In a battle of mediocre teams, Nathan's Nobody wants emerged victorious with a score of 75.58, narrowly defeating Lamont's Fantastic Team who scored 61.60. The win was secured on Thursday, leaving Lamont's Fantastic Team with no chance to catch up. Looks like Lamont's Fantastic Team's D+ grade lived up to expectations, while Nathan's Nobody wants's B- grade managed to squeak out a win.
Lamont's Fantastic Team's best player, Brandon Aiyuk, exceeded expectations by scoring 20.9 points, beating their projection by 11.93 points. Unfortunately, Travis Kelce fell short of their projection by scoring only 3.1 points. On the other side, Nathan's Nobody wants's star player, Brandin Cooks, outperformed their projection by scoring 14.5 points, beating it by 7.41 points. However, Austin Ekeler couldn't live up to their projection, only scoring 3.5 points.
With this win, Nathan's Nobody wants improved their record to 7-8-0 and climbed to the 5th spot in the standings. Meanwhile, Lamont's Fantastic Team's disappointing season ended with a record of 8-7-0, leaving them in 6th place. It seems like Lamont's Fantastic Team's name, or lack thereof, didn't bring them much luck this season.
As the season comes to a close, both teams can hang up their fantasy football hats until next year. Lamont's Fantastic Team should reflect on their D+ grade and try to improve for next season, while Nathan's Nobody wants can celebrate their victory and strategize for a stronger performance next year. Good luck to both teams in their future endeavors!
