  • Jets sign K Eddy Pineiro after Kessman collapses
    Jets signed K Eddy Pineiro.

Advice: The Jets will keep changing kickers until morale improves. In his first game as New York's kicker, Alex Kessman shanked two extra points in the Jets' Week 13 loss to the Eagles. There was no way Kessman was going to get another shot in Week 14 against the Saints. The veteran Pineiro made 82.1 percent of his field goal tries in 2019 for Chicago. He's not fantasy relevant.  NBCSportsEDGE.com 13 minutes ago

  • Jeff Wilson does not see a carry vs. Seattle
Jeff Wilson did not see a carry in the 49ers' Week 13 loss to the Seahawks.

Advice: There's no room for Wilson in the Elijah Mitchell Show. Head coach Kyle Shanahan has fully committed to Mitchell as his workhorse; against the Seahawks, Mitchell got every running back carry. Wilson can be stashed as running back insurance for those who rostered Mitchell.  NBCSportsEDGE.com 19 minutes ago

  • Sutton has 11% target share with Jeudy in lineup
Courtland Sutton has an 11 percent target share with Jerry Jeudy in the Denver lineup this season.

Advice: Sutton has fallen from fantasy relevance since Jeudy returned from an ankle injury that kept him sidelined for most of the season's first half. With Jeudy out of the lineup, Courtland became a target monster, commanding a 25.7 percent target share in the Broncos' balanced offense. Sutton from Week 2 to Week 7 was fantasy's tenth highest scoring receiver, ahead of highly productive WRs like Justin Jefferson and Chris Godwin. Since Week 8, when Jeudy returned from his ankle injury, Sutton is outside the top-100 highest scoring receivers. His deep ball targets have dried up: In the season's first half, Sutton led the NFL in targets of more than 20 yards downfield (19). From Week 8-13, he's seen the 29th most downfield targets (5). The bleakness knows no ends. Sutton can't be regarded as anything more than a WR4/5 in Week 14 against the Lions.  NBCSportsEDGE.com 27 minutes ago

  • Deon Jackson scores TD in Week 13 win over HOU
Deon Jackson had six rushes for 19 yards and a touchdown in the Colts' Week 13 win against the Texans.

Advice: Jackson, an undrafted free agent out of Duke, saw cleanup duty in the Colts' blowout victory over Houston. Jackson could have some fantasy relevance if Jonathan Taylor were to miss time in the season's final five weeks. Running back-needy fantasy managers might want to stash Jackson, just in case.  NBCSportsEDGE.com 43 minutes ago

  • Trent Sherfield serves as WR2 with Samuel out
Trent Sherfield caught 2-of-5 targets for 16 yards in the 49ers' Week 13 loss to the Seahawks.

Advice: Jauan Jennings was reportedly going to serve as the WR2 with Deebo Samuel sidelined, but that honor went to Sherfield, who played 98 percent of the snaps on his way to the third-most targets on the team. It seems unlikely Samuel will return this week, but it does not make a ton of sense to chase the WR2 production in this offense outside of deep leagues.  NBCSportsEDGE.com 56 minutes ago

  • Jauan Jennings targeted just once Week 13
Jauan Jennings hauled in his only target for eight yards in the 49ers' Week 13 loss to the Seahawks.

Advice: Jennings was allegedly going to be the 49ers' WR2 with Deebo Samuel sidelined, but he only played 50 percent of the snaps. Trent Sherfield, on the other hand, played 98 percent of the snaps and was third on the team with five targets, just one fewer than Brandon Aiyuk. Chasing the WR2 in this passing game does not make a ton of sense, but it looks like Sherfield is the option for those in deep leagues as long as Samuel is out.  NBCSportsEDGE.com Today, 7:42 am

  • Kenny Yeboah plays vs. PHI after Griffin injury
Kenny Yeboah did not catch his only target in the Jets' Week 13 loss to the Eagles.

