Hustlers succumb to MANNING'S MAULERS, 2,838-1,858
There's no sugarcoating it, Hustlers underdelivered, at least compared to projections, as MANNING'S MAULERS emerged victorious with a 2,838-1,858 victory. Hustlers leapt out to a 433-point lead on Thursday behind 365 points from Matt Gay (1-1 FG, 57 long, 1-1 XP) and Matt Milano (7 Tackles). But MANNING'S MAULERS held the lead the rest of the way, powered by Patrick Mahomes (1,157 points) and Trevor Lawrence (559). MANNING'S MAULERS (1-0) will look to maintain their momentum against Admiral Dakbar, while Hustlers (0-1) meet Titan Up 2 in an effort to get their first victory.
Thursday
Matt Gay had a 57-yard field goal for Hustlers, helping to stake Hustlers to a 433-0 lead.
Sunday Early
Trevor Lawrence had a 49-yard pass for MANNING'S MAULERS, contributing to a 1,465-877 lead for the team.
Sunday Late
Davante Adams had a 41-yard catch for Hustlers, who trailed 2,746-1,793 after the late afternoon action.
MANNING'S MAULERS
Hey, it's good to be confident, MANNING'S MAULERS. It's a bold move to roll out not one, not two, but THREE players with zero points (Marcus Davenport, Darrell Taylor, and Kerry Hyder Jr.), while still getting a W. All we ask is to please keep those flashy shenanigans to the early regular season. Can you imagine how silly we'd look if we let it happen in the playoffs?
Hustlers
Hustlers may find it tough to complain about lack of opportunity this past week. As a group, our pass-catching corps (four WR, one TE) were targeted a hearty 33 times in Week 1. Chemistry seems to be the primary issue, as that group reeled in just 20 catches.
