers out of Thomas in 2013-14, but it's possible injuries have taken a toll on Thomas' past explosiveness. He turns 29 in June. Rotoworld.com Mar 13, 1:28 pm

  • Niles Paul expects to be ready for OTAs
Redskins TE Niles Paul (shoulder) expects to be ready for OTAs.

Advice: Paul says he has not been fully cleared yet from November shoulder surgery, but he posted a picture of himself backflipping off a boat in Thailand in late February. He should be good to go once the offseason program opens. Paul caught 39 passes for 507 yards in 2014, but his career has been derailed by injury since. He may be fighting for his roster spot this offseason. Rotoworld.com Mar 13, 7:39 am

  • Eagles restructure Zach Ertz's contract
    Eagles restructured Zach Ertz's contract.

Advice: $3.225 million of his scheduled base salary was converted into a roster bonus. The move does not cost Ertz anything, but it saves the Eagles $2.58 million against the cap, money they likely used to sign Nick Foles. Ertz finished 2016 on a tear, but he will face more competition for targets in 2017 with Alshon Jeffery and Torrey Smith in the fold. He might be over-drafted this summer.
