Despite top scorer Herbert, Huss Monkeys fall to CARDINAL & GOLD, 163.4-158.4

Justin Herbert accumulated 78.5 points for Huss Monkeys, the best total in the matchup and third-highest in the league this week, but it wasn't enough to topple CARDINAL & GOLD, who came back to earn a 163.4-158.4 victory. CARDINAL & GOLD trailed 158.4-121.5 heading into Monday night, but the squad made a run behind Nick Folk, who made both of his FG attempts for 11 points. Justin Herbert (367 Pass Yds, 1 Pass TD) and the Kansas City Chiefs defense (28 Pts Allowed, 320 Yds Allowed, 2 Turnovers) carried the flag for Huss Monkeys in defeat. This marks the second time this season CARDINAL & GOLD have gotten the best of Huss Monkeys, after winning 232.6-175.1 in their last matchup. CARDINAL & GOLD (8-6) will look to keep it rolling in the playoffs. Huss Monkeys will be home for the playoffs, finishing the season at 5-9.

Coach Talk

CARDINAL & GOLD
You know CARDINAL & GOLD, I'm a "glass half full" kind of coach. While some may harp on the fact that our scoring output has declined a bit lately, I'll choose to spin this in a positive direction. Averaging 175.58 points through Week 13, our crew has shown it's certainly capable of outproducing the 163.4 we needed for this past week's win!
Huss Monkeys
Huss Monkeys may find it tough to complain about lack of opportunities this past week. As a group, our four pass-catchers (three WR and one TE) collectively received a hearty 22 targets in Week 14. Chemistry could be the primary problem, as that group managed just 10 catches.
