In a battle of underachievers, Fly Eagles Fly managed to come out on top against Atliens with a score of 105.06 to 81.68. The win was secured during the late Sunday games, leaving Atliens to wallow in their disappointing D-grade performance.
Atliens's best player of the week was Breece Hall, who exceeded expectations by scoring 23.10 points, beating their projected 11.39 points. Unfortunately, Will Levis couldn't live up to their projection of 12.37 points, ending the game with a dismal -1.86 points. On the other side, Fly Eagles Fly's star performer was De'Von Achane, who outshined their projected 12.73 points by scoring an impressive 23.70 points. However, Austin Ekeler fell short of their projection of 12.65 points, settling for a mere 3.00 points.
With this win, Fly Eagles Fly's record now stands at 5-10-0, keeping them in 9th place in the standings. Meanwhile, Atliens's record remains the same at 5-10-0, leaving them in 8th place. It seems both teams are competing for the dubious honor of the bottom of the league. Can they turn things around in their final matchups?
Looking ahead, Atliens will face off against GreenCrush20 in the 9th place game. It's a battle for the bottom, but maybe they can salvage some pride in their final matchup. As for Fly Eagles Fly, they will be taking on BloomingtonBulldozer in the 7th place game. While it may not be the championship they hoped for, it's still an opportunity to end the season on a high note. Both teams should take a long, hard look at their lineups and make some strategic moves to secure a victory next week.
