In a not-so-close matchup, Arch Nemesis proved their dominance over Dragons, winning with a score of 139.00 to 122.00. The victory was secured early on Sunday, leaving Dragons with no chance for a comeback. It seems like Arch Nemesis's A+ grade was no fluke, while Dragons's C- grade fell short.
Dragons's best player, Rashee Rice, surpassed their projection by 8.25 points, scoring 19.00 points. On the other hand, their worst player, Jordan Love, couldn't meet expectations, falling short of their projection by 7.12 points with a score of 10.00 points. Meanwhile, Arch Nemesis's best player, DeAndre Hopkins, had a stellar performance, beating their projection by 17.48 points with a score of 29.00 points. Unfortunately, their worst player, Sam LaPorta, couldn't deliver, falling short of their projection by 6.54 points with a score of 4.00 points.
With this win, Arch Nemesis improves their record to 7-6-1 and maintains their standing at 5th place. On the other hand, Dragons's record drops to 4-9-1, keeping them at the bottom of the standings in 11th place. It's safe to say that Arch Nemesis is having a much better season than Dragons. Maybe Dragons should consider changing their team name to 'Dragons and Done'.
Looking ahead, Arch Nemesis has a tough matchup next week against YABAI in the quarterfinals. They'll need to bring their A+ game once again to secure a spot in the semifinals. As for Dragons, they'll be facing Lone Wolf in the consolation quarterfinals. It's their chance to salvage some pride and end the season on a high note. Maybe they can pull off a miracle and prove that their C- grade was just a fluke.
