In a lopsided matchup, SMASH UNIT proved their dominance by defeating The Dawgs with a score of 347.76 to 302.04. The victory was sealed on Monday, leaving no room for a comeback. With an impressive grade of A+ compared to The Dawgs's lackluster D+, it's clear who the real fantasy football MVP is.
SMASH UNIT's best player, Jonathan Greenard, showed up and showed out, surpassing their projected score by a whopping 18.37 points. On the other hand, Wil Lutz failed to live up to expectations, falling short of their projection by 5.60 points. The Dawgs's shining star was Evan Engram, who outperformed their projection by 24.33 points. Unfortunately, Justin Herbert couldn't find their groove, scoring a dismal 1.44 points.
With this win, SMASH UNIT improves their record to an impressive 11-3-0, solidifying their spot at the top of the standings. The Dawgs, on the other hand, falls to a disappointing 6-8-0. It seems like The Dawgs will need some serious luck to turn their season around. Perhaps a name change is in order? 'The Dawgs' just doesn't have the same ring to it as 'SMASH UNIT'.
As SMASH UNIT enjoys their bye week in the quarterfinals, they can rest easy knowing they've secured their spot in the playoffs. Their strong performance this week should give them confidence going into the next round. As for The Dawgs, they may be sitting out the quarterfinals, but they still have a chance to redeem themselves in the consolation bracket. They'll need to regroup and strategize for their upcoming matchup if they want to salvage some pride.
