In a matchup that can only be described as average, Champs 4 KGB emerged victorious over Robbers with a score of 97.50 to 90.00. The win came early in the week, leaving Robbers with no chance for a comeback. With a grade of A, Champs 4 KGB proved that they were slightly less mediocre than Robbers, who received a C grade. It's not exactly a bragging right, but hey, a win is a win!
Champs 4 KGB's best player of the week was Mykal Walker, who defied all expectations by scoring 11.00 points, beating their projected score of 0. On the other hand, Kwity Paye disappointed with only 3.00 points, falling short of their 5.89 point projection. Robbers's shining star was Robert Spillane, who exceeded expectations with 15.50 points, surpassing their projected score of 5.91. Unfortunately, Jalen Ramsey couldn't quite live up to their projected score of 8.64, only managing to score 4.50 points.
With this win, Champs 4 KGB improves their record to 8-6-0, solidifying their spot at 4th place in the standings. Meanwhile, Robbers continues their lackluster season with a record of 3-11-0, placing them at 10th in the standings. It's safe to say that neither team will be making any waves in the league this year. Better luck next time, I guess.
Looking ahead, Champs 4 KGB has a challenging matchup next week against Majklence Adams in the quarterfinals. They'll need to step up their game if they want to continue their journey in the playoffs. As for Robbers, well, they get to enjoy a bye week in the consolation quarterfinals. It's a nice break from the disappointment of their season, but let's hope they use this time wisely to reflect on their performance and come back stronger next year.
