In a battle of grades, The Deluge proved to be the A+ student, leaving Irish Car Bombs in the dust. With a final score of 185.40 to 163.38, The Deluge claimed victory in Week 5. The win was sealed on Monday, leaving Irish Car Bombs wondering what went wrong with their C- grade.
Irish Car Bombs's best player, Dalton Schultz, managed to beat their projection by a mere 3.08 points, scoring 12.50 points. On the other hand, Jonathan Taylor disappointed with only 3.40 points, falling short of their projection by 6.17 points. The Deluge, however, had a standout performance from Fred Warner, who exceeded expectations by 17.69 points, scoring an impressive 27.80 points. Unfortunately, Bijan Robinson couldn't quite live up to their projection, scoring only 8.80 points.
With this victory, The Deluge improves their record to 2-3-0, climbing to 15th place in the standings. Meanwhile, Irish Car Bombs drops to a 2-3-0 record and finds themselves in 14th place. It seems like The Deluge's A+ grade translated into success on the field, while Irish Car Bombs's C- grade was a reflection of their lackluster performance.
Looking ahead to next week, The Deluge will face off against TBD. With their stellar performance this week, The Deluge should enter the matchup with confidence. As for Irish Car Bombs, they will be going up against Backfield in Motion. They'll need to step up their game if they want to bounce back from this defeat. Maybe a study session is in order for Irish Car Bombs to improve their grades and performance.
