Zack Wheeler parlayed a solid draft slot (No. 6 overall) into a modest performance. The team is notably deep at the running back position, as Melvin Gordon III and Joe Mixon are expected to combine for the 3rd-highest point total of all starting RB groups in the league. Zack Wheeler are projected to finish 8-5 (2,090 points), which would place them 4th in Zack Wheeler Fantasy Impact.
- Melvin Gordon III
What a tremendous early bargain for Zack Wheeler, who got Gordon III in the 5th round, about three rounds later than his ADP of 25. Following a season in which he ran for 885 yards and 10 TDs and recorded 50 catches for 490 yards and 4 TDs in 12 games, totaling 276 fantasy points, Gordon III is projected to score 302 fantasy points with the Chargers. That makes him a valuable No. 1 RB for this squad.
- Dak Prescott
Either you know something your opponents don't or you got a bit carried away with the selection of Prescott in the 8th round, about 27 slots earlier than his ADP of 118. Projected to score 321 fantasy points this season with the Cowboys, he'll be looking to perform similarly to last year when he threw for 3,885 yards and 22 TDs with 8 INTs and ran for 305 yards and 6 TDs to post 308 fantasy points. Prescott will slot in as the No. 1 QB for Zack Wheeler, according to projected points.
Week 12 will bring a difficult challenge for Zack Wheeler, as they have three players on a bye (Melvin Gordon III, Sammy Watkins, and Minnesota). King of Queens, your Week 12 opponent, won't be nearly as hamstrung with only one player (Larry Fitzgerald) on a bye.
For the second half of the season, Zack Wheeler have one of the hardest schedules in Zack Wheeler Fantasy Impact based on projections with a late-season strength of schedule ranked as the 3rd-most difficult. Despite that, for the full season, Zack Wheeler should expect a fairly balanced path that ranks as the 4th toughest.
With an average of 4.4 years of NFL experience, ranking in the middle of the pack for the league, Zack Wheeler must be counting on veteran leadership to rein in youthful exuberance. They selected one rookie (Devin Singletary). In total, there were 18 rookies selected over the course of the Zack Wheeler Fantasy Impact draft.
Even with openings at QB and TE in the 5th round, Zack Wheeler drafted RB Melvin Gordon III with the 54th pick, filling the WR/RB/TE flex position at the expense of a position of higher need. They were the second squad to make their first flex pick.

How We Grade
Draft grades are based strictly on teams' draft performances. This is calculated by counting the number of fantasy points teams are projected to score over the course of the season using their optimal line-ups. The grades do not take schedule into account. Because of bye weeks and other variables it is possible to earn a high grade yet be projected to finish in the middle of the pack. The opposite is also true. Bottom line: Fantasy Football is like the real game. You can draft the greatest talent in the world but you still need to manage your team every week to get the most out of that talent. As a wise man once said, "On any given Sunday..."