Advice: Yeboah got some second half playing time because Ryan Griffin -- who caught two passes for 15 yards and a touchdown -- suffered an ankle injury. Yeboah, a preseason DFS star who had 100 yards and two touchdowns against the Eagles in August, would presumably get the Week 14 start if Griffin is sidelined. He would only be worth picking up in deep tight end premium formats.  NBCSportsEDGE.com Today, 7:18 am

  • Jake Fromm 'in line' to start Week 14 vs. Bolts
NorthJersey.com's Art Stapleton reports QB Jake Fromm is "in line" to start Week 14 against the Chargers.

Advice: Mike Glennon was diagnosed with a brain injury following the Giants' Week 13 loss to the Dolphins and Daniel Jones hasn't been cleared for contact with a neck strain that could sideline him for several weeks. That leaves Fromm, who has yet to complete an NFL pass after being drafted with the 167th pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, as the team's presumed starter against LA. The Giants signed Fromm off the Bills practice squad last week. The last we heard from Fromm, he was caught sending racist text messages and apologizing to teammates and fans for his transgressions. Fromm starting for the Giants is yet another downgrade for every fantasy-relevant player in the New York offense. • Westbrook has one catch in Week 13 loss
Dede Westbrook caught 1-of-2 targets for -2 yards in the Vikings' Week 13 loss to the Lions.

Advice: Westbrook was third among Vikings wideouts in offensive snaps because Adam Thielen exited the game in the first quarter and did not return. Thielen is expected to miss at least a week. That would make Justin Jefferson, KJ Osborn, and Westbrook in three-receiver sets for Minnesota. The Vikings have used three-wideout sets on 46 percent of their plays this season, the sixth lowest rate in the NFL.  NBCSportsEDGE.com Today, 6:32 am

  • Igwebuike takes over pass catching role vs. MIN
Godwin Igwebuike had two rushes for eight yards in the Lions' Week 13 win against the Vikings, adding one catch for 13 yards.

Advice: Igwebuike took over as Detroit's primary pass-catching back with D'Andre Swift (shoulder) out. Igwebuike ran 26 pass routes against Minnesota to Jamaal Williams' nine routes. Williams caught one pass for nine yards. Igwebuike's pass game involvement marred Williams' assumed workhorse role with Swift sidelined. Igwebuike isn't a fantasy option but his usage as a pass catcher crushes Williams' PPR floor and ceiling.  NBCSportsEDGE.com Today, 5:28 am

  • Austin Walter plays 8 snaps in Week 13 loss
Austin Walter had one rush for two yards in the Jets' Week 13 loss to the Eagles, adding two receptions for nine yards.

Advice: A week after getting nine rushing attempts and scoring a touchdown against Houston, Walter played a mere eight snaps against the Eagles. Tevin Coleman led the backfield once again with Michael Carter sidelined with an ankle injury. Ty Johnson saw some garbage time targets from Zach Wilson. • Shenault records 30 receiving yards in Week 13
Laviska Shenault caught 3-of-5 targets for 30 yards in Jacksonville's Week 13 loss to the Rams.

Advice: He also handled three concerted touches from the backfield and behind the line of scrimmage, which only amounted to a single yard. With 50 yards or fewer in six consecutive games out of Jacksonville's bye, Shenault is merely viewed as a low-floor option guaranteed a handful of targets weekly. He can be dropped for a(ny) player with upside in 10-team leagues. NBCSportsEDGE.com Today, 4:45 am

  • Treadwell leads Jaguars with 62 receiving yards
Laquon Treadwell caught 4-of-5 targets for 62 yards in Jacksonville's Week 13 loss to the Rams.

Advice: His 62 receiving yards were a team-high mark as Treadwell, for better or worse, has emerged as Jacksonville's No. 1 receiver by default in their last two games without Jamal Agnew. Although he's recorded a team-high 13 targets in that stretch, Treadwell is not worth rostering outside of deep 14-team leagues. NBCSportsEDGE.com Today, 4:42 am

  • Marvin Jones bottoms out with 11 receiving yards
Marvin Jones caught 2-of-3 targets for 11 yards in Jacksonville's Week 13 loss to the Rams.

