In a matchup that was as one-sided as a seesaw with an elephant on one end, Albuquerque Aztecs crushed Chasing the Kupp with a final score of 192.84 to 172.29. Albuquerque Aztecs's victory was so decisive, they could have won blindfolded. Maybe Chasing the Kupp should have spent less time crying over their C-grade and more time strategizing.
Chasing the Kupp's best player, Hunter Henry, decided to show up and actually exceed expectations, scoring 19.00 points against a 6.18 projection. Meanwhile, their worst player, Roschon Johnson, seemed to have forgotten how to play the game, scoring a measly 0.60 points when they were projected to get 7.50. It's safe to say that Chasing the Kupp's players were as inconsistent as the weather in a tropical rainforest.
With this win, Albuquerque Aztecs improved their record to 9-5-0 and solidified their spot in the standings at number 3. They are now the team to beat, and the other teams better start shaking in their cleats. As for Chasing the Kupp, their record dropped to a dismal 4-10-0, leaving them at the bottom of the league like a sad, forgotten sock.
Looking ahead to next week, Albuquerque Aztecs will face off against Hurts So Good! in the quarterfinals. Will Albuquerque Aztecs continue their reign of terror, or will Hurts So Good! manage to pull off an upset of epic proportions? Only time will tell. As for Chasing the Kupp, well, they can enjoy their bye week in the consolation quarterfinals, but maybe they should spend that time reflecting on their poor performance and come back stronger next season. Or they can just cry into a tub of ice cream. Either way.
