Jay's Mind-Blowing Team beat predictions, knock off Paranoid in 136.60-81.12 romp
Jay's Mind-Blowing Team rose to the occasion, rolling to a 136.60-81.12 victory over Paranoid, who fell short of projections. Paranoid earned a 1.70-point lead on Thursday, but it was all Jay's Mind-Blowing Team after that. They were led by Justin Jefferson (9 Rec, 184 Rec Yds, 2 Rec TDs) and Ja'Marr Chase (10 Rec, 129 Rec Yds, 1 Rec TD). Jalen Hurts (243 Pass Yds, 90 Rush Yds, 1 Rush TD) and Antonio Gibson (58 Rush Yds, 72 Rec Yds) did their part for Paranoid in defeat. Jay's Mind-Blowing Team (1-0) will look to maintain their momentum against Make 🏈 Great Again!!!!, while Paranoid (0-1) face david's Incredible Team in an effort to get back on track.
Facing the Saints in Week 1, Koo made 4 of his 5 FG attempts. In doing so, he put up 19 points to more-than-double his 7.82-point projection, the highest percent increase of any player on Jay's Mind-Blowing Team this week. In Week 2, Koo and the Falcons will face the Rams.
Sunday Early
Both teams had players with big-time plays early Sunday, but it was Jay's Mind-Blowing Team who owned the lead, 71.60-50.12. Younghoe Koo had a 54-yard field goal and a 50-yard field goal for Jay's Mind-Blowing Team, while Kareem Hunt had a 24-yard touchdown run. Jalen Hurts made the highlight reel for Paranoid with a 54-yard pass.
Sunday Late
Justin Jefferson had a 36-yard touchdown catch and a 64-yard catch for Jay's Mind-Blowing Team, while Keenan Allen had a 42-yard catch, contributing to a 136.60-59.12 lead for Jay's Mind-Blowing Team.
Jay's Mind-Blowing Team
Earning the win is most important, Jay's Mind-Blowing Team, but we've also identified one spot where we can improve as a team. Our starting QB was significantly outplayed by the opposition. Jalen Hurts went 18-of-32 for 243 yards and zero touchdowns for Paranoid, and all Aaron Rodgers could muster was a 22-for-34 day for 195 passing yards and an ugly interception. Let's work overtime to get on the same page with our receivers this week!
Paranoid
It's entirely possible that Paranoid could be a better talent scout in real football than in fantasy. With only seven total targets in Week 1, their three starting pass-catchers (two WR, one TE) apparently contributed primarily by running decoy routes and blocking downfield.
