In a battle of grades, Fired Beavers showed why they deserved an A, trouncing wasp with a score of 154.48 to 113.92. The victory came early on Sunday, leaving wasp in the dust. It seems Fired Beavers's projection of 146.47 was just a warm-up for their impressive performance. Maybe wasp should have studied harder for their D grade.
Fired Beavers's best player, CeeDee Lamb, really showed up to play this week, surpassing their projection by a whopping 11.59 points and scoring 28.10 points in total. On the other hand, Josh Downs from Fired Beavers fell flat, failing to meet their projection by a disappointing 9.70 points and only scoring 2.00 points. As for wasp, Tee Higgins exceeded expectations, outperforming their projection by 4.37 points and scoring 19.00 points. However, Zay Flowers from wasp couldn't quite make the cut, falling short of their projection by 10.60 points and scoring only 2.10 points.
With this win, Fired Beavers improves their record to 5-4-0 and sits at 6th place in the standings. Meanwhile, wasp's disappointing loss keeps them at a record of 3-6-0 and drops them to 14th place. It's safe to say that Fired Beavers is on the rise, while wasp is struggling to find their footing. Perhaps wasp should consider changing their name to waspnd-to-Last.
Looking ahead, Fired Beavers will face off against Throwball Champ in Week 10. After their dominating performance, Fired Beavers should feel confident heading into this matchup. As for wasp, they will be going up against San Diego Crush next week. It's going to be a tough battle for wasp, but they'll have to step up their game if they want to avoid another disappointing loss.
