  • 49ers sticking with Kaepernick for Week 14
Colin Kaepernick will be the 49ers' Week 14 starter at quarterback.

Advice: The 49ers benched Kaepernick in the midst of a ludicrously bad Week 13 performance in the snow, but are wisely giving him another shot against the Jets. Kap's play had been on an upward trajectory before last week's catastrophic setback, and though it can sound like damning with faint praise, Kap has been a clear improvement on Blaine Gabbert. Regardless, the fantasy calculus has changed. Kap should now be considered at risk of in-game benchings, rendering him a risk/reward QB2 instead of the low-end QB1 he had been performing as. • Bowles says he always planned to start Petty
Jets coach Todd Bowles said he always planned to start Bryce Petty over the final month of the season.

Advice: "We could have won 45-0, (Bryce) was going to start the last four games," Bowles said after Monday night's blowout loss. "That's the slot we had penciled for him, that's a good time to take a look at him." It is unclear why Petty would be good enough for the final four games and not the final six, but at least the correct decision has finally been made. Even though it is pretty clear Petty is not the long-term answer, the Jets at least need to see it on the field before this offseason. Rotoworld.com Today, 6:22 am

  • Bowles says Petty will start final four games
Coach Todd Bowles said Bryce Petty will start the Jets' final four games.

Advice: Owners of Ryan Fitzpatrick can release him. Petty will get starts at the 49ers, vs. the Dolphins, at the Patriots, and vs. the Bills to close out the year. At 3-9, it makes sense for the Jets to get a look at Petty to see if they have anything here. By the looks of his first few NFL appearances, chances are slim. He has a big arm, but struggles with accuracy. Petty's insertion to the lineup is a big downgrade to Brandon Marshall, but might give Robby Anderson a slight boost. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 9:01 pm

  • Jets get embarrassed 41-10 by Colts on MNF
In relief of a benched Ryan Fitzpatrick, Bryce Petty completed just 11-of-25 passes for 135 yards, one touchdown, and two interceptions in the Jets' 41-10, Week 13 loss to the Colts on Monday night.

Advice: Fitzpatrick was benched after completing 5-of-12 passes for 81 yards and an interception in the first half. Petty took over on the first possession of the third quarter with the Jets getting railroaded 31-3. Petty's numbers look worse than they could have been, as he was hurt badly by drops, but he still wasn't very good. His touchdown was a 40-yarder to Robby Anderson where the defensive back fell down on the play. And one of Petty's interceptions was a deep-ball heave down the middle. He was taking shots with the Jets getting stomped, which was nice to see. At 3-9, the Jets will probably give the rest of the starts to Petty. They travel to San Francisco next Sunday. • Luck picks apart Jets w/ 4 TDs in MNF blowout
Andrew Luck completed 22-of-28 passes for 278 yards and four touchdowns in the Colts' Week 13 win over the Jets on Monday night.

Advice: With the Colts stomping the Jets 41-10 with about 11 minutes left in the fourth quarter, coach Chuck Pagano called off the dogs and replaced Luck with Scott Tolzien. It was quite the return from a Week 11 concussion for Luck after he missed the Thanksgiving night game. Luck found Dwayne Allen for wide-open seven- and 21-yard touchdown passes on the Colts' first two possessions. The two later hooked up for a third score from 23 yards out before halftime. That time, the Jets actually covered Allen, but he made a great catch. Luck's fourth score was a three-yarder to Donte Moncrief to make it 30-3. His favorite receiver on the night, T.Y. Hilton, racked nine catches and 146 yards on 10 targets, doing whatever he wanted against soft coverage. The Colts will host the Texans in Week 14 where Luck will be an elite QB1 play. • Fitzpatrick benched after 81 yds, INT at half
Ryan Fitzpatrick was benched after completing 5-of-12 passes for 81 yards, no touchdowns, and one interception in the first half Week 13 against the Colts.

Advice: Dreadful. The Jets were getting blasted 24-3 at halftime, and the Colts scored another touchdown on the first possession of the third quarter to make it 31-3 before Bryce Petty came into the game to a round of applause. The Jets went three-and-out on their first two possessions of the game, and Fitzpatrick threw a terrible pick into double-coverage just before halftime. Well on their way to 3-9, the Jets may as well give Petty the reins the remainder of the year. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 7:22 pm

  • Hue Jackson noncommittal on RG3 starting
Browns coach Hue Jackson said Monday that it's "too soon" to say whether Robert Griffin III will start in Week 14 against the Bengals.

Advice: Although Jackson was noncommittal in this presser, seemingly all of the Browns' beat writers believe RG3 will be under center versus Cincinnati. The growing consensus among reporters covering the team suggests they already know the Browns' Week 14 starter based on scuttlebutt at team headquarters. Speaking Monday, Broncos coach Gary Kubiak said Trevor Siemian (foot) is doing a "lot better."

