In a nail-biting showdown, Super Mario emerged victorious against David's Team in Week 6 of the The Wilderness. Super Mario secured the win with a score of 412.31, leaving David's Team trailing behind with a score of 402.81. The winning team took the lead early on Thursday, and despite David's Team's valiant efforts, they couldn't quite catch up. It seems like David's Team's D+ grade didn't bode well for their performance this week.
David's Team's best player, Kyren Williams, truly exceeded expectations, surpassing their projected score of 44.36 with an impressive 54.75 points. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said for Justin Fields, who fell short of their projected score of 47.36, only managing to score 20.07 points. On the other side, Super Mario's star player, Chris Olave, outshone their projected score of 29.41, finishing with a solid 42.00 points. However, Puka Nacua failed to meet their projected score of 33.02, ending the game with a disappointing 14.33 points.
With this win, Super Mario now boasts a record of 3-3-0, putting them in the middle of the pack in the standings. Meanwhile, David's Team's record stands at 4-2-0, securing them a spot in the top half of the league. Super Mario's B- grade proved to be just enough to edge out David's Team's D+ grade in this thrilling matchup.
Looking ahead, Super Mario will face off against Grizzlies next week, while David's Team will take on Prime Time. Super Mario should ride the momentum from this victory and continue to capitalize on their players' performances. As for David's Team, they'll need to regroup and strategize for their upcoming matchup. Perhaps a few roster adjustments and some extra motivation will help them bounce back from this tough loss.
