In a battle of mediocrity, M's Boss Team emerged victorious over Higgin’ seek with a score of 88.64 to 75.52. The win came early on Saturday, leaving Higgin’ seek with no chance for a comeback. Both teams received lackluster grades, with M's Boss Team scraping by with a B+ and Higgin’ seek barely avoiding an F with a D-.
M's Boss Team's best player, Lamar Jackson, exceeded expectations and put up an impressive 36.34 points, beating their projection by 21.18 points. Unfortunately, Chris Olave couldn't quite find their footing and fell short of their projection by 9.74 points, only scoring 5.60 points. As for Higgin’ seek, Justin Fields was the shining star, surpassing their projection by 5.80 points and scoring 25.22 points. On the other hand, Austin Ekeler had a disappointing performance, failing to meet their projection by 10.49 points and only scoring 4.00 points.
With this victory, M's Boss Team's record improves to a lackluster 4-11-0, while Higgin’ seek's record falls to a slightly less lackluster 7-8-0. In the league standings, M's Boss Team remains in 5th place, while Higgin’ seek drops to 6th place. It seems both teams were just fighting to stay out of the bottom of the barrel. Better luck next time, I guess.
As the season comes to a close, both M's Boss Team and Higgin’ seek will have to wait until next year to redeem themselves. No upcoming matchups for them, but hey, at least they can take this time to reflect on their lackluster performances and strategize for the future. Maybe they can even watch some playoff games and take notes. Who knows, maybe they'll learn a thing or two.