Advice: NBC Denver has reported there's "hope" Siemian returns against the Titans. He has shed his walking boot. The Broncos desperately need Siemian back. • Rex offers cryptic comments on Tyrod Taylor
Speaking about Tyrod Taylor's play following Sunday's loss, Bills coach Rex Ryan said "look, let's just let this play out."

Advice: "We feel pretty comfortable with Tyrod," Ryan said. "There's a lot of factors that go into everything." Taylor had a strong first quarter Sunday, but then melted down as the Bills blew a big lead. Taylor's play has really started to ebb in recent weeks after a more consistent middle stretch of the season. Writing about the performance on Monday, respected Bills beat writer Joe Buscaglia said "if it’s me, as of right now, I would be moving on from Taylor." • 'Real chance' Griffin III starts this week
ESPN's Adam Schefter reports there's a "real chance" Robert Griffin III (shoulder, injured reserve) is the Browns' Week 14 starter.

Advice: Griffin has yet to even be formally activated off injured reserve, but most signs are pointing toward him starting against the Bengals. The lost-year Browns might as well take a four-game look — if Griffin can stay healthy that long — headed into the offseason. We'd consider the odds heavily stacked against Griffin being the team's 2017 quarterback. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 11:06 am

  • 'All signs point' to RG3 starting this week?
ESPN's Pat McManamon wrote "all signs point" to Robert Griffin III getting the start this week.

Advice: Hue Jackson has yet to name a starter, and McManamon's prediction comes with the important caveat of "provided he makes it through practice and looks like he has shaken off three months of rust." Still, it makes sense for the Browns to see what Griffin can do, especially considering they averaged fewer than 10 points in their last four games. Even if Griffin gets the nod, the offense around him is too poor and the chance of an in-game injury is too high to trust him in the first-round of the playoffs. Rotoworld.com Yesterday, 8:27 am

  • Newton held to one touchdown in loss
Cam Newton completed 14-of-32 passes for 182 yards and a touchdown in Carolina's Week 13 loss to Seattle.

Advice: Newton was benched on the opening drive for breaking a dress code violation. He played the rest of the game but didn't get anything going against Seattle’s secondary. Newton's only touchdown was a perfect 55-yard strike to Ted Ginn that split the coverage. He made a couple of wide throws on end-zone shots to Kelvin Benjamin. Newton has been held to one touchdown in three of his last four games. He has a get right matchup with the Chargers in Week 14. Rotoworld.com Sunday, 8:49 pm

Russell Wilson completed 26-of-36 passes for 277 yards a touchdown and an interception in Seattle’s Week 13 win over the Panthers.

Advice: Wilson led Seattle to an early lead in a puntless first half. He wasn’t asked to do much after that, but salvaged his night with a goal-line TD to Jimmy Graham. Wilson had one of his better rushing games, adding 29 yards on three carries. He’s a midrange QB1 for Week 14 against the Packers. Rotoworld.com Sunday, 8:44 pm

  • Cam's benching was for 'dress code violation'
Panthers coach Ron Rivera told NBC that Cam Newton's one-play benching on Sunday was the result of a "dress code violation."

Advice: Rivera cost his team three points because Newton didn't wear a tie (seriously). Derek Anderson's tipped-ball interception on the game's opening play was a "ball don't lie" if there ever was one. Rivera likely snapped after a year of Russell Westbrook-esque fashion offenses from Newton following games. We're guessing the ol' ball coach won't make the same mistake twice. Jameis Winston completed 20-of-30 passes for 280 yards, one touchdown, and one interception in the Bucs' Week 13 win over San Diego.

Advice: His lone mistake was a forced pass to Mike Evans in the first quarter that was picked off by Casey Hayward. It wasn't a big fantasy day for Winston, but he played controlled football, absorbing just one sack and otherwise avoiding turnovers in Tampa Bay's impressive cross-country upset win. In Week 14, Winston will go back home to take on a Saints defense that just got shredded by Matthew Stafford. Winston to Evans figures to be a popular DFS stack. Rotoworld.com Sunday, 5:23 pm

  • Cousins throws TD, rushes for another in loss
Kirk Cousins completed 21-of-37 passes for 271 yards, one touchdown, and one interception while adding a one-yard touchdown run in the Redskins' Week 13 loss to the Cardinals.

Advice: Cousins was quiet before halftime, but he started off the second half with an absolute dime deep down the middle of the field to DeSean Jackson. He capped that drive with a short rushing touchdown on a sneak. After losing the ball on a strip sack to let the Cardinals re-take the lead, Cousins led another solid drive he finished with a 26-yard strike to Jamison Crowder. Unfortunately, Washington could only manage a single field goal the rest of the way, and Cousins ended the game by throwing behind Crowder on what would have been a big gain and potentially a game-tying touchdown. This was not a great performance by Cousins, but he will get a chance to bounce back next week in Philadelphia. The Eagles have been shredded by Aaron Rodgers and Andy Dalton in back-to-back games. • Eli struggles as Giants' winning streak ends
Eli Manning completed 24-of-39 passes for 195 yards with two touchdowns and two interceptions and rushed once for a loss of one yard Sunday in the Giants' Week 13 loss to the Steelers.

