MARAUDERS fall short of expectations, succumb to Felixthedogs, 196.97-177.10
There's no way around it, MARAUDERS didn't do their job, at least based on projections, as Felixthedogs emerged victorious with a 196.97-177.10 victory. MARAUDERS took a 1.28-point lead early Sunday afternoon, but Felixthedogs held the lead the rest of the way. They were led by Lamar Jackson (25.72 points) and Joe Mixon (21.5). Russell Wilson (25.8 points) and Kareem Hunt (23) led the charge for MARAUDERS in the loss. Felixthedogs (1-0) will look to maintain their momentum against Yokohama Zets, while MARAUDERS (0-1) will attempt to get back on track against Treasure Hunters.
Walker nearly quadrupled his 4.53-point projection with 17.7 points against the Commanders in Week 1. He made 4 tackles , recorded a sack , and intercepted a pass in the 28-22 loss. Walker will face the Colts next week.
Sunday Early
There were players with highlight-reel moments on both teams early Sunday, but after all the plays were accounted for, MARAUDERS boasted a 95.10-93.82 lead. For Felixthedogs, Lamar Jackson had a 55-yard touchdown pass and a 25-yard touchdown pass. Kareem Hunt had a 24-yard touchdown run for MARAUDERS, while Jaylen Waddle had a 42-yard touchdown catch.
Sunday Late
Keenan Allen had a 42-yard catch for MARAUDERS, who trailed 156.67-127.80 after the late afternoon round of games.
Monday
Russell Wilson had a 67-yard touchdown pass for MARAUDERS.
Felixthedogs
Three wide receivers, two running backs, one tight end, zero touchdowns: The six offensive skill starters on Felixthedogs combined to record a healthy 395 total yards. Not one of those players could get into the end zone in Week 1.
MARAUDERS
Look, MARAUDERS, I've been in this business long enough to realize that sometimes points just seem to miraculously appear out of the blue. Then sometimes (ahem, Week 1) they don't! Hmmm, alright... maybe asking for an extra 20 points is a bit overzealous.
