Team Nasty fall short of expectations, lose to Rodney's Optimal Team, 114.56-89.10

There's no way around it, Team Nasty dropped the ball, at least compared to projections, as Rodney's Optimal Team earned a 114.56-89.10 win. Rodney's Optimal Team nabbed a 27-point lead early Sunday afternoon behind standout showings from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers defense (26 points) and Breece Hall (12.5) and never looked back. The Buffalo Bills defense (7 Pts Allowed, 187 Yds Allowed, 4 Turnovers) and Evan McPherson (3-3 FG, 50 long) led the way for Team Nasty in the loss. Rodney's Optimal Team (1-1) will look to keep it rolling against Cloud 9 Stonerz, while Team Nasty (1-1) will take on Mountain Climbing Jellyfish in an effort to get some positive momentum.

Inside the Matchup

Matchup Player of the Week

The Buccaneers defense was one of four starters to overachieve for Rodney's Optimal Team this week. They scored 26 points (10 Pts Allowed, 308 Yds Allowed, 5 Turnovers) against the Saints in Week 2 to more-than-quadruple their 6.43-point projection. The Buccaneers defense ranks #21 among all fantasy players this season and will face the Packers next week.

Coach Talk

Rodney's Optimal Team
Way to live up to the squad nickname! With a winning margin of 25.46 points this past week, the GM for Rodney's Optimal Team assembled a starting lineup that was definitely optimal for Week 2's purposes.
Team Nasty
Unless Team Nasty wants to go full diva-mode, then "not seeing many looks" is definitely not a viable excuse this week. As a group, our trio of pass-catchers (two WR, one TE) collectively saw a grand total of 19 targets in Week 2. Chemistry and timing seem to be issues as that group reeled in only 10 balls.
