    Advice: Kirkwood was brought aboard by the Ravens after having participated in minicamp on a tryout basis. In 13 games for the Saints during the 2023 regular season, the 29-year-old caught five of his nine targets for 37 yards and a TD. With the Ravens, Kirkwood will compete for a depth role in a wideout corps that also includes Zay Flowers, Rashod Bateman, Nelson Agholor, Devontez Walker, Tylan Wallace and Deonte Harty.   • Ravens sign special teamer Keith Kirkwood
    Ravens signed WR Keith Kirkwood, formerly of the Saints.

    Advice: Kirkwood has spent the majority of his career with the Saints after joining them as a UDFA out of Temple in 2018. The veteran receiver participated in the Ravens’ minicamp on a tryout basis earlier this month and will now have a chance to stick on the 53-man roster in training camp.   • Raiders may feature WR Tre Tucker in slot
    Raiders team reporter Levi Edwards believes second-year WR Tre Tucker will be the starting slot receiver in three-wide receiver sets this season.

    Advice: Tucker operated as a vertical slot receiver last year, ranking top-two in aDot (17.5), yards per reception (17.8) and deep-target rate (30.0 percent) among 17 rookie wide receivers with at least 75 slot receiving snaps. He caught 100.0 percent of his targets deemed catchable by PFF. The Raiders deep tight end group, featuring Michael Mayer and first-round rookie Brock Bowers, make for tough interior target competition but Tucker’s continuing offseason drum beat and defined role work in his favor.   • Bengals RBs ‘far more active’ in pass game
    The Athletic’s Paul Dehner reports Bengals running backs have been “far more active” in the team’s passing game in offseason practices.

    Advice: It’s unclear who will take on the Bengals’ primary pass-catching role out of the backfield, though Chase Brown excelled in that role as a rookie in 2023. The speedy Brown caught 14 of his 15 targets for 156 yards and a touchdown last season. Zack Moss could also mix in on passing downs, though he seems more likely to take on Cincinnati’s primary early down role. Last season, Joe Mixon saw an 11 percent target share (64 targets) as the team’s lead back.   • Dropped by Baltimore
    The Ravens waived Robinson on Wednesday.

    Advice: Robinson signed a deal with the Ravens after going undrafted earlier this offseason, but the team has elected to part ways with the 23-year-old.   • Healthy and explosive at OTAs
    Metchie rotated in with the first-team offense during spring practices and looked explosive while doing so, according to ESPN.com's DJ Bien-Aime.

    Advice: The 2022 second-round pick missed his rookie year while recovering from leukemia and then worked as a depth wideout for most of 2023. Slow development is understandable given the major health concerns he dealt with to start his pro career, but Metchie now finds himself in a situation where it will be tough to get many snaps even if he takes a step forward. The Texans have Nico Collins, Stefon Diggs and Tank Dell locked in as their top three wide receivers, and backup Noah Brown (shoulder) had a pair of 150-yard games last season. They even still have Robert Woods on the roster, at least for now, creating fierce competition for the No. 4 receiver role.     Advice: Cager and rookie fourth-round pick Theo Johnson have split pass-catching duties this spring at the tight end position in the wake of Darren Waller's retirement and with Daniel Bellinger sidelined due to an undisclosed injury, and both have seen first-team reps.   • Building momentum entering Year 2
    Remigio took a substantial amount of first-team reps throughout OTAs and minicamp and looked impressive, Adam Teicher of ESPN reports.

    Advice: He got a chance to handle increased reps due to first-round rookie Xavier Worthy (hamstring) being sidelined, and Teicher reports that Remigio made the most of those opportunities. Kansas City boasts a crowded but still unsettled wide receiver corps, so Remigio will have to find a way to stand out in training camp alongside all of Marquise Brown, Rashee Rice, Justin Watson, Kadarius Toney, Mecole Hardman, Skyy Moore and Justyn Ross in order to make the roster.   • Surprisingly busy during OTAs
    Thomas caught a surprising number of passes during Carolina's offseason program, ESPN's David Newton reports.

    Advice: The 2018 fourth-round pick got a lot of snaps and routes early in his career but never improved on a rookie season with 36 catches for 333 yards and two touchdowns. He then had four straight years between 136 and 197 yards, before sinking to five catches for 56 yards last season while playing a career-low 206 snaps. It sounds like Thomas may be a better fit in new coach Dave Canales' scheme, but fantasy value still seems a bit far-fetched for a player with 1,055 yards and four TDs on 2,975 career snaps. The Panthers also have Tommy Tremble and 2024 fourth-round pick Ja'Tavion Sanders competing for playing time at tight end, with the former better suited to blocking and the latter more of a receiving threat.