Advice: He was sacked twice for a loss of 17 yards. Disastrous might not be the right word for his performance, but Manning certainly wasn’t sharp on Sunday. He threw a brutal red-zone interception in the first half and was picked again on a desperation heave that landed nowhere near his desired target. Manning had a chance to get New York back in the game on a fourth-and-one opportunity from the three-yard line, but couldn’t connect with Will Tye in the end zone. He scored his first touchdown on a screen to Rashad Jennings and added to his tally with a one-yard strike to Sterling Shepard. That touchdown occurred with just 26 seconds remaining. • Tyrod Taylor turns it over in loss to Raiders
Tyrod Taylor completed 18-of-35 passes for 191 yards, no touchdowns, and one interception in the Bills' Week 13 loss to the Raiders.

Advice: He added 30 yards rushing and one touchdown on three attempts. The touchdown run was a great read-option keeper where Khalil Mack crashed hard and didn't hold the edge, letting Taylor walk in easily. Mack later got his revenge, though, getting to Taylor to tip a pass, causing his interception deep in Buffalo territory, and then recording a strip-sack and recovering the fumble. Buffalo held a 24-9 lead at one point, but allowed 29 unanswered points to fall to 6-6. They need wins from here on out. Taylor will be a borderline QB1 next week against the Steelers. Paxton Lynch completed 12-of-24 passes for 104 yards in the Broncos' Week 13 win over Jacksonville.

Advice: He rushed twice for 11 yards. The good news is Lynch avoided turnovers and took only two sacks after taking six in his Week 5 spot start against the Falcons. The bad news is Lynch struggled mightily for the second straight start and is a clear downgrade from Trevor Siemian, who was inactive Sunday with a foot sprain. Matthew Stafford completed 30-of-42 passes for 341 yards and two touchdowns in the Lions' 28-13, Week 13 win over the Saints.

Advice: It was a commanding performance from Stafford, who spent a good chunk of the first half with only one incompletion. Stafford methodically kept the chains moving, and the Saints off the field. Stafford's offense gobbled up 37 minutes of possession. It hasn't been fantasy friendly, but Stafford has been executing the Lions' ball-control offense to perfection. • Ryan Tannehill melts down in loss to Baltimore
Ryan Tannehill completed 29-of-40 passes for 226 yards with one touchdown and three interceptions and rushed for no gain Sunday in the Dolphins' Week 13 loss to the Ravens.

Advice: He was sacked twice for a loss of 11 yards. This was a meltdown of the highest degree. Tannehill straight up stunk on Sunday and seemed to get worse as the game went on. He showed almost no awareness, repeatedly throwing into tight coverage with disastrous results. The three interceptions were as many as he had thrown in his previous seven games combined. Even with a healthy offensive line to protect him—something he hasn’t had in recent weeks—Tannehill could only complete short passes and consistently made the wrong decision. It was a huge step back for the Dolphins’ fifth-year signal caller. Tannehill has another tough game coming up against Cardinals in Week 14, though at least that’ll be a home game. The 49ers didn't show any confidence in Kaepernick with bad conditions at Soldier Field. It's a huge step back after Kaepernick had a 5:1 TD/INT ratio over his last two games. • Flacco slays Dolphins with four touchdowns
Joe Flacco completed 36-of-47 passes for 381 yards with four touchdowns and one interception Sunday in the Ravens' Week 13 win over the Dolphins.

Advice: Flacco was surgical on Sunday. He got off to a magnificent start by completing six-of-seven passes to six different receivers on the Ravens’ opening drive. Flacco had his most success throwing to Dennis Pitta, who shredded Miami for 90 yards and two touchdowns. Flacco’s obligatory bad interception came on a play-action pass intended for Mike Wallace. It was a poor decision by Flacco but Wallace gave up on his route, which allowed Byron Maxwell to swoop in for an easy pick. Aside from that, Flacco could do no wrong. He flourished when the Ravens went no-huddle and attacked the middle of the field. Sunday represented his highest yardage output since Week 2 of last season. Blake Bortles completed 19-of-42 passes for 181 yards and two interceptions in the Jaguars' Week 13 loss to the Broncos.

Advice: His lone positive contribution was a 22-yard rushing score in the second half. Bortles threw the 11th pick six of his career to Broncos RCB Bradley Roby on a pass intended for Allen Robinson. Both of Bortles' picks were intended for Robinson, in fact. • Brock Osweiler throws for two TDs in loss
Brock Osweiler completed 21-of-34 passes for 213 yards, two touchdowns, and zero interceptions in the Texans' Week 13 loss to the Packers.

