  • Hurts: 95% of Kellen Moore’s offense is new
    Jalen Hurts said 95 percent of the Eagles’ new offense is new.

    Advice: Incoming offensive coordinator Kellen Moore, fresh of being fired by the Cowboys and flaming out with the Chargers, is overhauling the Philadelphia offense this summer. “I think the goal coming in was to learn Kellen’s offense and to master it, and I think that’s been a process, and by the end of it, I want it to be mine and have it in my own way,” Hurts told reporters after a recent OTA practice. Moore comes to the Eagles with a mixed record: His hyper-conservative Dallas offenses were top six in yards in three of his four seasons as OC, but his one year in LA was disastrous, due in part to Justin Herbert missing time. Moore’s focus on the rushing attack could be a boon for Saquon Barkley in 2024. It remains to be seen if Moore will keep using the most effective play in football, the tush push.     Hairston (back) was spotted practicing during the Texans' minicamp session Tuesday, per the Associated Press.

    Advice: Hairston missed all of Houston's 2023 season due to a back issue, but it now seems as if he's moved past this injury. The Central Michigan product appeared in 16 games in 2022, catching five of his eight targets for 19 yards while also playing 238 special teams snaps.     Williams (foot) is participating in on-field workouts Thursday.

    Advice: Williams missed most of OTAs due to a foot injury, but he's returned to the field for the final day of voluntary activities and appears to be handling on-field drills without limitations. Coach Sean McVay continuously downplayed the severity of Williams' injury, and it looks like the starting running back will indeed be ready to go for the start of mandatory minicamp June 10. The Rams could still opt to cap Williams' workload at practice if there are any concerns about his recovery, but it looks like he could be in position to handle the majority of first-team reps during minicamp, with rookie third-round pick Blake Corum, Boston Scott, Ronnie Rivers and Zach Evans working behind him.     Advice: Sutton trained privately and away from the team during OTAs, but he'll be present for the start of mandatory offseason activities next week. The wideout still appears to desire a new contract, as only $2 million is guaranteed of the roughly $27.6 million remaining on his current deal, which ties him with the Broncos for the next two season. Following the trade of Jerry Jeudy to the Browns earlier this offseason, Sutton is positioned as the clear top target for whoever starts at QB this season, making him an especially key factor for Denver's offense.
