In a final showdown that was more one-sided than a lopsided teeter-totter, Public Enemy crushed Not Too Schauby with a score of 122.54 to 97.22. It's safe to say that Not Too Schauby's grade of D+ was as disappointing as getting a participation trophy for last place. The win came in the late Sunday games, leaving Not Too Schauby wondering if they should have just stayed in bed instead.
Not Too Schauby's best player, Justin Fields, decided to show up when it didn't matter anymore, beating his projection by a whopping 6.06 points and scoring 24.22 points. Too bad the rest of the team couldn't follow suit. On the other side, Tee Higgins must have been too busy daydreaming about next season, falling short of his projection by 6.84 points and scoring a measly 2.40 points.
With a record of 4-10-0, Not Too Schauby will be leaving this season with their heads hanging lower than a droopy sunflower. They finished in 10th place, which is about as impressive as a goldfish swimming in a puddle. As for Public Enemy, their A+ grade is a testament to their dominance. With a final record of 5-9-0, they managed to climb to 9th place in the standings. Not exactly championship material, but hey, at least they're not in last.
As the season comes to a close, Not Too Schauby can finally take a break from the disappointment and start planning for next year. Maybe they should invest in a magic 8-ball to make their lineup decisions. As for Public Enemy, well, they can bask in the glory of this meaningless victory until the next season starts. Maybe they should treat themselves to a celebratory ice cream sundae. After all, they deserve it.
