Indianapolis Colts come up short of expectations, succumb to Dallas Cowboys, 209.22-177.70
Indianapolis Colts were unable to bring their A game, as Dallas Cowboys secured a 209.22-177.70 win. Indianapolis Colts earned a 43.68-point lead early Sunday afternoon behind a combined 54 points from Garrett Wilson (8 Rec, 102 Rec Yds, 2 Rec TDs) and Bobby Okereke (11 Tackles). But Dallas Cowboys held the lead the rest of the way, powered by Jared Goff (256 Pass Yds, 4 Pass TDs) and Tony Pollard (43 Rush Yds, 1 Rush TD, 55 Rec Yds). Dallas Cowboys (1-1) will look to keep it rolling against Minnesota Vikings, while Indianapolis Colts (1-1) will attempt to right the ship against Las Vegas Raiders.
In a 31-30 win over the Browns, Davis scored 20.3 points to more-than-double his 9.52-point projection. He caught 2 passes for 83 yards and a touchdown to beat his projection by the highest percentage of any player on Dallas Cowboys this week. Davis will face the Bengals next week.
Sunday Early
Jared Goff had a 22-yard touchdown pass and a 49-yard pass for Dallas Cowboys, while Corey Davis had a 66-yard touchdown catch for the team, who trailed 133.00-89.32 after the early slate.
Sunday Late
Brett Maher had a 54-yard field goal and a 50-yard field goal for Dallas Cowboys, while Tony Pollard had a 46-yard catch, contributing to a 209.22-147.50 lead for Dallas Cowboys.
Dallas Cowboys
Well, we do applaud the confidence this past week, Dallas Cowboys. Playing a starter with negative points (Dalton Schultz) while still earning a win... that's borderline arrogant. All we ask is to please limit that flashy, show-off type of stuff to the early regular season. Try it in the postseason and we're toast.
Indianapolis Colts
Well, we certainly can't whine about a shortage of opportunities this week, can we? Our six pass-catchers (four WR and two TE) were targeted a grand total of 36 times in Week 2. With only 19 total catches, this group may need to work on chemistry with their QBs.
