Nightmares come up short of expectations, succumb to Cervone Rage, 170-123

There's no sugarcoating it, Nightmares dropped the ball, at least according to projections, as Cervone Rage earned a 170-123 win. Nightmares grabbed a 9-point lead on Thursday, but Cervone Rage held the lead the rest of the way. They were led by Derek Carr, who passed for 248 yards and 2 touchdowns for 35 points, and Nick Chubb, who racked up 81 yards from scrimmage and ran for a touchdown (23 points). Stefon Diggs (42 points) and Kenneth Walker III (19) did everything they could for Nightmares in the loss. This marks the first time this season Cervone Rage have knocked off Nightmares, after falling 186-151 in their last matchup. Cervone Rage improve to 2-8 on the season, while Nightmares fall to 5-5.

Coach Talk

Cervone Rage
Hey, the key to football is finding and exploiting the mismatches, right? Thanks to a solid outing from Derek Carr, we doubled up Nightmares at the quarterback position this past week (35 points to 16). Carr went 24-for-38 for 248 yards, two TDs, and no INTs in a 25-20 loss to the Colts.
Nightmares
Unless Nightmares wants to go full diva-mode, then "not getting enough opportunities" can't be an excuse this time around. Our four pass-catchers (three WR and one TE) were targeted a grand total of 33 times in Week 10. Chemistry and timing seem to be issues as that group pulled down only 18 catches.
