Rebellion come up short of predictions, lose to High Fives, 108.50-97.62
There's no sugarcoating it, Rebellion underdelivered, at least according to projections, as High Fives came back for a 108.50-97.62 victory. High Fives trailed 97.62-95.50 heading into Sunday night, but the team rallied behind the Tampa Bay Buccaneers defense, who allowed only 3 points, surrendered 244 yards, and intercepted a pass for 13 points. Saquon Barkley (30.4 points) and Jalen Hurts (24.72) were the leading performers for Rebellion in defeat. High Fives (1-0) will look to maintain their momentum against Trut Miners, while Rebellion (0-1) attempt to get back on track against Dillon Panthers.
The Buccaneers defense more-than-doubled their 5.62-point projection with 13 points against the Cowboys in Week 1. They allowed only 3 points, surrendered 244 yards, and intercepted a pass in the 19-3 win. The Buccaneers defense ranks #3 among fantasy DEFs this season and will face the Saints next week.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers defense
Sunday Early
Jalen Hurts had a 54-yard pass for Rebellion, while Rashod Bateman had a 55-yard touchdown catch to contribute to a 61.62-46.90 lead for Rebellion.
Sunday Late
Both teams had players with highlight-reel plays on Sunday afternoon, after which Rebellion had a 97.62-95.50 lead. For High Fives, Davante Adams had a 41-yard catch. Saquon Barkley made the highlight reel for Rebellion with a 68-yard run.
High Fives
The key to success in football is creating mismatches. We really took that to heart this week by tripling Rebellion at the wide receiver position (59.3 points to 18.5).
Rebellion
Rebellion may find it tough to gripe about lack of opportunity this past week. As a group, our pass-catching corps (three WR and one TE) collectively saw a healthy 22 targets in Week 1. Those players should spend extra practice time working with their QBs, considering they hauled in just nine receptions.
