In a battle of mediocrity, Firestorm managed to squeak out a victory over Spokane Sith with a score of 101.18 to 84.34. The win came early on Sunday, leaving Spokane Sith feeling defeated before the day even began. Both teams put up lackluster performances, but Firestorm's B+ grade proved to be just enough to secure the win.
Firestorm's best player of the week was Calvin Ridley, who exceeded expectations with 22.10 points, beating their projected score by 11.66 points. On the other hand, Geno Smith disappointed with only 11.08 points, falling short of their projected score by 19.77 points. It's safe to say that Firestorm's success was more due to luck than skill.
With this victory, Firestorm improves their record to 1-0-0 and moves up to 6th place in the standings. Meanwhile, Spokane Sith's abysmal performance lands them in 10th place with a record of 0-1-0. It's clear that both teams have a long way to go if they want to be contenders in Fantasy Pro.
Looking ahead, Firestorm will face off against Slim Pickens in Week 2. They'll need to step up their game if they want to maintain their winning streak. As for Spokane Sith, they'll be going head-to-head with Laces Out. Maybe they can turn things around and avoid another embarrassing defeat. Only time will tell.