Advice: Jones' three targets matched his season-low as he's now failed to reach 53 yards or score a touchdown in six consecutive games and has been out-targeted 13-10 by Laquon Treadwell over the last two weeks without Jamal Agnew. Jones isn't worth stashing anywhere for fantasy at this point. NBCSportsEDGE.com Today, 4:40 am

  • Hyde scores one-yard touchdown run in Week 13
Carlos Hyde rushed nine times for 24 yards and one touchdown in Jacksonville's Week 13 loss to the Rams.

Advice: James Robinson was benched for 20 consecutive plays after he lost a fumble on the team's first possession, allowing Hyde to come in for a one-yard touchdown run and eventually out-touch Robinson 10-9 altogether. Hyde did fumble at one point in the second half so it remains to be seen who will be in Urban Meyer's doghouse more. Hyde is still strictly a re-draft stash in case Robinson misses time. • Courtland Sutton silent once again in Week 13
Courtland Sutton caught 2-of-6 targets for 15 yards in the Broncos' Week 13 loss to the Chiefs.

Advice: Sutton’s nightmare streak continues, as this marked his fifth straight game with two or fewer receptions. The Broncos struggled to pass the ball all game long – with the exception of Javonte Williams catching it out of the backfield and some garbage-time Jerry Jeudy – but this is a worrying trend for Sutton. He’s impossible to trust in fantasy right now, even with a positive matchup against the Lions on tap in Week 14. NBCSportsEDGE.com Yesterday, 8:26 pm

  • Giants poach Jake Fromm from BUF practice squad
    Giants signed QB Jake Fromm.

Advice: This is likely a result of the strained neck that Daniel Jones suffered in Week 12. Fromm has no fantasy appeal, as Mike Glennon would be the presumed starter if Jones can't go against the Dolphins. • Beat: Without Deebo, Jennings would be SF's WR2
The Athletic's Matt Barrows said Jauan Jennings would be the 49ers' No. 2 receiver if Deebo Samuel (groin) is out for Week 13.

Advice: Jennings' playing time has spiked of late after minimal usage in the first half of the season. Barrow said head coach Kyle Shanahan's "trust" in Jennings has grown over the past month. The Niners being without their dominant receiver/running back Samuel would presumably make Brandon Aiyuk the team's WR1 and Jennings the WR2 against Seattle in Week 13. The big-bodied Jennings saw two red zone targets in last week's win against Minnesota, scoring once and narrowly missing another touchdown. Jennings has played about half the team's offensive snaps since Week 10. He would suffice as a low-end WR3 in a pinch if Samuel is sidelined for a week or two.  NBCSportsEDGE.com Tuesday, 7:30 am

  • Laquon Treadwell plays second-most snaps for JAX
Laquon Treadwell played 63-of-73 snaps Week 12 against the Falcons.

Advice: That number was second-most among the wide receivers and 10 more than Laviska Shenault. Treadwell did end up with one fewer target than Shenault, but he led the team with 53 receiving yards. This passing game is not good enough to chase any of the options, but this usage is at least noteworthy.  NBCSportsEDGE.com Nov 29, 8:29 am

  • Jauan Jennings emerges for 2/24/1 vs. Vikings
Jauan Jennings caught 2-of-3 targets for 24 yards and a touchdown in the 49ers' Week 12 win over the Vikings.

Advice: The three targets were a season high, while the score was Jennings' first since Week 1. Amazingly, he caught another end zone target, but narrowly avoided coming down in bounds. It obviously feels fluky as the 49ers' passing volume decreases as they go run heavy, but with Deebo Samuel battling a groin injury, Jennings could be in line for some more Week 13 run vs. Seattle.  NBCSportsEDGE.com Nov 28, 5:31 pm

  • Jeff Wilson touches ball three times for seven yds
Jeff Wilson rushed two times for five yards in the 49ers' Week 12 win over the Vikings, adding a two-yard reception.