Advice: Osweiler did not complete his first pass to a receiver until midway through the second quarter, and he was repeatedly late with his throws to the sidelines, a problem he has displayed all season. Osweiler did have a couple big completions when the Texans started focusing on the middle of the field, and he made a nice throw rolling right for his first touchdown in the third quarter. The second touchdown was a catch-and-run by DeAndre Hopkins in garbage time. Despite some success in the second half, this offense remains broken and Osweiler is not good enough to be part of the solution, but the Texans do not have much of a choice. • Wentz tosses three picks in loss to Bengals
Carson Wentz completed 36-of-60 passes for 308 yards, one touchdown, and three interceptions in the Eagles' 32-14, Week 13 loss to the Bengals.

Advice: The whopping 60 pass attempts easily set a new season-high for the rookie. He could (should) have been picked off at least two other times, and WLB Vontaze Burfict got him twice. Since starting 3-0 before the Week 4 bye, the Eagles have lost 7-of-9 and five of their last six. Wentz's lone touchdown was on a 4th-and-5 play to Zach Ertz on a busted coverage. It can't all be blamed on Wentz, however, as he has very little help in terms of playmakers. Jordan Matthews (ankle) missed this one, and Dorial Green-Beckham left early with a ribs injury. • Aaron Rodgers efficient in easy Week 13 win
Aaron Rodgers completed 20-of-30 passes for 209 yards and two touchdowns in the Packers' Week 13 win over the Texans.

Advice: With the Texans doing nothing outside of a third-quarter drive and a garbage-time touchdown, the Packers were able to run a conservative offense in the snow. That dink-and-dunk approach failed to take advantage of good field position early in the game, but Rodgers capped a short touchdown drive with a nine-yard pass to Randall Cobb in the second quarter. Despite a lingering hamstring injury, Rodgers was able to escape the pocket left before finding Cobb streaking through the end zone. After the Texans tied the game in the third, Rodgers led a 98-yard drive he finished with a 32-yard strike to a wide-open Jordy Nelson. Green Bay added an insurance touchdown on another long drive late. Rodgers did not look completely healthy in this game, but he was able to escape pressure and pick up some chunk gains with his legs. Andy Dalton completed 23-of-31 passes for 332 yards and two touchdowns in the Bengals' 32-14, Week 13 win over the Eagles.

Advice: It was arguably Dalton's best passing performance of the season, as his 130.0 rating was a new season-best. His two touchdowns went to Brandon LaFell in the back of the end zone from eight yards out, and then Dalton threw a perfectly-lofted 13-yard score to Tyler Eifert for his second score. Advice: He took four sacks and didn't lead the Rams to a touchdown drive until deep garbage time, capped by a short score to Kenny Britt. Goff's pocket presence reminded of Blaine Gabbert in Foxboro, and the Rams' assertion that Goff "wasn't ready" a month ago has held strong since he took the reins from Case Keenum. The Patriots picked apart the Rams with quick passes and an early 43-yard score by LeGarrette Blount, in addition to four Stephen Gostkowski field goals. Matt Ryan completed 22-of-34 passes for 297 yards, one touchdown and an interception in the Falcons' 29-28, Week 13 loss to the Chiefs.

Advice: Ryan was two doomed by two bad throws. Eric Berry jumped the route on Ryan's interception, housing it for a pick six. Berry then jumped the route on a late two-point conversion, returning it for two points and the difference in a back-and-forth game. Both throws should have never been delivered. • Brady, Edelman, & Bennett 'good to go' Wk 13
ESPN's Adam Schefter reports Tom Brady (knee, questionable) will play Week 13 against the Rams.

Advice: Schefter also reports Julian Edelman (ankle), Martellus Bennett (ankle, shoulder), and Chris Hogan (back) are "good to go." With Rob Gronkowski (back) done for the year, Brady will have to lean on Edelman and Bennett especially in the passing game, but Hogan and rookie Malcolm Mitchell should have expanded roles as well. Even with Gronk out, Brady remains a high-end QB1. Rotoworld.com Sunday, 5:40 am

  • Aaron Rodgers expected to suit up Sunday
Aaron Rodgers (hamstring, questionable) is expected to play Sunday in Week 13 against the Texans.

Advice: Rodgers' status was never in much doubt after putting in a limited week of practice. After getting off to a relatively slow start, Rodgers has gone ballistic over his last six games, contributing 17 touchdowns and only three interceptions during that span. Even at less than 100 percent, he'll be an elite QB1 Sunday against Houston. Rotoworld.com Sunday, 5:34 am

  • Report: Kaepernick will void deal, become FA
NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports Colin Kaepernick will void his contract after the season to become a free agent.

