Despite top scorer Lamb, Fuzzy Wuzzy's fall to Wild in 105.3-103.0 struggle
Fuzzy Wuzzy's had the highest scorer in the league this week with WR CeeDee Lamb racking up 29 points, but it wasn't enough to defeat Wild, who rallied for a 105.3-103.0 victory. Despite trailing 103.0-95.0 heading into Sunday night, Wild staged a comeback behind Chris Godwin (8 Rec, 63 Rec Yds). CeeDee Lamb (10 Rec, 120 Rec Yds, 2 Rec TDs) and Matt Gay (3-3 FG, 55 long, 6-6 XP) carried the flag for Fuzzy Wuzzy's in defeat. This marks the first time this season Wild have gotten the best of Fuzzy Wuzzy's, after falling 137-109 in their last matchup.
Against the Patriots in Week 16, Burrow passed for 375 yards and 3 touchdowns. In doing so, he put up 25.5 points to scored 24.5% higher than his 20.49-point projection, the highest percentage of any player on Wild this week. Burrow will go up against the Bills next week.
Saturday
Both teams had players with big-time moments Saturday, but it was Wild who emerged with the lead, 95.0-71.7. George Kittle had a 34-yard touchdown catch and a 33-yard touchdown catch for Wild, while Joe Burrow had a 23-yard touchdown pass. CeeDee Lamb made the highlight reel for Fuzzy Wuzzy's with a 36-yard touchdown catch.
Sunday Early
Tyreek Hill had a 52-yard catch for Fuzzy Wuzzy's, who trailed 95.0-84.0 after the early slate.
Sunday Late
Matt Gay had a 55-yard field goal and a 53-yard field goal for Fuzzy Wuzzy's, helping the team to a 103.0-95.0 lead.
Wild
We're curious if the GM of Wild was feeling a bit squeamish this one? In a matchup that was ultimately decided by only 2.3 points, Tyler Bass (0-for-1 on the day) thought that going 1-for-1 on field goals would've made things just a bit too boring. Remember folks, every point matters!
Fuzzy Wuzzy's
Well, Fuzzy Wuzzy's, this week's problem isn't exactly rocket science. Choosing to start Kyle Pitts and Jalen Hurts in what wound up being a tight fantasy matchup... let's try to play with a full deck of cards next time?