Advice: With Elijah Mitchell (finger) back in the fold, Wilson got out-touched 32-3. Wilson's insurance status did grow a little more secure, however, as Trey Sermon was carted with a special teams ankle injury. JaMycal Hasty (ankle) could return for Week 13 vs. Seattle, but Wilson is firmly established as the No. 2 right now. • Sutton catches just two passes in Week 12 win
Courtland Sutton caught 2-of-3 targets for 17 yards in the Broncos' Week 12 win over the Chargers.

Advice: On a day Teddy Bridgewater attempted just 18 passes while the Broncos called 31 runs to their backfield duo, Sutton's three targets were the same amount as Tim Patrick and Jerry Jeudy. Sutton hasn't scored since Week 6 and has 40 yards or less in four straight games. Sutton will be a WR3/4 next week against the Chiefs. NBCSportsEDGE.com Nov 28, 4:41 pm

  • Marvin Jones gets one-handed highlight in loss
Marvin Jones caught 4-of-7 targets for 43 yards in the Jaguars' Week 12 loss to the Falcons.

Advice: Jones made an incredible one-handed snag in the closing minutes of the first half but his stat line was less incredible. He has now been held under 60 yards in five consecutive games. Jones also saw his target share dip as he finished the day with just 17 percent of the Jags' pass attempts. Laviska Shenault led the team with nine targets. Jacksonville's offense has struggled all year and is showing no signs of turning around. Jones is nothing more than a WR5 despite his sizable role. NBCSportsEDGE.com Nov 28, 2:52 pm

  • Shenault parlays nine short targets into 33 yards
Laviska Shenault caught 5-of-9 passes for 33 yards in the Jaguars' Week 12 loss to the Falcons.

Advice: Jags coach Urban Meyer talked about getting Shenault more involved in the offense earlier in the week with Jamal Agnew on injured reserve. Agnew is done for the year due to a hip issue. However, this was a less than ideal way for Shenault to lead his team in targets. He was mainly used on throws near or behind the line of scrimmage once again. This led him to earn 3.7 yards per target against a weak Atlanta defense. His usage looked more like that of a pass-catching running back than a wide receiver, as it has throughout the year. Shenault can be kept out of fantasy lineups until he shows the ability to do more than catch a few short passes each week. NBCSportsEDGE.com Nov 28, 2:01 pm

Austin Walter rushed nine times for 38 yards and a touchdown in New York's Week 12 win over the Texans.

Advice: With Michael Carter out the Jets expanded the backfield circle of trust to include Walter, who showed some decent burst and managed to score a touchdown in his hometown. Robert Saleh called him a "fire plug or a spark plug or whatever you want to call it," after the game. It's hard to roster the third Jets running back, but Walter looked like he belonged. • Urban Meyer to acknowledge Shenault's existence?
Jaguars head coach Urban Meyer said the team could create backfield touches for Laviska Shenault.

Advice: Meyer suddenly seems eager to involve Shenault in the Jacksonville offense after the team in Week 11 lost slot receiver Jamal Agnew to a season-ending hip injury. Increased touches could, Meyer said, include backfield work for Shenault, a hybrid player who has been frustratingly misused as an outside receiver for much of 2021. Meyer said he "always like to hand the ball to your best players at times because when you hand the ball to Laviska, you can’t take that away, you’re going to hand the ball to him. They can take him away in the throw game and that’s what they did a little bit." Agnew had seven rushing attempts in seven games this season. A couple handoffs or tosses to Shenault per game could make him playable in 14-team formats. He has seven rushes for 30 yards in ten games this year. Like everyone else in the Jaguars offense, he has no fantasy ceiling of which to speak.  NBCSportsEDGE.com Nov 26, 8:06 am