Advice: Rapoport added voiding the deal would not "rule out a return" to the 49ers next season. Kaepernick is set to make $14.5 million in base salary if he sticks around in San Francisco next season, and even after a strong finish, it is unlikely he would get much more than the $7.5 million per year Robert Griffin III landed from the Browns on the open market. Perhaps he is so ready to get away from the 49ers he will take his chances, but this is more likely a negotiating ploy. Rotoworld.com Sunday, 5:28 am

Advice: Brady sat out Wednesday's session but practiced on a limited basis on Thursday and Friday. He's in no danger of missing Week 13. • Broncos to start Paxton Lynch against Jaguars
The Broncos will start rookie Paxton Lynch at quarterback in Week 13.

Advice: The talented Jaguars pass defense has been tough on quarterbacks this season, allowing just one opposing signal caller to top 280 yards against them on the year. Lynch struggled against a weaker pass defense at home against Atlanta in Week 5, managing 223 yards on 35 attempts with one touchdown and one pick. He took six sacks behind a sub-par Broncos offensive line. Lynch will be a low-end two-quarterback-league play in Jacksonville. Rotoworld.com Friday, 10:25 am

Advice: While the Broncos have said Siemian could play without practicing, it's clear he has a significant injury and won't be playing against the Jags. It's a shame as Siemian is coming off his best game of the season. He's dealing with a sprained left foot and it's unclear how long the injury will linger. Advice: Coach Chuck Pagano did not commit to Luck playing against the Jets when quizzed on Friday, but he will if Luck passes this final hurdle. Luck has been able to practice all this week, and the Colts waived third-string quarterback Stephen Morris on Thursday. Advice: At this point, Siemian is looking unlikely to suit up against the Jaguars, even though coach Gary Kubiak has claimed he could play without practicing. It's an across-the-board downgrade for Denver's offense. With the way things are trending, we should get official word on Siemian's status by Friday. He'll either practice or he won't. Advice: The Browns are on bye this week, giving them an extended period to plot the final quarter of their lost campaign. Griffin attempted 26 passes as a Brown before getting injured. Brock Osweiler has completed just 26 percent of his passes thrown 15 or more yards downfield.

Advice: That is the lowest completion rate among qualified quarterback according to ESPN Stats & Information. Osweiler also leads the league with eight interceptions downfield including three in Sunday's loss to the Chargers. Struggling with his decision making and unable to consistently put the ball on target, Osweiler is holding the offense hostage. Browns coach Hue Jackson said Robert Griffin III (shoulder, injured reserve) could be cleared for contact this week.

Advice: Griffin has one more test to pass, and it will be conducted this week. If Griffin is able to get cleared, it would not be surprising if he starts Week 14 against the Bengals, but Jackson thinks it is too early to make that decision. "He has not played football now in a while," Jackson said. "I am sure he has to get the rust off a little bit, but hopefully, we will see where he is, and if they clear him for contact, then we will know more as we move forward." Advice: Rodgers needed treatment on the sidelines during the game, but the injury never appeared to be a real concern. • Wentz gets little help in MNF loss to Packers
Carson Wentz completed 24-of-36 passes for 254 yards, no touchdowns, and one interception in the Eagles' Week 12 loss to the Packers.

Advice: He was able to help fantasy owners some with four rushes for 33 yards and one touchdown on the ground. His touchdown run was super impressive on the Eagles' first series, diving head-first into the end zone to answer the Packers' opening score. But Wentz got very little help from his supporting cast, especially after Jordan Matthews left in the second quarter with an ankle injury. Wentz was left with Dorial Green-Beckham and Bryce Treggs out wide. Wentz was under serious pressure in the second half as well, taking four sacks in total. If Matthews misses any time, this offense doesn't stand much of a chance to score points. The Eagles will be on a short week making a road trip to face the down-and-out Bengals in Week 13. Aaron Rodgers completed 30-of-39 passes for 313 yards and two touchdowns in the Packers' 27-13, Week 12 win over the Eagles on Monday night.

Advice: This might have been his best performance of the season. The 76.9 percent completion rate is a new single-game high, while the 8.0 YPA is his third-best mark of the year. Rodgers was near-flawless in this one, threading the needle with a beautiful 20-yard touchdown pass to Davante Adams on his second score after drilling Adams on a 12-yard slant pattern touchdown on the first. He made things happen with his legs, as usual, escaping the very minimal pressure he faced Monday, and finding open receivers downfield. Rodgers appeared to injure his left hamstring at one point and had to go into a mysterious black tent on the sideline to get a pad put beneath his pants. Coach Todd Bowles confirmed Monday that Ryan Fitzpatrick will remain the Jets' starting quarterback for Week 13 against the Colts.

Advice: Bowles went as far as to call it a "no-brainer" and say there was "no debate" about Fitzpatrick retaining his starting role. Although he committed a sack-fumble to end Sunday's game, Fitzpatrick turned in one of his best performances of the season against the Patriots, throwing for 269 yards and two touchdowns. • Bowles declines to name starting quarterback
Jets coach Todd Bowles declined to name a starting quarterback following the team's Week 12 loss to the Patriots.

Advice: "I'll evaluate everything this week going forward," Bowles said. "I'm not going to make a decision today, or a rash decision one way or another." Ryan Fitzpatrick had one of his best games of the season against the Patriots, but he lost a costly fumble late in the close game. Fitzpatrick clearly gives the Jets their best chance to win, but that does not matter much with the playoffs out of reach. • Fitzpatrick holds his own against New England
Ryan Fitzpatrick completed 22-of-32 passes for 269 yards with two touchdowns and one lost fumble and rushed twice for one yard Sunday in the Jets' Week 12 loss to the Patriots.

Advice: He was sacked once for no loss. Fitzpatrick outplayed Tom Brady for most of the day on Sunday but still came up a bit short. Trailing by five with under two minutes to go, Fitzpatrick coughed up a costly fumble that essentially clinched the win for New England. Fitzpatrick played conservatively on Sunday, mostly sticking to checkdowns and underneath passes. His first touchdown came on a one-yard strike to Brandon Marshall on the first play of the second quarter. Fitzpatrick later connected with Quincy Enunwa for a 21-yard score in the fourth quarter. • Brady leads New England to comeback win
Tom Brady completed 30-of-50 passes for 286 yards and two touchdowns while adding three rushes for -4 yards Sunday in the Patriots' Week 12 win over the Jets.

Advice: Brady was not at his best on Sunday, which should come as no surprise after being listed as questionable with a knee injury. He was especially sluggish in the first half when he threw for just 117 yards on 15-of-25 passing. It didn’t help that Brady played most of the game without Rob Gronkowski, who bowed out with a back injury late in the first quarter. But as Brady often does, he turned it on when the game mattered most. He was terrific on the final drive, completing six-of-nine passes for 83 yards and the game-winning touchdown, which came on an eight-yard strike to Malcolm Mitchell. Brady extended the drive by slinging a four-yard pass to James White to convert on fourth down. The MVP frontrunner will be a no-brainer QB1 against Los Angeles in Week 13. • Cam has 3 TDs; Panthers comeback falls short
Cam Newton completed 14-of-29 passes for 246 yards, two touchdowns, and interception in the Panthers' 35-32, Week 12 loss to the Raiders.

Advice: He added six rushing yards and a third touchdown. It was a tale of two halves for the Panthers, and this game as a whole. Newton went into halftime having completed 3-of-12 passes for 18 yards and a pick-six that was thrown right to Khalil Mack late in the second quarter, putting Carolina in a 24-7 hole. Then Derek Carr dislocated his pinkie finger early in the third quarter and the momentum seemed to flip, even with Carr missing just one series. Newton hooked up with Ted Ginn for an 88-yard touchdown bomb, roasting T.J. Carrie. Cam then found Kelvin Benjamin on a 44-yard touchdown later in the fourth quarter. Carolina held a 32-24 lead, and Newton was later strip-sacked to end the game. The Panthers are 4-7 ahead of a Week 13 road date at Seattle. Rotoworld.com Nov 27, 4:46 pm

  • Seahawks held to five points in Week 12 loss
Russell Wilson completed 17-of-33 passes for 151 yards and two interceptions while rushing eight times for 80 yards in the Seahawks' Week 12 loss to the Bucs.

Advice: The offense (3) barely managed more points than the defense (2) in a dreadful affair. Wilson did manage to top his season total entering the game with 80 rushing yards, but they did not come under good circumstances. Wilson was under constant pressure from the first snap, and his rushing total was just the result of him having to run for his life. The pressure seemed to affect Wilson, who misfired on several passes downfield including what could have been a couple long plays to Tyler Lockett. His final interception, which also targeted Lockett deep, ended a game where the Seahawks converted once on 11 third-down attempts. Wilson struggled in this game, but he had been playing well coming into this week. He will have a good shot to bounce back on Sunday night against the Panthers. Rotoworld.com Nov 27, 4:17 pm

  • Winston's 2 early TDs enough to beat Seahawks
Jameis Winston completed 21-of-28 passes for 220 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception in the Bucs' Week 12 win over the Seahawks.

Advice: Winston was on fire to start the game, easily escaping pressure and making great play after great play. He threw a dime to Mike Evans for a 26-yard gain on third down on the first series, capped that drive with a short touchdown to Evans while rolling left, and hit Evans with another spectacular throw over Richard Sherman for a 23-yard touchdown on the next drive. The offense stalled after the second score, however, giving up a safety, missing a field goal, giving up a fumble, throwing an interception, or punting on the next nine drives. The interception was a terrible throw by Winston trying to force the ball to Mike Evans in the end zone late in the fourth quarter, but his defense picked up the slack by intercepting Russell Wilson to close out the game. Winston was not in vintage form on Sunday, but his team is now firmly in the playoff picture. He will look to keep it going next week in San Diego. Rotoworld.com Nov 27, 4:09 pm

  • O'Brien says he will not bench Brock Osweiler
Texans coach Bill O'Brien said he will not bench Brock Osweiler.

Advice: "No," O'Brien flatly said when asked about starting backup Tom Savage. "We're going to come in here tomorrow, we're going to correct mistakes, and move on to Green Bay." Osweiler threw three interceptions in Sunday's loss to the Chargers and continues to hold the offense back with his inability to consistently make the correct decision and put the ball on target. The Texans are still a half-game up in the division, but they are in real danger of falling out of the playoff picture. If Brock struggles again next week against the Packers, O'Brien could be forced to make a change. Rotoworld.com Nov 27, 3:45 pm

  • Flacco struggles, as usual, versus Bengals
Joe Flacco completed 25-of-36 passes for 234 yards, one touchdown, and an interception in the Ravens' Week 13 loss to the Bengals.

Advice: He added 19 rushing yards on two scrambles. This was a typical 2016 game for Flacco: Very few big plays, a low yards-per-attempt average (6.5), and not much scoring. Baltimore eked out the victory 19-14. Set to face an upstart Dolphins defense in Week 13, Flacco will be a mere low-end two-quarterback-league play. Rotoworld.com Nov 27, 2:44 pm

  • Jared Goff good for one half in loss to Saints
Jared Goff completed 20-of-32 passes for 214 yards with three touchdowns, one interception and a lost fumble Sunday in the Rams' Week 12 loss to the Saints.

Advice: He was sacked three times for a loss of 36 yards. It was a tale of two halves for Goff. The rookie signal-caller got off to a hot start, completing a 31-yard pass to Todd Gurley on his first pass and later capping the Rams’ opening drive with a 21-yard touchdown strike to Tavon Austin. He also connected on touchdown passes to Lance Kendricks and Kenny Britt before halftime, though he did lose a fumble on his own 10-yard line on a strip sack by Sheldon Rankins. Overall it was a great first half for Goff. He melted down after halftime, however, throwing an interception on an ill-advised pass to Kendricks and taking a pair of bad sacks. Goff looked most comfortable in the shotgun and was at his best when he looked to his second and third reads. The first overall pick has a favorable matchup against New England’s overrated defense in Week 13. Rotoworld.com Nov 27, 2:40 pm

  • Dalton predictably struggles with no weapons
Andy Dalton completed 26-of-48 passes for 283 yards and a touchdown in the Bengals' Week 13 loss to the Ravens.

Advice: He also fumbled four times, losing two. Bengals OC Ken Zampese understandably abandoned a running game that wasn't working, but the results were not positive by resorting to the air. Cincinnati is simply short on passing-game talent at this point, missing both A.J. Green (hamstring) and Gio Bernard (ACL) after losing Mohamed Sanu and Marvin Jones in the offseason. Dalton will be a mere QB2 play when Cincinnati hosts Philadelphia in Week 13. Rotoworld.com Nov 27, 2:37 pm

  • Barkley throws for 316 yards, 3 TDs
Matt Barkley completed 28-of-54 passes for 316 yards, three touchdowns and two interceptions in Sunday's Week 12 loss to the Titans.

Advice: Barkley struggled early with two red-zone picks. He padded stats in the second half, throwing two of his three touchdowns in the fourth quarter. It could have been a bigger game, but Barkley had a game-winning TD dropped on the final drive. Barkley looked shaky and doesn't have a supporting cast outside of Jordan Howard. Assuming Jay Cutler sits, he'll be a low-end streamer for a Week 13 matchup with the 49ers. Rotoworld.com Nov 27, 2:12 pm

  • Kap piles up fantasy points in 31-24 loss
Colin Kaepernick completed 29-of-46 passes for 296 yards, three touchdowns and an interception in the 49ers' 31-24, Week 12 loss to the Dolphins, adding 10 carries for 113 additional yards.

Advice: The 49ers trailed all afternoon, but this wasn't really a garbage time situation. It was Kap keeping his team in a winnable game on the road. The game nearly went to overtime, but Kap got stopped at the two-yard line as time expired. Kap and the Niners really burned the Dolphins with the read option. The 113 rushing yards were the fourth most of Kap's career (including the playoffs), and give him 373 on the year. Kap has been toeing the line between "fantasy good" and actually good. At the very least, he's been a monumental improvement on Blaine Gabbert. He'll be set up for another nice day in Week 13 against the Bears. Rotoworld.com Nov 27, 2:05 pm

  • Ryan Tannehill tosses three scores in win
Ryan Tannehill completed 20-of-30 passes for 285 yards and three touchdowns in the Dolphins' 31-24, Week 12 win over the 49ers.

Advice: It was one of the best-looking starts of Tannehill's career, with the caveat that it came against arguably the most talent-less defense of the 21st century. Tannehill would have gone over 300 yards had DeVante Parker been able to get both his feet in bounds on a pair of big plays, one of which would have been a touchdown. Tanne was dropping seeds into tight windows. The most encouraging aspect is that the performance came behind an offensive line missing three starters. Tanne faces a much stiffer Week 13 road test in the Ravens. He'll be a bottom-barrel QB2 for that one. Rotoworld.com Nov 27, 2:02 pm

  • Osweiler tosses three picks in Week 12 loss
Brock Osweiler completed 22-of-37 passes for 246 yards and three interceptions Week 12 against the Chargers.

Advice: Osweiler added 23 yards and a touchdown on the ground. Brock actually made some nice throws including a bomb down the sideline to Will Fuller in the first half, but he was as inconsistent as ever. He showed his trademarked lack of touch on an early incompletion to C.J. Fiedorowicz, and he flashed his trademarked lack of accuracy on several poorly placed throws including two of his interceptions. The first was thrown behind DeAndre Hopkins while Osweiler was moving left in the first half, and the second was thrown 10 feet over Fiedorowicz’s head in the fourth quarter. Osweiler has been holding this offense back all season, and that is unlikely to change even in a great matchup against the Packers next week. Rotoworld.com Nov 27, 1:59 pm

  • Manning throws for three scores in narrow win
Eli Manning completed 15-of-27 passes for 194 yards and three touchdowns in the Giants' 27-13, Week 12 win over the Browns.

Advice: Manning wasn't sharp in this one, missing Odell Beckham on a number of wide-open deep throws. Against any other team, today probably would have been a loss. It was against the Browns, however, and Manning ended up finding Beckham on enough plays to eke out a road win. Manning will face a stiffer, but far from foreboding, Week 13 road test in the Steelers. Rotoworld.com Nov 27, 1:51 pm

  • Matt Ryan throws pair of TDs to Gabriel in W
Matt Ryan completed 26-of-34 passes for 269 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception in the Falcons' Week 12 win over the Cardinals.

Advice: He also rushed for 15 yards with a couple of big scrambles. Both of Ryan's touchdowns were on screen passes to Taylor Gabriel, allowing Gabriel to use his elite speed and agility to scoot up the field for 35- and 25-yard scores. Even with Julio Jones taken away by Patrick Peterson, Ryan and the Falcons still moved the ball with ease, blowing Arizona out in the process. Things won't be easy in Week 13 at home against the Chiefs, but Ryan is a locked-in QB1. Rotoworld.com Nov 27, 1:47 pm

  • Bortles racks up rushing yards, scores 2 TDs
Blake Bortles completed 13-of-26 passes for 126 yards and two touchdowns and rushed eight times for 81 yards in the Jaguars' Week 12 loss to Buffalo.

Advice: Jacksonville's passing attack was a disaster in this game, as no pass catcher cleared 40 yards. Bortles still emerged with a usable fantasy week with touchdown passes to Marqise Lee and Allen Hurns, and repeated rushing exposures of the Bills' man-coverage defense. Bortles will face another man-coverage defense in Week 13. Unfortunately, it belongs to the Broncos. Rotoworld.com Nov 27, 1:39 pm

  • Taylor accounts for 2 TDs as Bills win
Tyrod Taylor completed 12-of-18 passes for 166 yards and a touchdown and rushed seven times for 38 yards and another touchdown in the Bills' Week 12 win over the Jaguars.

Advice: On a predictably slow passing day versus Jacksonville's solid pass defense, Taylor was still able to make do with his seven-yard rushing score and a 16-yard touchdown dart to Justin Hunter, on which Hunter executed an acrobatic catch. Sammy Watkins also returned on Sunday and got into the act with a 62-yard bomb in the third quarter. His ceiling and floor always buoyed by his rushing value, Taylor will be a fringe QB1 play when the Bills visit The Black Hole for Week 13. Rotoworld.com Nov 27, 1:17 pm

  • 'Suspense' over: Tom Brady active vs. Jets
Tom Brady (knee) is active for Week 12 against the Jets.

Advice: The "suspense" is over. Brady reportedly has some swelling, but we wouldn't expect it to be noticeable against the Jets. The league MVP is an elite fantasy play for Week 12. Rotoworld.com Nov 27, 11:57 am

  • Browns 'hopeful' RG3 will start again this year
According to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, the Browns are "hopeful" Robert Griffin III (shoulder, I.R.) will make starts before the end of the season.

Advice: Per Rapsheet, the "caveat" would be if Cody Kessler gets on a roll. That seems unlikely given that Kessler is out with a concussion and the team has reportedly discussed shutting him down for the year. Griffin III resumed practicing this week and could be activated as soon as Week 14. Josh McCown will draw the start at quarterback Sunday against the Giants. Rotoworld.com Nov 27, 7:29 am

  • Tom Brady (knee) expected to play Week 12
Tom Brady (knee, questionable) is expected to play Week 12 against the Jets.

Advice: ESPN's Adam Schefter reports Brady had some swelling and soreness in his knee this week. It has become clear Brady is dealing with a real injury, but there was never much doubt he would play through it. He is an elite QB1 against a struggling Jets secondary. Rotoworld.com Nov 27, 5:11 am
